점성토의 변형특성 평가를 위한 새로운 응력경로시험기법 (A New Stress Path Testing Scheme To Estimate Clay Deformation Characteristics)

  • A new stress path testing scheme with back pressure equalization process is proposed, to compute the settlement of clay soils based on their probable deformation mode. The proposed testing scheme minimizes the efforts for testing, otherwise numerous testing works are required to simulate the probable stress paths in the field. Furthermore, the proposed testing scheme can supply anisotropic stress paths for consolidation which cannot be possible in a conventional way. The validity and effectiveness of the proposed testing scheme was investigated and confirmed with test results on remolded kaolinite clay soils. Conclusively, it is suggested that the proposed testing scheme is a very effective tool to compute settlement of clay soils and it is also very useful to investigate the anisotropic characteristics of deformation of clay soils.

  • 본 연구에서는 점성토지반의 침하량 평가에 보다 적합한 새로운 응력경로시험을 소개하였다. 새로운 시험기법에서는 배압평형과정을 채택함으로써 특정 응력경로상의 모든 점에 대응하는 변형특성을 하나의 시험을 통해 파악할 수 있다. 따라서, 제안된 시험기법을 적용하는 경우, 응력경로법의 실용적인 적용을 위해 필요한 지반의 전반적인 변형거동을 몇 개의 시험만으로 예측할 수 있으며 나아가 기존의 시험기법으로는 수행이 불가능했던 이방적 압밀응력 경로에 대한 변형거동의 평가 역시 실험적으로 가능해진다. 이와 함께 본 연구에서는 성형 카올리나이트 시료에 대해 다양한 응력경로시험을 수행하여 제안된 시험기법의 실험적 적용성을 확인하였으며, 그 결과를 활용하여 전반적인 변형거동과 침하량을 평가하는 실제 과정을 제시하였다.

  • Equivalent volume estimation of the coupler and two coupled microphones has a key role in standard microphone pressure calibration. The equivalent volume of the microphone is determined by the dynamic characteristics of the diaphragm system and front cavity. Therefore the modal parameters of diaphragm system - natural frequency and damping fatter - should be measured explicitly for the estimation of the equivalent volume. The diaphragm system is composed of the vibrating diaphragm, back slit behind diaphragm, pressure equalization vent, and front cavity which are acoustically coupled. In the measurement, the electrostatic actuator was used to excite the system with the swept sine, and the frequency response was obtained. The close actuator in front of the diaphragm must influence the radiation impedance of the system, and then the modal parameters. From the measured frequency response, the natural frequency and the damping factor could be estimated with the Complex exponential method based on the Prony model and the zero crossing real and imaginary plot.
