감시 정찰 카메라부를 포함한 짐발 구조 시스템의 진동 특성 해석 (Vibration Characteristic Analysis of Gimbal Structure System with Observation Reconnaissance Camera Module)

  • 감시 정찰용 짐발 구조 시스템은 베어링들과 다른 기계 요소들로 구성된 복잡한 기계 장치이다. 이 시스템은 크게 카메라부와 카메라부를 지지하는 안정화 짐발로 나눌 수 있다. 영상 정보 취득을 위한 비행 중 짐발 구조 시스템은 정찰기로부터 전달되는 광범위한 진동수를 갖는 심각한 가진을 받게 된다. 비록 정찰기로부터 전달되는 안정화 짐발의 기초 가진이 카메라부의 진동을 유발할지라도 카메라부는 정확하고 선명한 영상을 기록하여야만 한다. 그러므로 카메라부를 포함한 전체 짐발 구조시스템의 고유진동수와 고유진동 모드를 분석하는 것이 중요하다. 이에 본 연구에서는 베어링들의 효과를 고려한 시스템의 진동 특성 해석을 유한요소법에 의해 수행하였다. 뿐만 아니라, 0 Hz ~ 500 Hz 의 진동수 영역에서 조화응답해석을 통해 카메라부의 가속도 전달률을 계산하였다.

Wind resistance performance of a continuous welding stainless steel roof under static ultimate wind loading with testing and simulation methods

  • Ultrapure ferritic stainless steel provides a new generation of long-span metal roof systems with continuous welding technology, which exhibits many unknown behaviors during wind excitation. This study focuses on the wind-resistant capacity of a new continuous welding stainless steel roof (CWSSR) system. Full-scale testing on the welding joints and the CWSSR system is performed under uniaxial tension and static ultimate wind uplift loadings, respectively. A finite element model is developed with mesh refinement optimization and is further validated with the testing results, which provides a reliable way of investigating the parameter effect on the wind-induced structural responses, namely, the width and thickness of the roof sheeting and welding height. Research results show that the CWSSR system has predominant wind-resistant performance and can bear an ultimate wind uplift loading of 10.4 kPa without observable failures. The welding joints achieve equivalent mechanical behaviors as those of base material is produced with the current of 65 A. Independent structural responses can be found for the roof sheeting of the CWSSR system, and the maximum displacement appears at the middle of the roof sheeting, while the maximum stress appears at the connection supports between the roof sheeting with a significant stress concentration effect. The responses of the CWSSR system are greatly influenced by the width and thickness of the roof sheeting but are less influenced by the welding height.

Seismic pounding between adjacent buildings considering soil-structure interaction

  • In urban cities, buildings were built in the neighborhood, these buildings influence each other through structure-soilstructure interaction (SSSI) and seismic pounding due to limited separation distance in-between. Generally, the effects of the interaction between soil and structure are disregarded during seismic design and analysis of superstructure. However, the system of soil-base adversely changes structural behavior and response demands. Thus, the vibration characteristics plus the seismic response of a building are not able to be independent of those in adjacent buildings. The interaction between structure, soil, and structure investigates the action of the attendance of adjacent buildings to the others by the interaction effect of the sub-soil under dynamic disturbances. The main purpose of this research is to analyze the effects of SSSI and seismic pounding on the behavior of adjacent buildings. The response of a single structure or two adjacent structures with shallow raft base lying on soft soil are studied. Three dimensions finite element models are developed to investigate the effects of pounding; gap distance; conditions of soil; stories number; a mass of adjacent building and ground excitation frequency on the seismic responses and vibration characteristics of the structures. The variation in the story displacement, story shear, and story moment responses demands are studied to evaluate the presence effect of the adjacent buildings. Numerical results acquired using conditions of soil models are compared with the condition of fixed support and adjacent building models to a single building model. The peak responses of story displacement, story moment, and story shear are studied.

Design aspects for minimizing the rotational behavior of setbacks buildings

  • An approximate analysis is presented for multi-story setback buildings subjected to ground motions. Setback buildings with mass and stiffness discontinuities are common in modern architecture and quite often they are asymmetric in plan. The proposed analysis provides basic dynamic data (frequencies and peak values of base resultant forces) and furthermore an overview of the building response during a ground excitation. The method is based on the concept of the equivalent single story system, which has been introduced by the author in earlier papers for assessing the response of uniform in height buildings. As basic quantities of the dynamic response of elastic setback buildings can be derived by analyzing simple systems, a structural layout of minimum elastic rotational response can be easily constructed. The behavior of such structural configurations, which is basically translational into the elastic phase, is also examined into the post elastic phase when the strength assignment of the various bents is based on a planar static analysis under a set of lateral forces simulating an equivalent 'seismic loading'. It is demonstrated that the almost concurrent yielding of all resisting elements preserves the translational response, attained at the end of the elastic phase, to the post elastic one.

