The objective of this finite element method study was to analyze the stress distribution induced in a maxillary central incisor Ni-Cr base metal coping ceramic crowns with various margin design. Margin designs of crown in this experiment were knife-edge metal margin on chamfer finishing line of tooth preparation(M1), butt metal margin on shoulder finishing line(M2), reinforced butt metal margin on shoulder finishing line(M3), beveled metal margin on bevelde shoulder finishing line(M4). Two- dimensional finite element models of crown designs were subjected to a simulated biting force of 100N which was forced over porcelain near the lingual incisal edge. Base on plane stress analysis, the maxium von Miss stresses(Mpa) in porcelain venner was 0.432, in metal coping was 0.579, in dentin abutment was 0.324 for M1 model, and M2 model revealed in porcelain was 0.556, in metal coping was 0.511, in dentin was 0.339, and M3 model revealed in porcelain was 0.556, in metal coping was 0.794, in dentin was 0.383 for M4 model. All values of each material in metal-ceramic crown were much below the critical failure values.

The telecommunication technology in the 21st century has come up to the standard which could transmit various spatial information by means of on-line and the printing technology using computers has been on a par with presswork in quality. In addition, map users also would like to get various spatial information through on-line directly or indirectly. None the less, the supply system of national base map in our country has maintained the off-line sales method. It is owing to this reason that the nation's supply system has shown a high degree of inefficiency from the viewpoint of the inventory control, rapidity, and economical efficiency as compared with the on-line sales system in the developed countries. This study tried to analyze some problems of the present supply system in order to build up the foundation of the efficient map supply system and also developed the system such as On-demand maps, on-line paying and sales, inventory control, meta dat establishment, and security module, etc. This study tried to analyze some problems of the present supply system in order to build up the foundation of the efficient map supply system and also developed the system such as On-demand maps, on-line paying and sales, inventory control, meta dat establishment, and security module, etc.

For the Tailor Welded Blank sheet used fur automobile body panel, the characteristics of fatigue crack propagation behavior were studied. The thickness of specimen was machined to be same (0.9+0.9mm) and different (0.9+2.0mm). As a base test, mechanical properties around welding zone were examined. The results indicated that there were no significant decreases in mechanical properties, but hardness around welding bead is 2.3 times greater than base material. The crack propagation rate was noticeably decreased around welding line and rapidly increased as it passed by welding line. Reviewing the shape of the crack propagation, crack width around welding line was wide around the welding zone due to retardation of crack growth, but it became narrow passing welding line due to decreased toughness. Elasto-Plastic analysis was performed by finite element analysis fur explaining the test results.
By using vacuum in-line driving and photoluminescence measuring system, we have examined the electrical and optical characteristics of plasma display panel produced by vacuum in-line sealing technology. In addition, the relationship between luminous efficiency and base vacuum level before filling discharge gas was analyzed. In the case of base vacuum level of $1.33{\times}10^{-1}$ Pa, the firing voltage of a 2-inch diagonal PDP panel was ranged from 312 to 343 V depending on the discharge gas pressure of $2.667{\times}10^4$ to $4{\times}10^4$ Pa at room temperature, Whereas in the case of $1.33{\times}10^{-4}$ Pa, the firing voltage was reduced by 40 V and luminescence was improved slightly.
This study was performed to define the adaptation patterns of each skeletal components to the flexures of cranial bases, using 91 males from the ages of 17 to 36 and 64 females from the ages of 16 to 34, without orthodontic or prosthetic treatment experiences and with pleasant profiles as subjects. The conclusions are as follow: 1. When considering the changes of flexure of cranial base (Ba-SE-FMN) in both sexes, changes in the anterior cranial base angle to the PM Vertical line (SE-FMN/PMV) were greater than the changes in the posterior cranial base angle to the PM Vertical line (Ba-SE/PMV). Subsequently the nasomaxillary complex showed antero-superior rotating effect as the cranial base angles were increased and postero-inferior rotating effect as they were decreased. 2. Horizontal mandibular angle (Ba-SE-Me) was increased in both sexes as cranial base angle increases (Ba-SE-FMN) and it decreased as the latter was decreases. There by indicating compensatory effects. 3. Maxillary angle (SE-FMN-A) was decreased in both sexes as cranial base angle (Ba-SE-FMN) increases and it increased as the latter was decreased. There by indicating compensatory effects. 4. Mandibular ramus angle to posterior cranial base was decreased in both sexes as cranial base angle increases. There by indicating compensatory effect to anteriorly displaced maxilla and the mandibular ramus angle was increased as the cranial base angle decreases. There by indicating compensatory effect to posteriorly displace maxilla. 5. The length of posterior upper facial height was decreased in both sexes as the cranial base angle increases and it increased as the latter was decreased.

