거도광산의 단사휘석에 관한 광물학적 연구 (Mineralogy of Clinopyroxene from the Geodo Mine)

  • Clinopyroxene in the Geodo mine belongs to diopside-hedenbergite series. It is widely distributed throughout the mine area together with garnet and is also closely related with Fe-mineralization. Clinopyroxenes in the Geodo mine including two samples from the sangdong and Ulchin Mines are studied using polarized microscope, EPMA, XRD, and IR spectroscopy for occurrence, chemistry, structure, and crystal chemistry. Especially, variations in unit-cell parameters are examined in relation with the substitution scheme between Fe and Mg cations. Clinopyroxenes in the Geodo mine occur in both endoskarn and exoskarn zone. It is mostly anhedral to subhedral with fine- to medium-grained in texture, but some have bigger crystals of short prismatic or columnar habits. Clinopyroxene occurs as monomineralic or is associated with mostly garnet and sometimes with actinolite, magnetite, epidote, and chlorite. Chemical analysis reveals that the Geodo clinopyroxene is diopsidic in composition (Di: 65-96%). This fact is in good contrast with garnet chemistry showing mostly andraditic (An: 41-82%). Especially, clinopyroxene coexisting with magnetite belongs to nearly end member diopside (Di: 97-99%). Thus, diopside-andradite pair indicates that Geodo skarns were formed under the reduced environment. X-ray diffraction analysis shows unit-cell parameters vary with increase of Fe contents: a = 9.765-9.838$\AA$, b = 8.943-9.020$\AA$, c= 5.240-5.253$\AA$.$\beta$ = 105.70-104.83$^{\circ}$, and V =440.64-448.19$\AA$3. It is noted from the least square regression that a, b and V increase linearly with increase of Fe content, while $\beta$ slightly decreases and c remains nearly unchanged as change in Fe content. These trends are to difference between synthetic and natural clinopyroxenes. This fact is also recognized in IR spectra which show a slight shift of several absorption bands toward lower wavenumber region with increasing Fe content.

  • 유기금속 착화합물 $Me_2Pt(PPh_2CH_2C(t-Bu)=N-N=CMe(2-py)-\kappa^2N,P)$을 phosphino hydrazone $Ph_2PCH_2C(t-Bu)=NNH_2$와 2-acetylpyridine와 $[PtMe2({\mu}-SMe_2)]_2$를 사용하여 합성하였다. X-선 회절법을 이용하여 이 화합물의 분자 구조를 규명하였다. 이 백금 화합물의 결정학적 자료는 monoclinic, space group $P2_1/n,\;a=11.6926(7)\;{\AA},\;b=15.6607(19)\;{\AA},\; c=14.6125(6)\;{\AA},\;\beta=93.018(4)^{\circ},\;Z=4,\;V=2672.0(4)\;{\AA}^3$이다. 결정 구조는 직접법으로 해석하였으며, 5238개의 회절 반점에 대하여 최종 신뢰도 인자 R=0.0363인 분자 모형을 구하였다.

  • X-선 회절법을 이용하여 C_{28}H_{41}N_4O_4Br\;{\cdo}t\;2H_2O$의 분자 및 결정구조를 해석하였다. 이 결정의 결정계는 Triclinic이고 공간군은 Pl이며, 단위포 상수 a=9.000(1) $\AA$, b=9.312(3) $\AA$, c=9.344(2) $\AA$, $\alpha=89.37(20)^{\circ},\;\beta=68.81(3)^{\circ},\;\gamma=84.70(4)^{\circ},\;V=726.7(8){\AA},\;T=298K,\;Z=1,\;D_c=1.402Mgm^{-3}$이다. 회절반점들의 세기는 Enraf-Nonius CAD4 Diffractometer로 얻었으며 사용한 X-선은 graphite로 단색화한 $MoK{\alpha}$$(\lambda=0.71073\;{\AA}$을 사용하였다. 분자구조는 Direct method로 풀었으며, $F_o>4{\sigma}(F_0)$인 2521개의 독립 회절 데이터에 대하여 최소 자승법으로 370개의 변수를 정밀화하여 최종 신뢰도 값 $R=5.95\%$를 얻었다.

