Form-ratio means the ratio of Height/Width/Depth in 3-dimensions. The golden ratio or golden section is included as one of the form-ratio. Kansei Engineering System has some basic design databases. Form-ratio and color are basic design elements and they are very important for designing various products in viewpoint of Kansei Engineering. The subjects evaluate the form-ratios of 3-dimensional cubes and virtual products (refrigerator) with SD-scale kansei words(feelings and images). The golden ration was evaluated as "not beautiful" in refrigerator. We compared with the kansei of cube model and virtual product, and obtained databases of the relationship between the form-ratio and kansei.
This review aims to introduce the basic neurobiological aspects of dream. There have been long debates on whether the neurobiology of rapid eye movement (REM) sleep is identical to that of dream. However, many theories on dream are based on the findings of REM sleep. Bizarre cognition and intense emotion in dream have been suggested to derive from physiological (e.g. desynchronized gamma oscillation and postsynaptic inhibition), chemical (e.g. decreased noradrenalin and serotonin, increased acetylcholine and modulation of dopamine), anatomical (e.g. deactivation of dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and activation of limbic and paralimbic areas) change in REM sleep. In addition, dream has been suggested to play its neurobiological roles. Processing of negative emotion may be one of the functions of dream. Dream is also supposed to consolidate memory, especially semantic memory. Despite a number of hypotheses and debates, the neurobiological mechanism of dream generation has not been concluded.

The process of human information transmission system is one of the foundation characters of energy transmission system on human. If energy transmission has not happened on human that human cannot react anything about everything. Therefore, to know about the system of human information transmission is a study to get basic information to explain a lot of things for human. This study deals with human reaction speed according to display signals of each color, and the result will be analyzed to apply to the design switches for various machines.

This study's basic intention is to analyze property of combination relations of formative element composing robot' s face based on a result of preference response on robot's design. Also, in order to improve preference from the analysis result, the study intended to inquire into possibilities of suggesting design guideline. For the above, photographs of 27 robots' faces were selected as a experimental stimuli, and experiments on preference response and association response were performed. As a result, various properties such as robots' form of eyes having greater influences than facial structure, etc. Based on the result, each formative element's property that could have positive influence preference response on robot's face could be drawn and basic design guideline could also be suggested.
This case study was designed to test the effect of eclectic play therapy with parent's counseling and education programs for aggressive 2 years old boy. It was found that the boy had some important problems about emotion control ability, social problem-solving skill, and basic daily living practices adding to aggressive behavior. After the treatment of 10 sessions which taken once in a week, he showed much improved ability about emotion control, social problem-solving skill and basic daily living practices, and didn't show any more aggressive behavior without proper reason. Light is a basic force that functions in all the formative arts. Light (brightness) is an important subject of study in that it contains the force to control emotion and has much influence upon the shaping of a visual image and a feeling. If an artist systematizes the characteristics of brightness and creates an image, he or she can acquire a useful tool of expression. Because light is a powerful medium of expression of a visual image, a study on the characteristics of brightness for the emotional expression of an image in the contextual relationship with narratives seemingly has a crucial meaning. Emotion is influenced by a visual image very much, and a visual image is inevitably influenced by light. The brightness by light is basically classified into bright, dim, and dark. And the three basic stages of brightness specialize an image according to the setting of scope of maximal and minimal luminosity, and the image is further differentiated by the size of bright portion or dark portion. Since emotion is such a phenomenon as immaterial and psychological, it is difficult to break down it. Furthermore, clarifying the principle of an image in which the shade of light is associated is impossible. However, the width of luminosity and the change of size can give quite a change to a visual image, and the visual image has further influence upon man's emotion too. Although the influence of brightness upon a visual image varies with extents, circumstances, and personal tastes and interests, even the same image clearly changes with the adjustment of brightness.

Autonomic responses were analyzed in 323 college students exposed to visual stimulation with Korean Affective Picture System (KAPS). Cardiac, vascular and electrodermal variables were recorded during 30 sec of viewing affective pictures. The same slides intended to elicit basic emotions (fear, anger, surprise, disgust, sadness, happiness) were presented to subjects in 2 trials with different experimental context. The first time slides were shown without any instructions (passive viewing), while during the second with instruction to exert efforts to magnify experienced emotion induced by pictures (active viewing). The aim of the study was to differentiate autonomic manifestations of emotions elicited by KAPS stimulation and to identify the role of instructed emotional engagement on physiological response profiles. The obtained results demonstrated reproducibility of responses in both trials with different contexts. Pairwise comparison of physiological responses in emotion conditions revealed the most pronounced differentiation for "ear-anger" and "fear-sadness" pairs (in electrodermal and HR variability parameters). "Fear-surprise" pair was also well differentiable. The typical response profile for all emotions included HR acceleration (except happiness and surprise), an increase of electrodermal activity, and a decrease of pulse volume. Higher cardiovascular and electrodermal reactivity to fear observed in this study, e.g., as compared to data with IAPS as stimuli, can be explained by cultural relevance and higher effectiveness of KAPS as stimuli, can be explained by cultural relevance and higher effectiveness of KAPS in producing certain emotions such as fear in Koreans.

This paper suggests to apply mirror-reflected method based 2D emotion recognition database to 3D application. Also, it makes facial expression of fuzzy modeling using probability of emotion. Suggested facial expression function applies fuzzy theory to 3 basic movement for facial expressions. This method applies 3D application to feature vector for emotion recognition from 2D application using mirror-reflected multi-image. Thus, we can have model based on fuzzy nonlinear facial expression of a 2D model for a real model. We use average values about probability of 6 basic expressions such as happy, sad, disgust, angry, surprise and fear. Furthermore, dynimic facial expressions are made via fuzzy modelling. This paper compares and analyzes feature vectors of real model with 3D human-like avatar.
This paper presents a study on the performance of the music search based on the automatically recognized music-emotion labels. As in the other media data, such as speech, image, and video, a song can evoke certain emotions to the listeners. When people look for songs to listen, the emotions, evoked by songs, could be important points to consider. However; very little study has been done on the performance of the music-emotion labels to the music search. In this paper, we utilize the three axes of human music perception (valence, activity, tension) and the five basic emotion labels (happiness, sadness, tenderness, anger, fear) in measuring music similarity for music search. Experiments were conducted on both genre and singer datasets. The search accuracy of the proposed emotion-based music search was up to 75 % of that of the conventional feature-based music search. By combining the proposed emotion-based method with the feature-based method, we achieved up to 14 % improvement of search accuracy.
The purpose of this study is to effect of social exclusion on depression of married in rural areas mediated by emotion regulation strategies of the 206 immigrant women in chungcheongbuk-do. The study main results are as follows. First, Results of correlation analysis show positive(+) correlation of the relational exclusion, cultural exclusion, community exclusion, basic service exclusion, economical exclusion, and negative(-) correlation of the positive emotion regulation strategies, negative emotion regulation strategies. Second, Results of hierarchical regression are positive(+) effect of the relational exclusion, community exclusion, economical exclusion, negative(-) effect of the social participation exclusion, exclusion. Third, Results of path verify that effect of social exclusion on depression perfect mediated by emotion regulation strategies. Therefore, To decrease of Depression of Immigrant Women in Rural Areas is to decrease Social Exclusion, Also there is included positively a strategy to increase of emotion regulation strategies.