Management of the energy harvesting for MEMS/NEMS via newmark current method

  • The free and forced vibration in addition to electric energy harvesting of a piezoelectric disk resting on two-parameter foundation modeled by modified couple stress as well as Kirchhoff plate theory is probed. The governing equations and boundary conditions are obtained using Hamilton's principle. Then, the free and forced vibration are solved using numerical solutions, generalized differential quadrature method (GDQM) and Newmark-beta method. The forced vibration is resulted from a base excitation load. Also, the possible voltage which can be harvested from this system is obtained using generalized integral quadrature method. The validity of the formulation and solution procedure is confirmed using a compassion study. The impact of parameters such as length effect, inner to outer radius ratio, and foundations parameters on the free and forced vibration as well as energy harvesting is investigated in detail. This paper can be a basis for future studies in the area of piezoelectric harvesters in small scales.

해양유출유의 형광지문에 의한 식별연구 (Identification of Spilled Oils in the Marine Environment by Fluorescence Fingerprints and Library Search System)

  • 해양에 유출되는 유류오염의 정확하고 신속한 식별을 기하기 위하여 국내에 반입 되는 33종의 원유와 기타 6종 등 총 39종 유류의 형광특성을 연구하였다. 연구결과 각 유류는 내포되어 있는 방향족 화합물의 특성에 따라 독특한 유류지문도를 보였다. 이 들에 대한 다변량 통계분석의 결과 대체로 2개의 유류군으로 대분되었다. 이들 유류가 해양에 유출된 뒤 10일이 경과되어도 물리화학적 풍화작용과 미생물에 의한 분해작용 에도 불구하고 본 연구의 기법으로 오염 유류원을 식별할 수 있었다. 이에 반하여 GC 에 의한 조사에서는 6일 경과된 풍화유출유의 경우 탄소수가 12 이하인 화합물의 상당 부분이 소실되어 나타나 유류식별이 어려웠다. 따라서 본 연구로 해양에 유출된 유류 의 정확하고 신속한 유류원 판별 식법으로 형광지문이 검증되었으며 풍화과정이 형광 지문특성에 미치는 영향과 형광특성 측정을 이용한 응용방법이 논의되었다.

조선 후기 왕릉 정자각 관리에 대한 문헌적 고찰 -『각릉수리등록(各陵修理謄錄, 1675-1713년)』의 정자각 훼손기록을 중심으로- (A Literary Study on the Management of the JeongJaGak(丁字閣, T shaped building) of the Joseon Royal Tombs in the Late Joseon Dynasty - Focusing on the JeongJaGak damage record of Gakneung Suri Deungnok(Records relating to the repair of royal tombs, 1675-1713) -)

  • A literature study was conducted on the management of the pavilion of the royal tomb in the late Joseon Dynasty, focusing on "Gakneung Suri Deungnok(Records relating to the repair of royal tombs)". This study analyzed the royal tomb management system, organized the types of damage identified in the building, and examined how the damage status was recorded by type. In the above, the records related to the 1675~1713 repair of three JeongJaGak(Geonwonneung, Sungneung, and Mokneung), which are registered as state-designated cultural properties, are summarized in three aspects: management system, damage status, and expression words. The results of the study are as follows. First, the royal tomb pavilion was regularly inspected by Observator(觀察使) in spring and autumn, and Surunggwan(守陵官) every 5th, and Servant(守僕) regularly inspected every day and night, and also inspected and reported emergency cases of natural disasters or unexpected damage. Second, the damage status of each building was continuously observed and reported for the continuous maintenance of the buildings in the royal tomb. A total of 75 records of damage to the three royal tombs' pavilion were found to have been most frequently inspected, including 19 cases (25.3%), 14 cases (18.7%), 23 cases (30.7%) of the roof, and 19 cases (25.3%) of the roof. Third, the expression of the damage status is confirmed in various ways, such as separation, separation, burst, damage, excitation, moisture, leakage, and exfoliation. Among them, the main damage records were confirmed due to the separation of the base from the peeling, the furniture, cracks, leaks, leaks in the roof, and the collapse of the roof was able to check the damage records.

