담양지방(潭陽地方) 왕대속(屬) 4종(種)의 조직(組織) 및 간내(稈內) 변이성(變異性) (Characteristics of Culm Anatomy and Dimensional Variation in Genus Phyllostachys Grown Damyang District, Korea)

  • This study was carried out to investigate the anatomical characteristics, the radial and axial variation of the cell dimension and bulk density for four bamboo species used as the major material of bamboo products in Korea; Phyllostachys(P.bambusoides, P.edulis, P.nigra var.henonis, and Pnigra). The results obtained were summarized as follows; 1) In the outer part of culm, the mophological difference of cell diameter and distribution were not acknowledged. However, gum-like substance was occurred In the epidermis, hypodermis, cortex and metaxylem vessel of P.nigra, while it was occured only in the metaxylem vessel of P.edulis. 2) The protoxylem vessel in the central zone of culm-wall could be in the two types; the first type consisted of 4-5 small cell pieces occurred in P.edulis and P.nigra var. henonis, the second type of 1-2 large cell pieces in P.bambusoides and P.nigra. And transition of cell diameter from the vascular bundle sheath to the ground tissue was gradually enlarged in P.nigra and P.edulis but abruptly in P.bambusoides and P.nigra var. henonis. 3) Thin-wall tyloses were well developed in the outer and central zone of culm-wall in four species. 4) Compared with the central part of culm-wall, the number of parenchyma cells and the amount of the vascular bundle sheaths per unit area were a few in the inner part. The inner part nearest to the pith cavity was consisted of thick-well parenchyma cell. 5) The dimensional variations of metaxylem vessel and parenchyma cell in the radial direction were decreased from the inner part to the epidermis in all species observed. 6) The fiber length was the maximum in the central zone and its diameter was increased from the inner part to the outer part. In the axial variation. fiber length was slightly increased from the base and then decresed slowly toward the top, and its diameter was reverse. 7) The axial variation of the bulk density was continuously increased from the base toward the top and its radial variation was rapidly increased from the inner part to the epidermis.

물(Aqua)을 이용한 지속가능한 가구디자인에 대한 연구 (Study on Aqua with Sustainable Furniture Design)

  • Sustainable furniture designs are expressed through reutilization, reuse or redesign of the whole of part of natural materials and existing products. These designs contain natural emotions and show those propensities such as uncertainty, integrity, essentiality and experimental natures. Designs that use natural materials such as wood, bamboo, cork, plants, stones and water have sufficient beauty in themselves and thus these materials are not specially processed but their essence is pursued in those designs. Of those materials, the natural material water is used to pursue the essence of aqua while presenting a new furniture design through an experimental method. The circularity of aqua shares its meaning with the circularity of sustainable designs. In addition, the liquidity of aqua will be grafted onto IT technology to express variable shapes in order to present a new direction of furniture designs.

Development of Lighting Compressed by Injection Yellow Ocher Soil

  • The compressed injection yellow ocher soil is the process-technology by drying the product through sunshine, not by firing like pottery and ceramic ware. It is the technology of development being able to achieve the far infrared ray and humidity adjustment by adding recycling paper, Korean paper and bamboo salt, and it corresponds with the construction enforcement ordinance 2007 as an interior-finishing product which is fire-resistant. In case that the yellow ocher soil would be used as lighting device and interior-finishing material and decoration, it could contribute to an improvement of National Health by avoiding the sick house syndrome and adding humidity adjustment, and it has more efficient economic effect due to using recycle-available additives. Through such developments of the yellow ocher soil products the domestic market of lighting device and construction material can be advanced and the replacement effect of imported goods & also export effect can be expected accordingly.

