  • Rural decline due to the decrease of the local population is an inevitable phenomenon, and a vicious cycle has been formed between a lack of basic living services and a population decrease in rural areas. Therefore, the study aims to derive the migration decision-making characteristics based on basic living service infrastructure data in rural areas. To do this, the population change over the past 20 years was categorized into six types, and the relationship between the classified population change types and the number of basic living service infrastructures was analyzed using decision tree analysis. Of the total 3,501 regions, 801 regions were the continuous decline type, of which 740 were rural areas. On the other hand, among 569 regions that were the continuous increase type, 401 regions were urban areas, confirming the population imbalance between rural and urban areas. As a result of the decision tree analysis on the relationship between population change types and the distribution of basic living service infrastructure, the number of daycare centers was derived as an important variable to classify the continuous increase type. Hospitals, parks, and public transportation were also found to be major basic living services affecting the classification of population change types.

  • A Suggestion of In-situ Rock Mass Evaluation and Correlation between Rock Mass Classfication MethodsThe purpose of this study is to find out rock mass classification method which is practically applicable to a field and to consider a correlation between the new method and the old method. Rock mass is an aggregate of separated blocks. To express the aggregate, the properties of both intact rock and rock mass should be considered. In this study, therefore, parameters for rock mass description are classified into rock strength and rock structure. Indices for parameters evaluation are obtained from old method and the strength and structure property of rock is described by using those indices. Value of 25 is allocated to each parameter obtained. $RMR_{basic}$ =0.86(X=Method)+14.47 is derived between $RMR_{basic}$ and this study and $RMR^*$ = 0.87(X-Method)+9.20 is derived between revised RMR and this study. Coefficient of determination is $R^2$=0.841 and $R^2$=0.846 each.

  • The purpose of the current study was to investigate the level of market size and market share of domestic research equipments for analyzing the difference of the number and amount of construction by the manufacturing countries in the basic and analytical science fields based on the information of the research equipment invested by the Korean government for the past 14 years. As of January 1 2019, from 2005 to 2018, 20,687 research facilities & equipments (main equipment with a construction cost of 30 million won or more) built in the basic and analytical science fields were selected for this study and their components, standard classification, number of construction, and amount of construction by country of manufacture were analyzed. Differences of the number and amount of construction among manufacturing countries were tested using a single sample chi-square test and one-way analysis of variance, followed by Bonferroni's post-hoc test. As a result of this study, the number of construction (p<.001) and construction amount (p<.05) were statistically different for each manufacturing country. The level of market size and market share was significantly different according to the equipment standard classification (p<.05). Therefore, differentiated strategies of the government and policy research projects will be required for each type of equipment and amount in order to support the policy for the localization of research equipment.

  • Packet classification is one of the basic and important functions of the Internet routers, and it became more important along with new emerging application programs requiring real-time transmission. Since packet classification should be accomplished in line-speed on each incoming input packet for multiple header fields, it becomes one of the challenges in designing Internet routers. Various packet classification algorithms have been proposed to provide the high-speed packet classification. Hierarchical approach achieves effective packet classification performance by significantly narrowing down the search space whenever a field lookup is completed. However, hierarchical approach involves back-tracking problem. In order to solve the problem, set-pruning trie and grid-of-trie algorithms are proposed. However, the algorithm either causes excessive node duplication or heavy pre-computation. In this paper, we propose a smart set-pruning trie which reduces the number of node duplication in the set-pruning trie by the simple merging of the lower-level tries. Simulation result shows that the proposed trie has the reduced number of copied nodes by 2-8% compared with the set-pruning trie.

  • The Internet users want to get real-time services for various multi-media applications. Network traffic rate has been rapidly increased, and data amounts that the Internet has to carry have been exponentially increased. A packet is the basic unit in transferring data at the Internet, and packet classification is one of the most challenging functionalities that routers should perform at wire-speed. Among various known packet classification algorithms, area-based quad-trie (AQT) algorithm is one of the efficient algorithms which can lookup five header fields simultaneously. As a representative space decomposition algorithm, the AQT requires a small amount of memory in storing classification rules, but it does not provide high-speed classification performance. In this paper, we propose a new packet classification algorithm by applying a binary search for the codewords of the AQT to overcome the issue of the AQT. Throughout simulation, it is shown that the proposed algorithm provides a better performance than the AQT in the number of rule comparisons with each input packet.

  • The purpose of this study is to apply a deep learning model that can distinguish lung perfusion and lung ventilation images in nuclear medicine, and to evaluate the image classification ability. Image data pre-processing was performed in the following order: image matrix size adjustment, min-max normalization, image center position adjustment, train/validation/test data set classification, and data augmentation. The convolutional neural network(CNN) structures of VGG-16, ResNet-18, Inception-ResNet-v2, and SE-ResNeXt-101 were used. For classification model evaluation, performance evaluation index of classification model, class activation map(CAM), and statistical image evaluation method were applied. As for the performance evaluation index of the classification model, SE-ResNeXt-101 and Inception-ResNet-v2 showed the highest performance with the same results. As a result of CAM, cardiac and right lung regions were highly activated in lung perfusion, and upper lung and neck regions were highly activated in lung ventilation. Statistical image evaluation showed a meaningful difference between SE-ResNeXt-101 and Inception-ResNet-v2. As a result of the study, the applicability of the CNN model for lung scintigraphy classification was confirmed. In the future, it is expected that it will be used as basic data for research on new artificial intelligence models and will help stable image management in clinical practice.

  • This study attempted to propose a faceted search function to supplement metadata for existing presidential gifts. To this end, based on 3,574 presidential gifts provided online by the Presidential Archives, identified the characteristics of records extracted from the gift name, gift giver, gift country, gift date, and receipt process, specifications, and characteristics of the presidential gift. Based on this, study designed a facet-based classification of presidential gifts with 5 basic facets and 51 sub-facets and structured facets define each facet element and assign an arrangement order and symbol. This classification system can be expected to be utilized as a basis for building faceted navigation by applying it to a search system. Through the study, it was confirmed that it was necessary to develop a new classification system for presidential gifts, and it was proposed to apply facet classification as an alternative classification system for this purpose.

  • The world of business is being profoundly transformed by the Internet and electronic commerce. E-commerce is driven by Internet and e-commerce technology. That is, the new e-commerce is commonly associated with highly developed technical elements, ranging from web , graphic design. payment systems and network infrastructure. Thus, it is necessary to decide which technologies are important and how they are related to each other. To anticipate the future of each information communication technology and electronic commerce accurately , we have attempted to develop a classification model of electronic commerce technology. A classification model for EC technologies consists of three categories: basic technology, base technology, and application technology. This model can play a role as a guideline in classifying EC technologies into three hierarchical category and in comparing the relative relationships of each electronic commerce technology. It will also provide an impetus for the study of electronic commerce technologies and for the shaping process of electronic commerce generally.
