The Spectra Investigation of the Halo Planetary Nebula BoBn 1

  • The extremely metal-poor halo planetary nebula BoBn 1 has been investigated based on IUE archive data, Subaru/HDS spectra, VLT/UVES archive data, and Spitzer/IRS spectra. We have measured a heliocentric radial velocity of $+191.6\pm1.3\;kms^{-1}$ and expansion velocity 2Vexp of $40.5\pm3.3\;kms^{-1}$ from an average over 300 lines. The estimations of C, N, O, and Ne abundances from the optical recombination lines (ORLs) and Kr, Xe, and Ba from the collisional excitation lines (CELs) are also done. We have detected 5 fluorine and several slow neutron capture elements (the s-process). The amounts of [F/H], [Kr/H], and [Xe/H] suggest that BoBn 1 is the most F-rich among F detected PNe and is a heavy s-process element rich PN. The photo-ionization models built with non-LTE theoretical stellar atmospheres indicate that the progenitor was a 1-1.5 $M_\bigstar$ that would evolve into a white dwarf with an $0.62M_{\odot}$ core mass and $0.09M_{\odot}$ ionized nebula. Careful examination implies that BoBn 1 has evolved from a binary and experienced coalescence during the evolution to become a visible PN. The elemental abundances except N could be explained by a binary model composed of $0.75M_{\odot}+1.5M_{\odot}$ stars.

  • This study was carried out to establish a new breeding scheme which is connected with conventional breeding method and anther culture method. To develop a herbicide resistant and direct seeding rice, $F_1$ plants were subjected to anther culture and regenerated plants from 5 crosses were studied to confirm the introduction of bar gene. After PCR analysis, we selected 227 plants which were carrying herbicide resistance gene (bar) out of 1,508 regenerated plants from anther culture. Among 169 $A_2$ lines carrying herbicide resistant gene from 5 crosses including YR23235 (Dongjin Ds3(Ba $r^{R}$)/ Milyang165), 42 lines that had superior agronomic characters were selected for further research. Among them, YR23235Acp79 which showed herbicide resistance, direct seeding adaptability and superiority in major agronomic characters was named Milyang 204. This breeding scheme proved that the anther culture of $F_1$ plants crossed between transformant and cultivar or transform ant alone could be utilized in breeding programs for a rapid progeny fixation and development of a variety.y.

Synthesis and Effect of Plasma Treatment of Acrylic Composite Particle Binder (아크릴계 복합입자 바인더의 제조와 플라즈마 처리영향)

  • Kind of monomer(MMA, EA, BA, St)and the monomer ratio(80/20 to 20/80) where changed in the preparation of the core shell binder, and property was improved the plasma processing. Each material changed by plasma treatment time($1{\sim}10\;s$) to change to measure the tensile strength, contact angle and adhesion peel strength for the core shell binder optimal conditions for handling the output of the surface treatment. The type of polymerization and composition of the binder is a regardless initiator of APS, the reaction temperature of $85^{\circ}C$ to 0.3 wt% of the surfactant used to indicate when the conversion rate was the highest, core shell composite particle binder got two glass temperature curves. Core shell binder after the plasma processing contact angle change is the PEA/PSt 38 percent of cases within five seconds to indicate slight decrease was a decline rapidly if not handled $0^{\circ}$ to reach. Tensile strength PSt/PMMA varies $46.71{\sim}46.27\;kg_f$/2.5 cm and adhesion strength PEA/PMMA varies $7.89{\sim}14.44\;kg_f$/2.5 cm increases. Overall, adhesion strength of core shell composite particle is in the order of order PEA>PBA>PSt for shell monomer MMA.

  • The temperature and the composition dependence of the dielectric properties of the solid solution materials in the system $xBa(Zn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})O_{3}\[BZN]-(1-x)\Sr(Zn_{1/3}Nb{2/3)O_{3}\[SZN]$ at microwave frequency was studied. The dielectric constant and unloaded Q were $40.5{\pm}0.5,5980{\pm}100$ respectively for BZN at 10 GHz and $36.9{\pm}0.5,2700{\pm}100$ for SZN at 10.2GHz. The temperature coefficient of the resonant frequency was $+27.5ppm/{\circ}C$ for BZN and $-39.1ppm/{\circ}C$ for SZN. The results also showed that 0.3 BZN-0.7 SZN is the most temperature-stable composition among xBZN-(1-x) SZN solid solutions. In this case, the dielectric constant, the unloaded Q and $\tau_{f}$ at 9.8GHz were $41.5{\pm}0.2,2920{\pm}100$ and $-3.5ppm/{\circ}C$, respectively.

  • The effect of glass addition on the low-temperature sintering and microwave dielectric properties in $BaO-Nd_2O_3-TiO_2$ dielectric ceramics were studied. When 10~30 wt% of alkali lithium borosilicate glass was added, the sintering temperature decreases from $1300^{\circ}C$;to;1000^{\circ}C$ and the relative density more than 95% was obtained. When the added amount of glass increased above 10 wt%, the density as well as dielectric properties changed, which was attributed to the second phase formation. When the sample was sintered at 100$0^{\circ}C$ with l0wt% of glass, the dielectric properties of $Qxf_o{ge}2800,;{varepsilon}_r{ge}65;and;{ au_f=+55 ppm/^{\circ}C$ were obtained.