  • X-선 회절법을 이용하여 $C_{16}H_{19}O_2N_3CuCl_2\;{\cdot}\;H_2O$의 분자 및 결정구조를 해석하였다. 이 결정의 결정계는 Triclinic이고 공간군은 Pl이며, 단위포 상수는 $a=7.6202(9)\;{\AA},\;b=8.5943(7){\AA},\;c= 8.6272(6){\AA},\;\alpha=67.518(6)^{\circ},\; \beta= 68.043(8)^{\circ},\;\gamma=74.370(8)^{\circ},\;V=478.89(8)\;{\AA}^3,\;T=295K,\; Z=1,\;D_c=1.504Mgm^{-3}$이다. 회절반점들의 세기는 Enraf-Nonius CAD-4 Diffractometer로 얻었으며 graphite로. 단색화한 $MoK{\alpha}$,$(\alpha=0.7107\;\AA)$을 사용하였다. 분자구조는 Direct method로 풀었으며, $F_0>4\sigma(F_0)$인 1659개의 독립회절데이터에 대하여 최소 자승법으로 234개의 변수를 정밀화하여 최종 신뢰도 값 $R=2.47\%$를 얻었다.

  • Acanthopanax divaricatus Seem. is a medicinal plant growing widely through out Korea, Japan and China. The plant material of Acanthopanax spp. is used as analgesic , tonic, sedative drug as well as for the treatment of hypertension, rheumatism and diabetes. From the stem barks and root barks of A. divaricatus, diterpenoid compound was isolated and identified as pamaric acid ($C_{20}H_{30}O_2,\;mp\;164^{\circ}C$), lignan compounds were isolated and identified as d-sesamin ($C_{20}H_{18}O_6,\;mp\;123{\sim}124^{\circ}C$), eletheroside E ($C_{34}H_{46}O_{18},\;mp\;257{\sim}259^{\circ}C$), three sterol compounds were identified as ${\beta}$-sitosterol, campesterol, stigmasterol, and six fatty acid compounds were identified as stearic acid, palmitic acid, oleic acid, linolenic acid, arachidonic acid and behenic acid. And also leaves of A. divaricatus, chiisanoside were identified, one of secotriterpenoidal compound(white amorphorous powder crystal, mp $228^{\circ}C$). Anticancer activity and nephrotoxicity were tested by MTT assay. Anticancer effect of chiisanoside was much lower than that of cisplatin.

상자성 구리(Ⅱ) 화합물의 합성과 그 특성 연구 (Synthesis and Characterization of Paramagnetic Copper(Ⅱ) Complexes)

  • 질산구리와 2,2'-dipyridylbenzylamine(dpb)를 에탄올 용액에서 반응시켜 새로운 구리 착화합물, $Cu(dpb)(NO_3)_2$(1)를 합성하였다. 아세토니트릴 용액에서 재결정하여 단결정을 얻었으며 XRD법을 이용하여 결정 구조를 확인하였다. 결정은 orthorhombic 형태로서 $P2_1/c$ 군에 속하고 그 밖의 자료들은 다음과 같다. a=12.501(9)${\AA}$, b=9.231(10)${\AA}$, c=17.119(6)${\AA}$, ${\alpha}=90^{\circ},\;{beta}=107.33(4)^{\circ},\;{\gamma}=90^{\circ},\;V=1885.8(2){\AA}^3,\;R_1=0.0647,\;_{w}R_2=0.1866$, Z=4. EPR, NMR, UV/VIS, 그리고 IR 등의 분광학적인 확인법에 의하여, 합성된 화합물은 디피리딜아민 유도체를 리간드로 하는 전형적인 상자성 구리(II) 배위 화합물임을 확인하였다.

  • 블루 안료 15 : 6이라 불리는 ${\epsilon}$ 결정상의 동프탈로시아닌(${\epsilon}$-CuPc)는 LCD 패널에서 청색화소를 제공하는 중요한 소재로써, 본 연구에서는 ${\epsilon}$-CuPc 시료를 ${\epsilon}$-CuPc 나노 입자를 seed로 이용하는 방법으로 여러 조건에서 합성하여 적합한 용매 및 온도조건 등을 규명하였고, 이를 미리 합성한 ${\alpha}$${\beta}$ 결정상의 CuPc 시료들과 비교함으로써 ${\epsilon}$-CuPc 시료의 결정상, 결정 순도, 합성 수율 및 미세구조를 상호 비교 분석하였다. 시료들의 화학 구조 및 결정 구조는 푸레어 변환 적외선(FT-IR) 분광기 및 X선 회절 분석기(XRD)를 이용하여 각각 비교 분석하였다. 또한, 입자의 형상 및 크기는 주사 전자현미경(FE-SEM)으로 비교 분석하였고, 열적 특성은 열중량분석기(TGA)를 이용하여 비교 분석하였다.

