By managing not only geographical information but also various kinds of attribute data. GIS presents useful information for decision-makings. Most of decision-making problems using GIS can be formulated into network-optimization problems. In this study we deal with the implementation of network optimization system that extracts data from the database in GIS. solves a network optimization problem and present optimal solutions through GIS' graphical user interface. We design a nitwork optimization system and present some implementation techniques by showing a prototype of the network optimization system. Our network optimization system consists of three components : the interface module for user and GIS the basic network the program module the advanced network optimization program module. To handle large-scale networks the program module including various techniques for large sparse networks is also considered, For the implementation of the network optimization system we consider two approaches : the method using script languages supported by GIS and the method using client tools of GIS. Finally some execution results displayed by the prototype version of network optimization system are given.

The purpose of this study is that how the housewives' participations of a cultural program that has carried out in a public library influence on their families. So I investigated and analyzed that influences through the research questionnaires to those housewives in Seoul, Kyoung-Ki and In-Cheon as the subject of investigation. I adjusted the focus to make the basic data for the better development and activation of that cultural programs.

The patentability of computer program has been discussed because of its deviation from the traditional definition of a patent. The relativities of computer programs to hardware are classified to measure the relative patentability of computer programs in this paper. It can be seen through the patentability analysis that the change in patentability basically follows an exponent part of the function is a damping factor that determines a patentability degree or trend. The basic patentability of computer programs is revealed when the damping factor value is 1, and a statistical patent specification, an appropriate expression of applicability and substantiality of computer programs is needed to acquire a patent right.

The aim of the research is to develop a PC based courseware which is programed to drafts clothing patterns. The pattern making are numerically formulized. The of the program were as follows；1. Menu and instructions are displayed in Korean Language. 2. Easy step-by-step instructions explaining how to draw basic pattern and design pattern. 3. Low cost personal computer and general purpose printer are used. The source program was written in C-language and compiled using Turbop C. The Bezier spline is used to draw curves of pattern and to display Korean characters and pattern on same screen simultaneoulsy, Korean characters are drawn graphically. The low cost IBM Personal Computer or compatibles with Hercules Graphic Card is required to run this grogram.

During the development process of a thermal-hydraulic system code, a non-regression test (NRT) must be performed repeatedly in order to prevent software regression. The NRT process, however, is time-consuming and labor-intensive. Thus, automation of this process is an ideal solution. In this study, we have developed a program to support an efficient NRT for the SPACE code and demonstrated its usability. This results in a high degree of efficiency for code development. The program was developed using the Visual Basic for Applications and designed so that it can be easily customized for the NRT of other computer codes.

This paper describes the applicable method of part stress analysis failure rate prediction for electronic components in the MIL-HDBK-217D. The part stress analysis method requires the great amount of detailed informations, such as operating temperature, operating environment, etc. This paper calculates the failure rate of electronic components using the computer program. The program was written by Fortran V and has four basic units as follows (1) Raw data file (2) Failure rate calculation (3) Reliability modelling(Series only) (4) New data file The Functions and structure of the program are illustrated.

Purpose: At the moment prevention and treatment of animal related diseases is becoming a social concern as the demand for animal increases. Furthermore, The design of the veterinary medical teaching hospital are even more complex because they have to accommodate medical program for animal and education and research program for students. However, there are a few experience and useful guidelines for the planning of the veterinary medical teaching hospital. So it is not easy for the regional hub universities to work out the proper plan for the construction of the veterinary medical teaching hospital for their own. This study has been started in order to provide basic informations for the planning of Korean veterinary medical teaching hospital. Methods: Interview to veterinarian, intern and employee of the veterinary medical teaching hospital and Field surveys to veterinary medical teaching hospital in Korea have been conducted for the data collection. The drawings of three universities of veterinary medical teaching hospital have been analysed and diagramed. Results: The result of this study can be summarized into three points. The first one is that the veterinary medical teaching hospital spaces are divided into five areas (ambulatory care, central medical care, hospitalization, education and research, operations and support) and each area is divided independently and connected properly. The second one is that the veterinary medical teaching hospital differs from hospital in the detailed space plan in the sense that the animal is a patient. The third one is that each hospital has different operating practices and programs according to local conditions Implications: It is meaningful as a basic source of veterinary medical teaching hospital design in the future.

For the purpose of rational design of air insulation, it is need to experiment with similar to real shape test object and conform the characterisics. But basic distances of air insulation of transmission line, tower, etc. can be acquired from flashover characteristic of rod-rod, rod-plane electrodes. In this paper, before field test of 765kV transmission line for determination of distances of phase to ground insulation, we execute lightning, switching impulse test with test electrod(rod-rod, rod-plane) against clearances of air insulation. Each tests use up-down method and consist of 30 times flashover test. Flashover data treatment program and air correction program following IEC 60-1(1987) standard were completely builted.

The existing compressor steel seal used in automotive air-conditioner has the problem of oil leakage and the deterioration in shielding performance, due to the abrasion and the corrosion of the material. A new type of polymer resin seal is studied in the research. The polymer resin seal has the characteristics of high anti-abrasiveness and anti-corrosiveness, which can overcome the deflects of the steel seal. In addition, the seal needs lower manufacturing cost and is appropriate to mass production, because it is made by the injection molding method requiring no mechanical processing. The profile generation program for seal mold has been developed using the gradient method, and the molding characteristics of the seal have analyzed through the flow analysis and the warpage analysis. The program has been verified by comparing the analysis results with the measured data of the test product. The research might be said to provide the basic method to produce the polymer resin seals with various types and dimensions.

The Purpose of this paper is to analyze of community space of high-rise housing as a basic research towards developing a model of spacial convergence. For this, 10 cases of high-rise housing complexes are compiled. Research methods are as follows. First, through the analysis of 10 high-rise housing complexes, the types of community space program are categorized by concepts. Second, community space plans are analyzed by floor. The results of this study are summarized as follows. First, through the analysis of 10 cases, the types of community space program are classified 8 categories : Culture, Health, Leisure, Education, Life-style Assistance, Business Assistance, Open Space, Commercial Facility. Second, community space plans are arranged at the lower floor of the building at a high ratio. Third, the types of convergence model for community programs are suggested by 4 categories : Human, Time, Experience, Local Community. Fourth, community space configuration is categorized by 4 types.