건축구조물의 지진해석에서 좌표축의 설정에 따른 보정계수 산정법 (Scale-Up Factor for Seismic Analysis of Building Structure for Various Coordinate Systems)

  • 실무에서 지진해석법으로 널리 쓰이는 방법은 등가정적해석법과 응답스펙트럼해석법이다. 이 중 등가정적해석법에 의한 밑면전단력은 구조물의 주축을 해석좌표축에 어떻게 배치하는가와 상관없이 일관된 값을 나타낸다. 그러나 응답스펙트럼해석은 해석좌표 축에 구조물의 주축을 다르게 배치하여 해석을 수행하면 밑면전단력이 각기 다르게 발생한다. 이는 엔지니어가 구조물을 설계함에 있어 구조물의 주축을 해석좌표축에 어떻게 설정했는지에 따라 설계부재력이 모두 달라질 수 있음을 뜻한다. 또한 응답스펙트럼해석은 지진을 가한 방향의 직각방향에서 적지 않은 응답이 발생하는 경우가 생긴다. 한방향 해석에 대한 X와 Y축을 따라 분리되는 이러한 양방향 응답은 보정계수 산정시 쓰이는 밑면전단력을 작게 만들며 이는 결과적으로 보정계수를 크게하여 과다설계의 우려가 생긴다. 내진설계시 발생하는 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 수평의 강성 차이에 따라 구조물을 크게 세 가지(양방향 대칭 구조물, 한방향 비대칭구조물, 양방향 비대칭구조물)로 분류하여 각각의 경우에 대하여 간단한 모델을 선정하고 구조물의 주축을 회전시켜가면서 지진해석을 수행하였다. 각 경우의 예제구조물이 가지는 동적특성과 설계부재력을 살펴보았다. 현재 실무에서 적용되는 보정계수 산정법에 의한 설계부재력과 앞선 문제들을 해결하고자 본 논문에서 제안하는 새로운 보정계수 산정법에 의한 설계부재력을 비교하여 제안하는 보정계수 산정법의 효율성을 검토하였다. 그 결과로 새로 제안된 보정계수 산정법에 의하여 설계부재력을 산정하는 것이 내진설계시 엔지니어들이 겪을 수 있는 혼란을 덜어주며 경제적인 부재설계가 가능함을 알 수 있었다.

Control strategy of the lever-type active multiple tuned mass dampers for structures

  • The lever-type active multiple tuned mass dampers (LT-AMTMD), consisting of several lever-type active tuned mass dampers (LT-ATMD), is proposed in this paper to attenuate the vibrations of long-span bridges under the excitation directly acting on the structure, rather than through the base. With resorting to the derived analytical-expressions for the dynamic magnification factors of the LT-AMTMD structure system, the performance assessment then is conducted on the LT-AMTMD with the identical stiffness and damping coefficient but unequal mass. Numerical results indicate that the LT-AMTMD with the actuator set at the mass block can provide better effectiveness in reducing the vibrations of long-span bridges compared to the LT-AMTMD with the actuator set at other locations. An appealing feature of the LT-AMTMD with the actuator set at the mass block is that the static stretching of the spring may be freely adjusted in accordance with the practical requirements through changing the location of the support within the viable range while maintaining the same performance (including the same stroke displacement). Likewise, it is shown that the LT-AMTMD with the actuator set at the mass block can further ameliorate the performance of the lever-type multiple tuned mass dampers (LT-MTMD) and has higher effectiveness than a single lever-type active tuned mass damper (LT-ATMD). Therefore, the LT-AMTMD with the actuator set at the mass block may be a better means of suppressing the vibrations of long-span bridges with the consequence of not requiring the large static stretching of the spring and possessing a desirable robustness.

압전 하이브리드 마운트의 진동제어 성능에 대한 실험적 고찰 (Experimental Investigation on Vibration Control Performances of the Piezoelectric Hybrid Mount)

  • 본 연구에서는 자동차 엔진에 적용되는 고무마운트의 성능을 극대화하여 시동초기 진동특성를 개선하기 위해 능동형 하이브리드 마운트를 제안하고 진동절연 성능을 실험적으로 고찰하고자 한다. 제안된 하이브리드 마운트는 수동형 고무요소와 능동형 압전작동기로 구성되었으며, 동적 특성과 제어력의 실험적 고찰을 통해 하이브리드 마운트가 제작되었다. 수직방향의 진동을 고려하여 관성질량을 갖는 압전-고무 하이브리드 마운트의 동적 지배방정식을 수학적으로 모델링하였으며 상태 공간 방정식으로 표현하였다. 본 연구에서는 진동을 절연하기 위해 강건한 슬라이딩 모드 제어기가 구성되어 진동제어 실험에 적용되었다. 마지막으로 넓은 주파수 영역에서 진동제어 성능을 실험적으로 고찰하였으며 주파수 영역에서의 전달율과 시간영역에서 진동절연 성능을 평가하였다.
