A Study on Managing Dataset Records in Government Information Systems (행정정보 데이터세트 기록의 관리방안)

  • According to a recent survey, over 18,000 government information systems have numerous different functions and characteristics. Although every dataset that is created and maintained in government information systems is declared as a collection of records according to the Public Records Management Act, current electronic records management policies cannot cover dataset records management. This study suggests the policy directions for dataset records management at the national level. It emphasizes the necessity to preserve the appearance and behavior (function) of database systems to ensure the authenticity of dataset records. In addition, this study investigates "emulation" as a representation and long-term preservation methodology for dataset-type records. It also suggests a dataset records model.

Relationship between consumer behavior, perception of nutritional information, and menu factors on fast food using eye-tracking: A study on university students in Jeonju

  • This study analyzed the factors that influence menu choices through eye-tracking and questionnaires in menu design. Demographic data of subjects coincided with choosing a menu and eye-tracking data. Hot Crispy Chicken Burger is the most popular menu. The study found that regardless of the selected menu, the menu name (35.5 seconds), price (21.6 seconds), and image (16.0 seconds) were viewed the longest, followed by country of origin (8.81 seconds), calories (4.6 seconds), and special indications (p<0.05). The menu name and image were checked more frequently, while calorie information was checked less often. As a result of analyzing various factors that influence menu selection through, Consumer experience and image greatly influenced menu choices. Therefore, if you want to receive a menu selection, it is considered effective to make good use of the menu name and image. In results of principal component analysis (PCA) by gender showed. Men had the longest price in the fixation duration. But, for females, there was a significant difference in gaze fixation when they took the exam, with menu names and special indications being important selection criteria. Since the results show that selection criteria and information acquisition methods differ depending on gender, this research is thought to be able to suggest directions for menu design.

Analytical Study of Static and Dynamic Responses of Multi-story Brick Pagoda of Silleuksa Temple (신륵사 다층전탑의 구조해석에 대한 연구)

  • Recently, cultural heritages in South Korea gain many interests of restoration and preservation from the government since many of that have been severely damaged during earthquakes. Many previous studies in both terms of experimental and analytical approaches have been done to examine structural behavior and decide appropriate methods of preservation. Being motivated by such researches, this research aims to investigate a religious stone pagoda dated back to the Goryeo Dynasty in Korea. The structure consists of a granite stone foundation and baked bricks, which resembles the shape of traditional pagodas. In order to examine the structural behavior of the pagoda, an analytical model is implemented using ANSYS, a comprehensive engineering simulation platform. For the time history analysis of the pagoda, several earthquake excitations are chosen and input to simulation modeling. Seismic response of the tower such as time domain, natural frequency, modal shapes and peak acceleration measured at each layer are presented and discussed. In addition, the amplification ratio of the tower is calculated from the accelerations of each layer to determine tower stability in accordance with Korean seismic design guide. The determination and evaluation of status and response of the brick tower by simulation analysis play an important role in the preservation of history as well as valuable architectural heritages in South Korea.

A Mother's Influence on Her Children Regrading Environmental Preservation (어머니의 환경보전행동이 아동기 자녀의 환경보전행동에 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to find a mother's influence on her children regarding environmental preservation. The questions of this study are how a mother's background variables influence on their own behaviors, how the children's background variables influences on their own behaviors, how a mother's background variables influence on their children behaviors. This is used self-writing questionaires the 538 subjects are 4th, 5th and 6th grade children and their mothers living in Kwangiu, in June, 1998. The data are analyzed by Frequency, Percentage, Mean, Pearson's correlation, Regression analysis, Path analysis, Coronbach'$\alpha$ coefficent, and Factor analysis. These are the major resets of this study. 1) In case of mothers, the background variables for them to be influenced the environmental presentation behaviors show the frequency of contact for environmental information, average income, family cohesions, the level of communication, egoistic orientation, and age. 2) In Children, the background variables which are influenced on their environmental presentation behaviors represent the frequency of contact for environmental information, family cohesion, biospheric orientation, and the grade level of children. This is, the children who have the more chance of environmental information contact, the higher family cohesion, the higher biospheric orientation, and the lower grade level show the more environmental preservation behaviors. 3) The children who grow seeing their mothers'environmental behaviors such as sorted disposal, recycle behavior, and purchasing behaviors also show the more same behaviors.