건축재료의 폼알데하이드 방출 특성 및 탄화보드에 의한 저감 효과 (Formaldehyde Emission of Building Materials and Effect of Carbonized Board on Their Reduction)

  • 본 연구에서는 각종 건축재료의 폼알데하이드 방출 특성 및 탄화보드에 의한 이들의 저감 효과를 알아보기 위하여 챔버법으로 성능을 분석하였다. 그 결과, 약 12일간 소형 챔버 내에서의 폼알데하이드 저감 성능은 탄화보드(90%), 죽탄보드(84%), 규조토판넬(82%), 알로펜타일(78%), 소나무판재(58%), MDF (54%), 석고보드(46%)의 순으로 나타났다. 또한 파티클보드(PB)로 채워진 $1.9m^3$ 크기의 챔버 내 폼알데하이드 방출량을 68일간 조사한 결과, 탄화보드 투입량이 증가함에 따라 폼알데하이드 방출량은 크게 감소하는 것으로 나타났다. 특히 챔버의 크기 및 PB 면적 대비 탄화보드를 각각 약 10% 및 30% 투입하면 폼알데하이드를 약 40% 및 75% 이상 저감시킬 수 있는 것으로 조사되었다.

  • 본 연구는 담양지역에서 대자리용으로 생산되고 있는 왕대, 분죽 및 맹종죽을 대상으로 해부, 물리, 기계적 성질을 조사하기 위해서 수행되었다. 공시 3수종의 해부학적 구조에 있어서 특별한 차이는 없었으며 3수종 모두 망문도관과 전충물질이 관찰되었다. 왕대, 분죽, 맹종죽의 용적밀도는 각각 0.61g/$cm^3$, 0.66g/$cm^3$, 0.58g/$cm^3$로 측정되었으며 수종별 할렬저항은 맹종죽이 가장 크고 분죽이 가장 작게 나타나므로서 할축가공용으로 분죽이 가장 적합하였다.

고추장 재료와 종균 첨가에 따른 고추장의 품질 변화 (Changes in Quality Characteristics of Gochujang Prepared with Different Ingredients and Meju Starters)

  • 고추장 재료(잡곡, 죽염)와 종균을 이용하여 제조된 고추장은 일반적인 고추장에 비해 수분 함량, pH, 산도, 색도는 특별한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 모든 고추장 시료는 발효기간이 지남에 따라 수분 함량은 증가하고 pH는 감소하였으며, 산도, 아미노태 질소는 증가하였다. 잡곡과 죽염, 유산균이 들어간 혼합균주 스타터 고추장(MG-BS-ABL)은 6주간 발효되었을 때 아미노태 질소, 유리아미노산의 양이 다른 고추장에 비해 유의적으로 많은 것으로 나타났다(P<0.05). 또한, 관능평가에서 외관, 향기, 맛, 전반적인 기호도가 모두 다른 고추장에 비해 높은 점수를 나타내었다. 이상의 결과로 MG-BS-ABL군은 일반적인 고추장과 유사한 고추장의 품질 특성을 나타내었으며, 아미노태 질소, 유리아미노산의 함량이 높아 관능평가에서도 높은 점수를 얻은 것으로 생각된다. 이 결과는 아마도 기장에 함유된 높은 단백질의 함유량과 죽염의 미네랄 조성, Aspergillus oryzae, Bacillus subtilis와 Lactobacillus plantarum의 혼합균주 메주의 발효에 의한 것으로 생각한다.

주부(主婦)들의 한과류(韓菓類) 이용(利用)에 관한 실태조사(實態調査) (A Study on the Utilization of Korean Traditional Cookies by Housewives)

  • To investigate the utilization of Korean traditional cookies by housewives, a survey was conducted to 1,037 housewives residing in Seoul, from October 16 to 23, 1986. Results are summarized as follows; The frequency of intake of Korean traditional cookies was very low depending on the age and total income. Housewives didn't prepare Korean traditional cookies at home, but mainly purchased commercial products in the market. Older people preferred Korean traditional cookies than younger people. The Korean traditional cookies which preferred by the housewives were generally Yackwa, Sesame-Gangjung, Soybean-Gangjung, Sanja, Perilla-Yutgangjung, Maejagkwa, Seban-Gangjung, Soybean-Yutgangjung and Black sesame-Gangjung. Improvement of taste in Korean traditional cookies was desired by 44.7% out of respondents. Additionally the respondents agreed that quality of Korean traditional cookies which is on the market have superior quality than western cookies, that the price of Korean traditional cookies is expensive and that Korean traditional cookies have various and abundent kind. The respondents preferred bamboo basket packing as packing materials of Korean traditional cookies. The main reason why Korean traditional cookies isn't wide spread use is the mass production of Korean traditional cookies does not accomplished.