  • Printing process generates a vast amount of toxical waste and wastewater by the development of printing and publishing industry. The regulations for various environmental pollution material, which were indispensably used in printing industries, were getting stronger. The printing industries should develop the cleaner technologies in order to avoid the regulations. In this paper, the separation characteristics of microfiltration, ultrafiltration, reverse osmosis were surveyed to make basic data for the optimization of process as cleaner technologies for printing industries.   • High Temperature-cooking conditions of cultured fishes(loach, crucian carp, bastard halibut, and jacopever) were optimized by response surface methodology(RSM), and plastein products were prepared using enzymatic hydrolysis. Four models were proposed with regard to effects of time(t), temperature(T), and water/fish meat (w/f) ratio on the amount of 0.3M TCA soluble fractions. The model coefficients were ranged from p<0.0001 for jacopever to p<0.0433 for bastared halibut. Cooking conditions for 60% hydrolysis were optimized at 1) 14$0^{\circ}C$ except for crucian carp(136$^{\circ}C$); 2) 10.08 hours(loach), 7.25 hours(crucian carp), 9.85 hours(ba-stard harlibut), and 9.37 hours(iacopever); 3) 1:1(w/f) ratio except for the crucian carp(1.1:1). When protein hydrolyzates were employed for the plastein synthesis, optimum plastein-reaction conditions were determined to be pH 9.0 with chymotrypsin for the loach and crucian carp hydrolyzates, pH 9.0 with papain for the bastard halibut hydrolyzate, and pH 11.0 with trypsin for the jacopever hydrolyzate. Plastein reaction could be performed in water at concentration up to 20%(w/f).

Two-Dimensional Shear Wave Elastography Predicts Liver Fibrosis in Jaundiced Infants with Suspected Biliary Atresia: A Prospective Study

  • Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the role of preoperative two-dimensional (2D) shear wave elastography (SWE) in assessing the stages of liver fibrosis in patients with suspected biliary atresia (BA) and compared its diagnostic performance with those of serum fibrosis biomarkers. Materials and Methods: This study was approved by the ethical committee, and written informed parental consent was obtained. Two hundred and sixteen patients were prospectively enrolled between January 2012 and October 2018. The 2D SWE measurements of 69 patients have been previously reported. 2D SWE measurements, serum fibrosis biomarkers, including fibrotic markers and biochemical test results, and liver histology parameters were obtained. 2D SWE values, serum biomarkers including, aspartate aminotransferase to platelet ratio index (APRi), and other serum fibrotic markers were correlated with the stages of liver fibrosis by METAVIR. Receiver operating characteristic (ROC) curves and area under the ROC (AUROC) curve analyses were used. Results: The correlation coefficient of 2D SWE value in correlation with the stages of liver fibrosis was 0.789 (p < 0.001). The cut-off values of 2D SWE were calculated as 9.1 kPa for F1, 11.6 kPa for F2, 13.0 kPa for F3, and 15.7 kPa for F4. The AUROCs of 2D SWE in the determination of the stages of liver fibrosis ranged from 0.869 to 0.941. The sensitivity and negative predictive value of 2D SWE in the diagnosis of ≥ F3 was 93.4% and 96.0%, respectively. The diagnostic performance of 2D SWE was superior to that of APRi and other serum fibrotic markers in predicting severe fibrosis and cirrhosis (all p < 0.005) and other serum biomarkers. Multivariate analysis showed that the 2D SWE value was the only statistically significant parameter for predicting liver fibrosis. Conclusion: 2D SWE is a more effective non-invasive tool for predicting the stage of liver fibrosis in patients with suspected BA, compared with serum fibrosis biomarkers.

  • The red emission properties of $Bi^{3+}$ co-doped $Y_2O_3:Eu^{3+}$ prepared by the solid-state reaction was investigated, in order to verify its potential to act as the red emitting phosphor of white LEDs. The emission spectrum consisted of a weak band at 581, 587, 5931 and 599 nm, with maximum sharp peaks occurring at about 611 nm due to the $^5D_0{\rightarrow}^7F_2$ transition of $Eu^{3+}$, while the excitation spectrum exhibited a broad band between 290 and 430 mm with peaks occurring in the range of $310{\sim}390nm$. Also, SEM image of the sample containing 0.43 mol% $H_3BO_3$ and 2.08 mol% $BaCl_2{\cdot}2H_2O$ phosphor particles grew to achieve diameters of $700{\sim}800nm$.

Organic Dispersion Type Back Light EL Display Device as a New Light Source (신광원 유기분산형 백라이트 EL 디스플레이 소자)

  • In this paper, organic dispersion type back light EL(Electroluminescent) devices were manufactured using Ethyl hydroxy ethyl cellulose as organic binder, ZnS:Cu as phosphor powder and $BaTiO_3$ as dielectrics by screen printing method, which are focused on as a new light source. The properties of the fabricated organic dispersion type back light EL devices were showed $1.98[mA/\m^2]$ of current density, 0.075[W] of power consumption, 7.1[nF] of capacitance at $25[^{\circ}C]$, 100[V], 400[Hz], respectively. Also brightness of the fabricated device was revealed $20~110[cd/\m^2]$ at 50~150[V] and the change of color was shoed bluish green of x=0.1711, y=0.3676 which are color coordinate by CIE.