The digital map database is often produced for multiple purposes, including mapping at multiple scales; it is increasingly rare that a base map is digitized for mapping at a single scale. The most important problems in process of line simplification in map generalization and multiple representation is that tolerance value selected for simplifying base map information must be modified as feature geometry varies within the digital file to ensure both accuracy and recognizability of graphic details on a generalized map. In this study, we explored various algorithms regarding to line simplication at many scales from a single digital file, and presents a rule by which to determine those scale at which line feature geometry might be expected to change in map representation. By applying two measured of displacement between a digitized line and its simplification, five algorithms have been evaluated. The results indicate that, of the five, the Douglas-Peucker routine produced less displacement between a line and its simplification. The research has proved to automating map simplification, incorporating numeric guidelines into digital environment about what magnitude and variation in geometric detail should be preserved as the digital data is simplified for representation at reduced map scales.
In this study, the effect of laser source($CO_2$ and Nd:YAG) on the microstructure and tensile properties of laser welded Al-Si coated boron steel(1.2mmt) was investigated with before and after hot-stamping. In case of as welds condition, fracture occurred in base metal unrelated to the laser source. It could be explained that tensile strength of fusion zone composed of martensite and bainite is higher than that of base metal that contains a lot of ferrite despite dilution of Al and Si from coating layer to fusion zone. In case of hot-stamping condition, the fracture occurred in fusion zone irrelevant to laser source and the tensile strength was lower than hot stamped base metal. In the $CO_2$ laser welds, $Fe_3$(Al,Si) formed near the bond line was transformed into ferrite during hot-stamping. Therefore tensile strength of bond line is lower than that of base metal and center of fusion zone and the fracture occurred in the bond line. On the other hand, in the Nd:YAG laser welds, the higher concentration of Al formed the ferrite in the fusion zone during hot-stamping treatment. Also, the thickness of centerline was thinner than that of base metal. Therefore, it is considered that fracture occurred in centerline of fusion zone due to effect of concentration stress, and it leaded to a lower tensile strength and elongation.
Characteristics of the lifted flame which is generated by issuing of the fuel through the miniature nozzle, d=0.164 mm, are studied using the planar laser induced fluorescence technique. OH radical is excited on the $Q_1$(8) line of the $A^2{\Sigma}\ ^+{\leftarrow}\ X^2{\prod}$ (1,0) band transition(283.55 nm) and LIF signals are captured at the bands of (0,0) and (1,1) transition(306-326 nm) using the filters and ICCD camera. Hydroxyl radical(OH) profile for nozzle attached flame shows that OH radical populations at the flame sides and flame tip are larger than those at the base. But for the lifted flame (tribrachial flame) case, those are larger at the flame base than at the flame tip and flame sides. The OH radical is more dense near the center line of flame base at the blowing out. This fact proves the Chung and Lee's blowout theory - blowout occurs when the flame is anchored at the flame axis.
In this paper. a way to analysis a corridor scene for a vehicle's automatic locomotion is presented In general, it's necessary for a vision system of vehicles to identify its positions in given environments. The suggested algorithm is to decide base lines of a corridor image using the vanishing point finding. Feature points are extracted on the base line using a base line extraction tree. This algorithm is suitable for a motorized wheelchair's self locomotion in a building.