아데노 바이러스 Cytosine Deaminase/Thymidine Kinase 융합 유전자의 항 종양효과 (Antitumor Effect of an Adenoviral Cytosine Deaminase/Thymidine Kinase Fusion Gene in C6 Glioma Cells)

  • Objective : We investigated the feasibility of a double suicide gene/prodrug therapy, involving direct introduction of the herpes simplex virus Type 1 thymidine kinase(TK) gene and the Escherichia coli cytosine deaminase(CD) gene, via a recombinant adenoviral vector and ganciclovir(GCV) and/or 5-fluorocytosine(5-FC) treatment, in C6 glioma cells. Methods : Efficient gene transfer and transduction of C6 glioma cells via a recombinant adenovirus were evaluated by infecting cells with adenovirus bearing the ${\beta}$-galactosidase gene and then staining cells with 5-bromo-4-chloro-3-indolyl-13-D-galactoside. CD/TK expression in cells infected with adenovirus bearing the CD/TK gene(ad-CD/TK) was examined by immunoblotting analysis. For in vitro cytotoxicity experiments, the cells were infected with ad-CD/TK or ad-${\Delta}E1$(as a control). After addition of a variety of concentrations of GCV and 5-FU, either separately or in combination, cell viability was determined by staining the cells with crystal violet solution 6 days after infection. Result : C6 glioma cells were efficiently transduced with recombinant adenoviral vector at multiplicities of infection of 200 or more. In vitro cytotoxicity of GCV and/or 5-FC, either alone or in combination, was exclusively observed in the cells transduced with ad-CD/TK. Obvious cytotoxicity(>50% inhibition) was observed in the presence of 5-FC at concentrations greater than 30ug/ml or GCV at concentrations greater than 0.3ug/ml at a multiplicity of infection of 100. Additionally, cytotoxicity in the presence of both GCV and 5-FC was greater than that after sinlge-prodrug treatments, indicating additive effects of the prodrug treatments. Conclusion : The administration of a double-suicide gene/prodrug therapy might have great potential in the treatment of brain tumors.

Superplastic Deformation in the Low Stress Region

  • Superplastic alloys generally exhibit a three-stage sigmoidal variation of stress (f) with strain rate (s), the stages being named region 1, 2 and 3 according to the increasing order of stress or strain rate. In the recent years, two different types of papers have been published on the plastic deformation of Zn-22% Al eutectoid in region Ⅰ differing in strain-rate sensitivity m (= dln f/dln s). In this paper, the data of the two groups have been analysed by applying Kim and Ree's theory of superplastic deformation. (1) We obtained the parametric values of $X_{gj}/{\alpha}_{gj}\;and\;{\beta)_{gj}$ (g: grain boundary, j = 1,2 indicating flow units) appearing in Kim and Ree's theory [Eq. (2a)]. (2) It was found that the value of $X_{g^2}/{\alpha}_{g^2}$ is small for the group data with small m, i.e., ${\alpha}_{g^2}$, which is proportional to the size of flow unit g2, is large whereas ${\alpha}_{g^2}$ is small for the groups data with large m, i.e., the size of the flow unit g2 is small. In other words, the two types of behavior occur by the size difference in the flow units. (3) From the ${\beta}_{gj}$ value, which is proportional to the relaxation time of flow unit gj, the ${\Delta}H_{gj}^{\neq}$ for the flow process was calculated, and found that ${\Delta}H_{g^2}^{\neq}$ is large for the group data with small m whereas it is small for the group data with large m. (4) The flow-unit growth was studied, but it was concluded that this effect is not so important for differentiating the two groups. (5) The difference in ${\alpha}_{g^2}$ and in the growth rate of flow units is caused by minute impurities, crystal faults, etc., introduced in the sample preparation.

단일모드 광섬유 집광기를 이용한 Hong-Ou-Mandel 간섭 가시도 향상 (Improvement of Hong-Ou-Mandel Interference Visibility by Using a Single-Mode Optical-Fiber Photon Collector)

  • 우리는 Hong-Ou-Mandel 간섭 실험에서 95% 간섭가시도를 획득했다. 지난 연구에서 56% 가시도를 획득한 것에 비하면 획기적으로 가시도가 개선되었다. 우리는 제1형 자발적 매개 하향 변환 목적으로 제작된 ${\beta}$-Barium Borate 단결정에 405 nm 단일모드 연속 발진 레이저를 주사하여 만들어진 쌍둥이 광자쌍을 표준적인 Hong-Ou-Mandel 간섭광학계를 거치게 한 후 다이오드 기반 단일광자 계수기와 자체적으로 제작한 동시계수기에 의해 간섭신호를 측정했다. 지난 연구와 이번 연구의 가장 큰 차이점은 광자를 집광하는데 단일모드 광섬유를 사용했다는 점이다. 단일모드 광섬유는 중심부 크기가 매우 작기 때문에 광결정에서 발생하는 여러 서로 다른 모드 광자 사이의 우연한 동시계수를 억제시키는 공간 필터역할을 함으로써 가시도가 개선된 것으로 보인다.
