Electronic devices used in the mobile environments fabricated under the plasma conditions in high vacuum system. Especially for the development of advanced electronic devices, high quality plasma as the process conditions are required. For this purpose, the variable conductance throttle valves for controllable plasma employed to the high vacuum system. In this study, we analyzed the effects of throttle valve applications on vacuum characteristics simulated to obtain the optimum design modelling for plasma conditions of high vacuum system. We used commercial simulator of vacuum system, VacSim(multi) on this study. Reliability of simulator verified by simulation of the commercially available models of high vacuum system. Simulated vacuum characteristics of the proposed modelling agreed with the observed experimental behaviour of real systems. Pressure limit valve and normally on-off control valve schematized as the modelling of throttle valve for the constant process-pressure of below 10-3 torr. Simulation results plotted as pump down curve of chamber, variable valve conductance and conductance logic of throttle valve. Simulated behaviors showed the applications of throttle valve sustained the process-pressure constantly, stably, and reliably in plasma process.

Simulation is becoming increasingly popular in construction for training, planning and for assessment of projects. There are, however, significant problems inherent in simulating construction which are not common to other simulations. This paper describes the development and use of computer-based game for teaching and learning of some aspects of construction project management. It is concerned with the development of a model used to simulate the construction of a rock- and clay-fill dam. It includes detailed physical modelling of the performance of individual pieces of equipment and their interaction with the ground, the geography of the project and the weather in which the equipment operates. The behaviour of all of the individual pieces of equipment when acting as fleets is also discussed. The paper also describes the modelling issues of non-technical aspects of earthmoving operations. These include environmental impact, safety, quality and risks. The problems of integrating these with the physics-based models of the equipment performance are discussed. The paper also draws on real experience of using the game in classes in three universities in different countries.
The main objective of this study is the assessment of the ability of limestone mortars to resist to different chemical attacks. The ability of polypropylene (PP) fibres waste used as reinforcement of these concrete materials to enhance their durability is also studied. Crushed sand 0/2 mm which is a fine limestone residue obtained by the crushing of natural rocks in aggregates industry is used for the fabrication of the mortar. The fibres used, which are obtained from the waste of domestic plastic sweeps' fabrication, have a length of 20 mm and a diameter ranging between 0.38 and 0.51 mm. Two weight fibres contents are used, 0.5 and 1%. The durability tests carried out in this investigation included the water absorption by capillarity, the mass variation, the flexural and the compressive strengths of the mortar specimens immersed for 366 days in 5% sodium chloride, 5% magnesium sulphate and 5% sulphuric acid solutions. A mineralogical analysis by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and a visual inspection are used for a better examination of the quality of tested mortars and for better interpretation of their behaviour in different solutions. The results indicate that the reinforcement of limestone mortar by PP fibres waste is an excellent solution to improve its chemical resistance and durability. Moreover, the presence of PP fibres waste does not affect significantly the water absorption by capillarity of mortar nether its mass variation, when exposed to chloride and sulphate solutions. While in sulphuric acid, the mass loss is higher with the presence of PP fibres waste, especially after an exposure of 180 days. The results reveal that these fibres have a considerable effect of the flexural and the compressive behaviour of mortar especially in acid solution, where a reduction of strength loss is observed. The mineralogical analysis confirms the good behaviour of mortar immersed in sulphate and chloride solutions; and shows that more gypsum is formed in mortar exposed to acid environment causing its rapid degradation. The visual observation reveals that only samples exposed to acid attack during 366 days have showed a surface damage extending over a depth of approximately 300 ㎛.
Customers have the various needs and personalities and try to get them. The behaviour of buying products, one of the highlight things, is the most general phenomenon of filling up their desires, and even these types are eventually personalized. Also there are various criteria for selecting it and also those are to be determined by the customers' own personalities. Mostly customers show the more attractive behaviours for those products which are more attractive to them, and for carefully buying them they use various paths. The criteria to buy the products are the mostly generalized things such as price, design, size, weight, trend, and so on, and it can be affected by the specifics of the products. But it is not definitely unimportant to consider the personality. Customers have the unusual personality for the product which is more attractive to them, and then for the unattractive, they only show the unclear criteria or specifics. The existing studies are focused on the product itself, and then they just show the results related to the specifics of the products, but it could be considered a case that the customers could think some products classified into the highly involvement products would be the lower involvement ones. Upon this, for same products if the customers show some differences of information(relating to the degree of involvement), I am going to figure it out by using AHP that what the criteria to buy is. In this study, with the computer products which are considered as the highly involvement products, I will select two groups showing the differences of awareness of the products, and then figure out the selecting criteria.