조릿대의 종합적 활용을 위한 조릿대 섬유 특성 평가 (Evaluation of Characteristics of Sasa quelpaertensis Nakai Stem for the Comprehensive Utilization)

  • Chemical composition, morphological properties and papermaking properties of Sasa quelpaertensis Nakai were investigated in order to use it comprehensively. The lignin contents of stalks and leaves were 18.8% and 15.3% and the holocellulose contents were 63.3% and 48.6% respectively. The contents of ash and the amount of water extract showed the higher value than those of wood or other bamboo species. The average fibers length and width of Sasa quelpaertensis Nakai were 780 ${\mu}m$ and 14.8 ${\mu}m$. The fibers of Sasa quelpaertensis Nakai stalk had thinner width and more slender structure than those of softwood. The handsheet made of Sasa quelpaertensis Nakai alkaline pulp showed higher in tensile strength and bulkier structure than those of handsheet made of soft wood unbleached kraft pulp.

A Study on the Classifications and Symbolic Meanings of Vietnamese Traditional Patterns

  • This study clarified the classifications of Vietnamese traditional patterns and analyzed the symbolic meanings that reflect the emotional and cultural background of the Vietnamese. The type and symbolism of Vietnamese traditional patterns were analyzed through research on the history of Vietnamese costumes, the history of Vietnamese arts, the history of Vietnamese traditional culture, and a Vietnamese museum survey. The results of this study were as follows: 1. Animal patterns are diverse and include dragons, unicorns, tortoises, phoenixes, cranes, lions, bats, tigers, and buffalo patterns. 2. Dragon patterns are the most utilized pattern for practical purposes. They are often used in royal costumes, Vietnamese traditional dresses, mandarin boots, bamboo fans, silk, satin, ceramics, and other detailed decorations. 3. The patterns symbolized fortune that meant good luck and longevity so people can live long and happy. Then the symbolic meanings of patterns were followed by prosperity, nobleness, apotropism, prolificacy, and wealth. 4. Since the most of animal patterns have symbolic meanings of fortune and longevity, animal patterns can be utilized as the source of traditional patterns of design inspiration for the development of Vietnamese modern patterns and the application on Vietnamese fashion products.

Cooking Characteristics and Processing of Rice Coated with Bamboo Extracts

  • 최근 경제성장과 더불어 쌀 소비 형태가 양보다 질을 우선하게 됨에 따라 다양한 지역 브랜드 쌀, 고품질 친환경 쌀, 씻지 않는 쌀, 버섯쌀과 강화미와 같은 기능성 쌀 등을 생산하여 차별화를 죄하고 있다. 이처럼 최고의 쌀을 소비자에게 공급하기 위하여 쌀의 다양한 상품화가 필요하다. 따라서 동의보감, 본초강목, 중약대사전 등에서 중풍, 경기, 가슴답답할 때 효과가 있다고 알려진 대나무를 가열할 때 나오는 진액인 죽력을 이용하여 기능성 쌀을 제조하였다. 대나무 추출방법에 따른 추출물 $\ulcorner$죽력$\lrcorner$ 은 가용성 고형분과 총 페놀 함량은 에탄을 추출물이 가장 높았고 증발잔사는 직접가열에 의한 추출물이 가장 많았다. 추출물을 코팅한 쌀의 취반후 관능은 에탄을 추출물을 코팅한 처리가 향과 맛이 가장 우수하였고 조직감은 추출방법 간에 차이가 없었다. 대나무 에탄을 추출물의 코팅 량별 쌀의 색도 L, a, b값은 코팅 농도가 증가될수록 증가되었으나 취반후 밥은 L값만 감소되었다. 취반 후 밥의 관능은 10% 코팅 처리에서 향과 맛이 가장 양호하였다. 죽력을 코팅한 쌀의 무기성분은 무코팅 쌀 보다 모든 성분함량이 높았는데 특히 K 함량이 월등하였다. 죽력 코팅 쌀의 취반 특성은 무코팅 쌀 보다 흡수율은 낮았고 팽창율은 떨어졌으나 토요 식미지수는 높았다. 코팅 쌀의 취반 후 물성은 경도, 검성, 씹힘성은 무코팅 쌀 보다 높았고 응집성, 탄력성, 부착성은 낮은 경향이었다.
