  • 본 논문에서는 블록 다중 텍스쳐 영상으로부터 바코드 영역을 추출하기 위한 한 방법을 제안한다. 일반적으로 택배 등의 물류 처리에서 사용되는 바코드는 직선 형태의 바로 구성되며, 물체의 윗면에 붙여진 바코드의 방향에 따라 바의 방향은 수직, 수평, 대각선의 방향으로 나타난다. 따라서, 제안된 방법에서는 다양한 텍스쳐의 특징 벡터를 사용하여 바코드의 특징을 검출한다. 또한 처리 시간의 단축을 위하여 영상을 일정한 블록으로 분할한 후에 국부 특징 마스크를 사용하여 텍스쳐 특징 벡터를 산출하고, 우편물 영상에서 각각의 특징에 따른 분류를 통해 바코드 영역을 결정한다.

Development of a Visual Servo System in a Mobile Manipulator for Operating Numeral Buttons (이동형 머니퓰레이터의 숫자버튼 조작을 위한 시각제어 시스템 개발)

  • A service robot is expected to be useful in indoor environment such as a hotel, a hospital and so on. However, many service robots are driven by wheels so that they cannot climb stairs to move to other floors. If the robot cannot use elevators. In this paper, the mobile manipulator system was developed, which can operate numeral buttons on the operating panel in the elevator. To perform this task, the robot is composed of an image recognition module, an ultrasonic sensor module and a manipulator. The robot can recognize numeral buttons and an end-effector in manipulator by the vision system. The Learning vector quantization (LVQ) algorithm is used to recognize the number on the button. The barcode mark on the end-effector is used to recognize the end-effector. The manipulator can push numeral buttons using informations captured by the vision system. The proposed method is evaluated by experiments.

  • 반도체 공정에서 Track In/Out 판단을 위해서 바코드와 RFID(Radio-Frequency IDentification)가 주로 사용되고 있다. 현재 알려진 바코드 인식률은 약 80%로써 재고 유실이 여전히 존재하며 정확성과 신뢰성을 담보하지 못하고 있는 현실이다. 이 연구에서는 20% 정도의 인식되지 않은 부분을 보완하기 위해 바코드를 영상 처리하고 그 내부에 있는 문자들을 인식하는 프로그램을 개발한다. 해당 공정에서 바코드가 제대로 인식이 안 된 경우에는 인식된 문자들을 참고함으로써 공정의 전체 과정을 파악하고 트랙킹할 수 있다. 바코드의 문자 인식을 생산 공정에 맞추어 실시간에 수향하여 필요시 활용함으로써 공정의 정확성과 생산성을 향상에 기여하고자 한다.

An Effective Detection of Print Image Forgeries Based on Modeling of Color Matrix : An Application to QR Code (컬러 매트릭스 모델링에 의한 영상 인쇄물 위변조 검출 기법 : QR코드에의 적용)

  • 2-dimensional barcode, QR code has been used for containing various information such as image, video, map, and business cards. Currently, a smartphone is used as a QR code scanner, displaying the code and converting it to a standard URL for a website. However, QR codes are not very common in encrypted application and so have a few applications. This paper proposes a new color-code, which integrates the conventional QR code and color design, and can be effectively used in some product certification system. The proposed method exploits the fact that genuine code is produced by CMYK color model, but the counterfeit is captured by RGB color model and during this process, color information of the code is changed. This paper introduces the color matrix model to measure the distortion between genuine code and counterfeit code. By investigating the statistical characteristics of color matrix, an effective detection of print image forgeries are designed. Various experiments with color codes show that the proposed system can be effectively used in product certification systems.

  • In this paper, we propose a new digital watermarking technique. The main idea of the proposed algorithm relies on the assumption that any real number can be expressed as a summation of the exponential form with base of 2 and if only consider the first few summations some numbers can be expressed in the same form. Therefore, we can be sure that some amount of changes does not affect the first few summations. The algorithm decomposes a host image in wavelet domain and intensity of the significant wavelet coefficient is expressed in exponential form with base of 2. Multiple barcode watermarks are then embedded by modifying the parity of the exponent. The proposed scheme is semi-blind and also offers either objective or subjective deteew su as well. From extracted watermarks, more accurate watermark is obtained by merging technique as a final watermark. As a simulation result, the proposed algorithm could resist most cases of salt and pepper noise, Gaussian noise and JPEG compression.

  • According to development of Internet and computer graphics technology, Digital fashion technology makes virtual fitting service capable by reappearing of clothes in 3D. In this paper, We suggest that combined solution which you could use virtual fitting service with various device. For example, imaginary mirror(such as digital information display), pc, mobile in different situations such as store, internet shopping market, commercial. Users can experience imaginary mirror that is located in store or 3D virtual fitting service for digital fashion in internet shopping market, mobile application. In addition, We proposed the solution that user can send experienced virtual fitting service results to other person by image file form of MMS.

  • The spread of smartphones is increasing the proportion of mobile shopping in the online shopping market. Most mobile shopping services are delivered through applications. However, personalization services are very important for user data collection and analysis. Therefore, in this paper, we implemented the product barcode recognition function and machine learning-based product image recognition function using smartphones camera to collect user data in mobile shopping environment. The implemented function and push notification services enabled the collection and analysis of user data and personalization services for online shopping platform applications.

  • In this paper, we propose Simple Frame Marker(SFMarker) to support recognition of characters and images included in a marker in augmented reality. If characters are inserted inside of marker and are recognised using Optical Character Recognition(OCR), it doesn't need marker learning process before an execution. It also reduces visual disturbance compared to 2D barcode marker due to familarity of characters. Therefore, proposed SFMarker distinguishes Square SFMarker that embeds images from Rectangle SFMarker with characters according to ratio of marker and applies different recognition algorithms. Also, in order to reduce preprocessing of character recognition, SFMarker inserts direction information in border of marker and extracts it to execute character recognition fast and correctly. Finally, since the character recognition for every frame slows down tracking speed, we increase the speed of recognition process using the result of character recognition in previous frame when frame difference is low.

  • Individuals with visual impairments face difficulties in accessing accurate information about medical services and medications, making it challenging for them to ensure proper medication intake. While there are healthcare laws addressing this issue, there is a lack of standardized solutions, and not all over-the-counter medications are covered. Therefore, we have undertaken the design of a mobile application that utilizes image recognition technology, barcode scanning, and QR code recognition to provide guidance on how to take over-the-counter medications, filling the existing gaps in the knowledge of visually impaired individuals. Currently available applications for individuals with visual impairments allow them to access information about medications. However, they still require the user to remember which specific medication they are taking, posing a significant challenge. In this research, we are optimizing the camera capture environment, user interface (UI), and user experience (UX) screens for image recognition, ensuring greater accessibility and convenience for visually impaired individuals. By implementing the findings from our research into the application, we aim to assist visually impaired individuals in acquiring the correct methods for taking over-the-counter medications.

  • This paper proposes a new forging work-in-process control system that guarantees independency of a specific device and provides cost-effectiveness. Until now, much research has been studied on improving the process productivity through efficient work-in-process or inventory controls. Especially, incorporating various IT technologies such as barcode, RFID, and image recognition has been done. However, those approaches cause many problems due to the characteristics of the forging work-in-process control environment. To overcome the limitations of the existing approaches, this paper proposes a novel forging work-in-process control system. The proposed system in this paper identifies and precisely manages positions of objects by using GPS information of smart mobile devices. Therefore, identification tags as well as specific devices for reading the tags do not been required. It resolves the problems of the previous approaches and enhances the productivity of the overall forging work-in-process control process.