A demand of marine outfall system has been much increased for the effective disposal of the wastewater due to population and industrial development at the coastal areas. The outfall system discharges primary or secondary treated effluent into the coastline, or at the deep water, or between these two. The discharge is carried out by constructing a pipeline on the sea bed with a diffuser or with a tunnel, risers and appropriate. The effluent, which has a density similar to that of fresh water, rises to the sea surface forming plume or jet, together with entraining the surrounding salt water and becomes very dilute. Thus there have been growing interests about plume behaviour around the outfall system. Plume or jet discharged from single-port or multi-port diffuser might cause certain impacts on coastal environment. Near field mixing characteristics of discharged water field using CORMIX model have been studied for effective outfall design various conditions on ambient current, depth, flow rate, effluent concentration, diffuser specification, port specification etc.. This kind of analysis is necessary to deal with water quality problems caused by the ocean discharge. The analyzed result was applied to the Pusan Jungang effluent outfall system plan.
As the new competitive environment become more global, technologically oriented and customer driven, as customers continually demand higher quality, faster response, and greater reliability of products and services, the new global market demands a more customer responsive behaviour by companies and firms have responded with innovative products and improved manufacturing processes to manufacture products. Further, the shift from traditional manufacturing and purchasing to JIT manufacturing and purchasing requires customers and suppliers to shift from adversarial relationships to strategic partnerships, and information sharing, so as to attain flexibility, reliability, and speed. SCM practices such as supplier collaboration and information sharing is considered as a key to attaining supplier network responsiveness and enhancing the product innovation and the market access time. The current research investigates the effect of SCM practices on supplier network responsiveness, the product innovation and the market access time of export companies. Thus by providing empirical evidence of the said relationships, this study offers useful guidelines for measuring and improving the supplier network responsiveness of a firm, facilitating further research in the area.
Activated sludge sewage treatment processes are difficult to be controlled because of their complex and nonlinear behaviour, however, the control of the dissolved oxygen level in the reactors plays an important role in the operation of the facility. For this reason, this study is designed to present a system which accurately measures DO, MLSS, pH and ORP in the aeration tank to alleviate situations above and provide the automatization of a sewage treatment plant (STP) using new DO control system. The automatic control systems must be guaranteed the accuracy. Therefore, the proposed automatic DO control system in this study could be commercial applications in the aeration tanks by means of operating cost analysis and user-friendly for operation and maintenance. We could get accurate data from the lab tank which has water quality checker because there was no vortex and air bubble during the measurement process. Improvement of confidence in the lab tank enabled effective and automatic operation of sewage treatment plants so that operation costs and manpower could be saved. If this result is put in place in every sewage treatment plant nationwide for practical purposes, it is estimated to cost 18.5 million dollars in installing the lab tank and to save 9.8 million dollars in management cost a year, except for cost saved by automation.

Purpose - This study examined the relationship between dyadic relationship between leaders and followers (DRLF), distributive justice (DISJ), job satisfaction (JSTC), and organizational commitment (OGCM). Research design, data, and methodology - 200 sets of survey questionnaires were distributed to the employees at a municipal office in East Malaysia using purposive sampling technique. Only 60 percent or 115 questionnaires were returned to the researchers. The survey data were analysed using the SmartPLS due to its ability to deliver latent construct scores, handle small sample size problems and estimate relationship between many constructs in the hypothesized model. Results - The findings indicated that there is a significant correlated direct relationship between DRLF and DISJ and mediating relationship between DRLF, DISJ and personal outcomes, which are JSTC and OGCM. Conclusions - This study confirms that DISJ does act as an important mediating variable in the relationship between DRLF with JSTC and DRLF with OGCM. Other dimensions of personal outcomes, such as extra-role behaviour, job motivation and service quality should be considered in future study because they are found to be the important outcomes of the relationship between DRLF and DISJ. The importance of these issues need to be further advanced in future research.
The groundwater is a very important part of the environment and must be protected for the benefit of the present and future generation. The contamination of soil and groundwater by chemicals has become an increasing concern in the recent past. These chemicals enter the groundwater system by a wide variety of mechanisms, including accidental spills, land disposal of domestic and industrial wastes and application of agricultural fertilizers. Once introduced into an aquifer, these contaminants will be transported by flowing groundwater and may degrade water quality at nearby wells and streams. For improving the management and protection of groundwater resources, it is important to first understand the various processes that control the transport of contaminants in groundwater. Predictions of the fate of groundwater contaminants can be made to assess the effect of these chemicals on local water resources and to evaluate the effectiveness of remedial actions. In this study, an attempt has been made to investigate the behaviour of solute transport through porous media using laboratory experiments. Sodium chloride was used as a conservative chemical in the experiment. During the experiment, pulse boundary condition and continuous boundary conditions were used. Experimental results have been presented for conservative solute transport in the sand. The pattern of the break through curve remains almost same in all the cases of varying flow rate and initial concentration of conservative chemical.
