Baseline data on the type, species and volume for dead trees were collected from old growth fir (Abies holophylla) forest in Sorak National Park. Though the survey was restricted to fly forest, a basic data compatible to those in other countries were collected. Besides fir, dead trees were also found in deciduous species. All the Known dead tree types were found. Average volume of dead tree in the surveyed area was 00.42 $\textrm{m}^2 \; ha^{-1}$. There seems no correlation existing between the distributions of dead tree and coarse woody debris (CWD).

In order for handicapped people to maintain better humane life, it is necessary to get statistics of them in developing appropriate national policy. However, it is very difficult to obtain baseline statistics on regular or occasional basis. It's reason is mainly attributed to attitudes of their family's tendency to conceal any existence of such memeber in the household. As a result, the statis-tics on the handicapped population is very inaccurate and under satisfaction. We must produce such statistics periodically in time and with accuracy. Thus, this study porposes five methods which, we believe, can produce reliable statistics of thehandcapped population : 1) vitalization through enforcement of handicapped information into the registration system, 2) inclusion in population census of items related to handicapped information, 3) improvement of the physically handicapped population survey scheme, 4) utilization of hospital patients' records for development of the statistics, and 5) an estimation through the labor force survey.

This study presents the results of basic sighting surveys conducted for dolphin watching from 2004 to 2006 in the northeastern waters of Jeju. The sighting probability of dolphins (bottlenose dolphin, Tursiops truncatus) was 71.9% (82 sightings out of 114 surveys). The dolphin's attractive behaviors observed included leaping, tail or peduncle slapping and surfing. The findings of this study provide useful baseline data for dolphin watching in the northeastern waters of Jeju.

Objective: This research focuses on the working environment of office workers and aims to propose an ideal seating posture and chair design. Background: Generally, office workers having to seat in a fixed posture for long periods of time tend to suffer from an increased rate of musculoskeletal disorders. Method: The measurement and survey of 123 office workers on their working conditions and literature survey will lead to a suggestion of an ideal seating posture and workstation design theory. Results: Work environment satisfaction appeared low for chair and desks. Work-related pain over the last year was experienced among 47.2% of the respondents in shoulder (34.2%), neck (30.9%). Observation of working posture revealed that only 27.6% of workers utilize backrest during work. Conclusion: Office work embodies many situations where risks of musculoskeletal disorders may be high. Thus, the seated workplace must be set up to allow proper seating posture for workers. Application: The results of this study can be applied as baseline data for preventing musculoskeletal disorders of office workers.

Amphibian and Reptilian fauna in Chuwangsan National Park was carried out both Apr. 28, 1994 - Apr. 30, 1994 and Aug. 4, 1994-Aug. 5, 1994. 7 species in 5 Families in Amphibia and 7 species in 3 Families in Reptilia were observed in this survey. Rana dyhowskii in Amphibia and Rhabdophis tigrinus tigrinus in Reptilia were revealed dominant species in Chuwangsan National Park. The results in this survey would be use to baseline data significantly after the project of construction works in Chuwangsan National Park.

Background: The Global Adult Tobacco Survey (GATS) was carried out for systematically monitoring tobacco use and for tracking key tobacco control indicators. Materials and Methods: A total of 70,802 households, including 42,647 in rural areas and 28,155 in urban areas, were covered with a three stage sampling design. Data were collected on sociodemographic characteristics, knowledge, attitude and practices of tobacco consumption.Results: GATS-India highlighted that total tobacco use among its residents is overall 34.6%, varying for males (47.9%) and females (20.7%). The rural areas of the country exhibit comparatively higher prevalence rates (38.4%) in comparison to urban areas (25.3%). Overall, Khaini, a smokeless tobacco product (12.0%), is the most popular form of tobacco use among males and females, followed by bidi smoking (9.0%). Conclusion: Results of GATS data can be used as baseline for evaluation of new tobacco control approaches in India integrating culturally acceptable and cost effective measures.

Modern management considers customer satisfaction as a baseline standard of performance and a possible standard of excellence for any business organization including the college. Quality function deployment(QFD) is a structured approach to seek out voice of customers, understanding their needs, and ensure that their needs are met. The strategy value proposed by Chien et al. combines importance, satisfaction, performance, and ability to enhance decision making effectiveness. But in their model, the correlation among the strategic alternatives isn't considered the decision chain and is therefore eliminated. This paper proposes how to calculate the new weight of columns to consider various strength levels of correlations matrix, representing the correlation among the strategic alternatives, using normalization procedure. The aim of this paper is to present and original customer satisfaction survey conducted in the college. Thus, this paper presents an original customer satisfaction survey in the college and provides to demonstrate the practical usage of the design model to compare this model with Chien's model.

The need for precise location data is growing across numerous markets, and so is the number of affordable high-precision GPS receivers. In this paper, we validated the performance of RTAP2U, a low-cost high-precision RTK receiver that was recently released. Two positioning modes were tested: static and driving. The static test conducted Zero-Baseline Single-RTK and Network-RTK survey for 57 hours and 51 hours, respectively. For the driving test, Network-RTK survey was conducted using VRS services provided by NGII based on Trimble PIVOT and Geo++ GNSMART. The static test showed about 1 cm horizontal and vertical accuracies, which is very stable considering the test duration longer than 50 hours. The integer ambiguity FIX rate marked a solid 100%. The driving test result also reached a 100% FIX rate. Horizontal and vertical accuracies were better than 2 cm and 3 cm, respectively. Researchers can refer to this paper when considering affordable high-precision GPS receivers as an option.

Today the design is recognized as indispensible part in business activities and it is demanded as one of the management strategies. since the ultimate goal of a hotel lines in the pursuit of profit, it is important that the design of a hotel faithfuly reflects the demands of management at the time of its construction planning. Furthermore, hotel planning undergoes a complicated design phases on a large scale, thus, utilization of a design process that accomodates retional approaches scientific and structural design activities, which will further reduce errors in design steps and pave a way for effective attainment of the target. Especially the management and designers review and confirm the design in relation to the strategic manegiable objective sat the early basic stage. The baseline set here will serve as a direction for the detailed design. In this context, this thesis formulates a reference baseline in dividing the space in view of the overall profitability and is based upon a survey conducted on the correlation between the operation of food and beverage section and the space. First, downtown hotels now take on the role of a public facility to a great extent and the number of Koreans who visit the autxiliary facilities of hotel increases. Second, recently revenue from a food and beverage section is in downtown and the trend is especially obrious at western restaurant, buffet and bar. This necessitates the reevaluation of the business space allocation. Third, sales promotion plan includes diversification, dessection and scaling down of the food and beverage section areas, Fourth, a proper number of seats must be determined in regard to the average area of one seat shown in the survey. Fifth, dense seat arrangement would entail a curtailment rather than a hike in revenue. Sixth, the installation of private dining room is on the rise and in particular, in Japanese and Chinese restaurants. Seventh, business space with declined revenue tends to induce the integration of similar businesses.
