  • This paper deals with stand-alone Photovoltaic system(SPVS) with charge and discharge controller. Main power source of SPVS are generally solar cell and battery. therefore SPVS can be classified into variable types in accordance with connection type between battery and solar cell. Mainly used one of them is direct connection type which has advantages such as simple structure and simple controller. However most big drawback of this system is energy loss by voltage disharmony between solar cell and battery. Therefore SPVS with charge and discharge controller which can operate solar cell at maximum power point is designed and analyzed by simulation in this paper.

  • Release competition and development of eco-friendly vehicles have been conducted violently also automaker, it will be a high growth industry of the charger and battery, which is the driving source of the motor of an electric vehicle. Reduces the on-resistance power elements DC - DC converter for battery charger for electric vehicles, must minimize switching losses. Should have a low on-resistance power than existing products. Compare the Super Junction MOSFET and Planar MOSFET, As a result, super junction MOSFET improve on about 87.4% on-state voltage drop performance than planar MOSFET.

  • Fast response, regenerative energy capturing and commercial maturity of battery characterize it as the best complementary source for hybrid Railway propulsion systems (HRPSs). Although all batteries which have been commercialized do exhibit these features, but on the band of comparative performance and optimization facilitation for HRPSs, every battery occupy different level. This paper is intended to identify the determinants of the performance level in order to select the best option among batteries for HRPSs.

  • Current limiting diode (CLD) was fabricated using junction field effect transistor (JFET) structured two small cells and eight large cells. Two small cells and eight large cells were connected in parallel and the obtained constant current was 110 mA. The application of CLD in each of the parallel circuits on chip on board (COB) type LED lighting source, could significantly reduce the current deviation within the parallel circuits. The applications of CLD on AC power small lighting source, battery power low voltage parallel lighting source and AC flat lighting source were investigated.

  • 본 논문은 충방전 제어기를 사용한 독립형 태양광 발전시스템을 다루고 있다. 독립형 태양광 발전시스템의 주전원은 일반적으로 태양전지와 배터리이다. 그러므로 독립형 태양광 발전시스템은 배터리와 태양전지와의 결선에 따라서 다양한 형태로 구분할 수 있다. 그중 주로 사용되는 결선은 태양전지와 배터리를 직접 연결하는 것으로 단순하고 간결한 구조를 갖는 이점이 있다. 그러나 그러한 시스템은 배터리와 솔라셀 사이의 전압불균형으로 인한 손실을 갖는다. 그러므로 태양전지를 최대전력점으로 운전할 수 있는 충방전 제어기를 갖는 독립형 태양광 발전시스템을 제안하여 순시치제어기로 설계하였다. 시스템의 동작특성을 실험실의 초기 시작품으로 검증되었다.

  • 본 논문에서는 입력 전압 DC 24 [V]로 출력 전압 AC 220 [V] 정현파 출력을 낼 수 있는 인버터 기능과 충전 전압 및 충전 전류를 조정할 수 있는 DC 24 [V]용 자동 충전기 기능을 동시에 가지는 전원 장치의 시작품을 제작하고 실험을 통해서 타당성을 검증하였다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 전원장치는 두 기능을 동시에 가지면서도 전력 수수의 라인을 하나의 라인으로 회로 구성을 실현하여 스위치 소자 및 고주파 트랜스를 인버터 동작이나 충전기 동작 시에 겸용으로 사용함으로서 인버터나 충전기 각각의 제품을 구성하는데 사용된 제품 구성품에 비하여 매우 경제적이며, 저가의 마이크로 프로세스 (PIC16C74)를 사용하여 스위칭 동작 및 시?스 회로의 동작을 제어함으로서 전 체적인 제품의 구성을 간략화 하였다.

  • A betavoltaic battery was prepared using radioactive $^{63}Ni$ attached to a three-dimensional single trenched P-N absorber. The optimum thickness of a $^{63}Ni$ layer was determined to be approximately $2{\mu}m$, considering the minimum self-shielding effect of beta particles. Electroplating of radioactive $^{63}Ni$ on a nickel (Ni) foil was carried out at a current density of $20mA/cm^2$. The difference of the short-circuit currents ($I_{sc}$) between the pre- and post-deposition of $^{63}Ni$ (16.65 MBq) on the P-N junction was 5.03 nA, as obtained from the I-V characteristics. An improved design with a sandwich structure was provided for enhancing performance.

  • In this paper, operation algorithms for a parallel HEV equipped with a relatively small motor are investigated. For the HEV, the power assist and the equivalent fuel algorithms are proposed. In the power assist algorithm, an electric motor is used to assist the engine which provides the primary power source. Tn the equivalent fuel algorithm, the electric energy stored in the battery is considered to be an equivalent fuel, and an equivalent brake specific fuel consumption for the electric energy is proposed. From the equivalent fuel algorithm, distribution of the engine power and the motor power is determined to minimize the fuel consumption for a given battery state of charge (SOC) and a required vehicle power. It is found from the simulation results that the fuel economy and the final battery SOC depend on the motor discharge energy and it is the best way to charge the battery only by the regenerative braking, not by the engine to improve the overall fuel efficiency of the HEV with the relatively small motor.

  • Laser material processing is a very fast advancing technology for various industrial applications. because of many advantages. Its major advantage of less and controlled heat input has been exploited successfully for the very critical application of aluminium alloy welding. This study suggested the occurrence source of weld-defects and its solution methods in a welding of lithium ion battery by pulsed Nd:YAG laser. In experiment. battery case has changed over joint geometry from welding of side position to flat one. In the case of a electrolyte injection hole in order to seal it. welding is carried out after pressing Al ball. At this time. an eccentric degree. contact length and gap are worked as a major parameters. As improving the method of Al ball pressing. it was able to reduce an eccentricity. increase the contact length and decrease gap. As a results of a experiment. a sound weld bead shape and crack-free weld bead can be obtained.