A Study on the College Students' Behavior of Hyo(filial-piety) (대학생의 孝行에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify several variable which were assumed to have relationship with the college students behavior of Hyo, to see their possible correlation with demographic characteristics, and to proved some useful data for their possible correlation with demographic characteristics. and to provide some useful data for their sound value system. The data for this study was obtained form the survey of the 477 students who reside in the city of Seoul by using questionnaire methods. The frequency of variables was statistically analyzed to see the general character of the samples and factor analysis was made for classification of the college student's behavior of Hyo. In order to study th characteristic of demographic variables, t-test and ANOVA were conducted The major findings of this study can be summarized as follows. 1) As the result of factor analysis about behavior of Hyo, six factors (Which Eigen value was above 1.0) out of 64 questions were extracted : 'respect' familiarity' 'family consciousness' 'serve' self-preservation, establishmence of them-selves in life' and 'self-reliance' were selected. 2)In general, it can be said that the college students' behavior of Hyo varies by demographic variables. 3) By surveying the level of actualizing Hyo of the college students' all of factors ranged from 'the middle' to 'the high level'. The result confirmed that students fulfilled the behavior of Hyo to their parents in all items.

A Study on Factors Related to sex behavior and attitude of unmarried person (미혼남녀의 성행태 및 성의식 관련 요인분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyse factors related to sex behavior and intention to premarital purity on the basis of theory of reasoned action. A structured Questionnaire was developed on the basis of Triandis model. Survey was conducted to 1662 unmarried person in high school students, college students, and workers. The results are as follows. For the factor of sexual behavior, male, older age had higher experience to sexual relationship, but for the factor of premarital purity, female and workers than student had higher consciousness of purity. Positive attitude to premarital purity, expectation toward preservation of purity, parental and social normative influence and facilitating factor such as experiences of sex education showed significant relationship to intention of premarital purity. Also multiple logistic regression showed that health behaviors such as smoking and drinking, sex and job were statistically significant factor for sex behavior. The result of this study suggest that educational program sex as well as good health behavior should developed and theory-based models in conducting health education research.

  • Environmental issues are increasingly important in consumer decision-making. This paper focuses on the consumer's role in consumption process-purchase, use, and disposal, which has significant environmental consequences. And this paper discusses several approaches to motivate consumer's awareness and responsibility for the environment and further his/her lifestyle change. The Green Consumer should be able to consider the implications of his/her lifestyle choices as well as his/her purchase, use, and disposal decisions. Consumer education and various consumer movements for environment preservation should keep the goal in perspective, which is not only to motivate consumer's long-term behavior change but also to consign his/her buying power and political power to help make changes where he/she really counts.

  • The purpose of this study was to achieve regarding the environmental problem due to excessive economic development for human being's continous life and to try to enhance the quality of life. The major findings of this study are as followings: 1) Environmental consciousness and activity are closely correlated and also postively related to quality of life. Accordingly, environmental consciousness should be inspired and the environmental activities performed successfully to enhance the quality of life so that we can lead higher quality of life. 2) Income takes the highest position in the life-influncing factor with the following sequence of environmental consciousness, preservation acitivity, housekeeper's education level and age. So, earlier and steady education are important in raising the education level to have people equipped with environmental consciousness and activity. Moreover, we should be able to create income through education to enhance the quality of life. Accordingly, we should take a positive measure for enhancing environmental preservation and quality of life to meet two solutions, such as mankind's continuous development and value-oriented life.

Elution Behavior of Nutrient Salts from Sediment and its Impact on Water Bodies

  • This paper describes the influence of nutrient salts eluted from the bottom of a closed water area where polluted sediment has been deposited by inflowing river water. The elution pattern was monitored at our experimental facility. Both the sediment pore water and water above the bottom were sampled using a dialyzer sampler (peeper). The pore water of the eutrophicated sediment contained a large amount of nutrient salts, and the effect of elution was confined to a limited area of the bottom surface. The nutrient concentration of the sediment pore water was closely related to both the water temperature and dissolved oxygen (DO) concentration. The eluted nutrients from the sediment provided a source for phytoplankton and algae growth. This experimental data indicated that the water quality of the surface was not directly connected to the eluted nutrient salts, while it was indirectly affected by the total ecosystem, including all the organisms within an area and their environment.

Rheological properties of arabinogalactan solutions related to the carbohydrate composition of different legumes

  • The aim of this study was to elucidate chemical structures and rheological properties of arabinogalactans (AGs) isolated from three legumes including black gram (BG), great northern bean (GNB), and California small white bean (CSWB). The ratio of galactose to arabinose (G/A) in three legumes increased in the order of BG > GNB > CSWB. The rheological measurements of 1-5% (w/v) AG solutions revealed Newtonian and non-Newtonian flow behaviors. BG exhibited yield stress, indicating plastic behavior. Small-amplitude oscillatory tests indicated viscoelastic properties of BG, GNB, and CSWB ranging from solid-like, paste-like, and liquid-like behaviors, respectively. Small-strain oscillatory tests were conducted to assess the structure recovery of the AGs after pre-shearing. G" values of BG and GNB increased, but those of CSWB remained constant after shearing. These results suggest that the chemical structures of the AGs, particularly their G/A ratios, influence their rheological properties.
