London's BID, introduced in the early 2000s, has grown significantly to fill the gap between government services which have been decreased by the global recession and localism, and the demand for better services to strengthen competitiveness on a global level. Based on this background, this study comparatively analysed two BIDs in London with contrasting regional characteristics to find how BID works differently for the regeneration and sustainable development of regional business districts according to regional characteristics. As a result, the two BIDs ultimately had the goal of improving the local business environment and strengthening the competitiveness of local businesses and had a common point of working in close partnership with the public sector such as the local government. However, depending on the local situation and characteristics, it has been observed that there are differences in the strategies of work and the roles and relationships in the partnership with the public sector.

조건부가치측정법(contingent valuation method)은 비시장재의 경제적 가치를 추정하는 방법의 하나로, 공공사업의 경제적 편익을 계산하는 데 이용되어 왔다. 지불거부응답(protest responses)은 본인의 선호와 상관없이 설문과정에서 공공사업에 대해 단 1원도 지불할 의사가 없다고 응답하는 행동으로, 전체 CVM 응답의 25% 정도를 차지한다. 본 연구는 평가 대상이 된 공공재의 가치 추정에 있어 지불거부응답 행동에 의한 편의(bias)를 최소화하기 위해, 자신의 선호에 의해 지불의사액이 '0'이라고 답한 응답으로부터 지불거부응답을 판별해 내는 문항(protest response filtering items)과 그 미시적 근거를 제시한다. 이를 위해 본 논문은 선호에 기반한 지불의사액을 '잠재적 지불의사액(implicit willingness-to-pay)'이라고 정의함으로써 설문과정에서 선호체계 이외에 다양한 요인이 작용하여 결정된 '구술된 지불의사액(stated willingness-to-pay)'과 구분하였다. 한편, 한국개발연구원(KDI)에서 주관한 20여 건의 CVM 데이터를 이용한 실증분석 결과에 의하면, 지불거부응답은 무작위가 아닌 응답자의 사회 경제적 특징에 의해 체계적으로 발생한다. 이는 지불거부응답을 공공재의 경제적 가치 추정에서 제외시킬 때 선택편의(selectivity bias)가 발생할 수 있음을 의미한다.

This study investigated a path model in which men's and women's communication behavior escalating marital conflict (CBEMC) may be influenced directly and indirectly, via negative interpretations of their spouse, by their spouse's problem behavior, the couple's turning toward bids, and dyadic perspective-taking. Self-report data were collected from 498 married men and women who were living in Busan, Korea. Multiple-group analysis revealed that the path model was not equivalent for men and women. Their couple's turning toward bids and dyadic perspective-taking for men, and their spouse's problem behavior and dyadic perspective-taking for women, had direct effects on CBEMC. Further, their spouse's problem behavior and the couple's turning toward bids had indirect effects on CBEMC through negative interpretations in both men and women. The indirect effect of dyadic perspective-taking on CBEMC was significant only for men. Finally, considering total effects, dyadic perspective-taking was the strongest predictor of CBEMC for both genders.

This study analyzes revenue-maximizing strategies of online auction sellers in terms of setting up starting bids and buy-it-now options. To this end, a series of field experiments is conducted where women's hair accessories of unique designs are listed in an established online auction site. The results of the experiments argue that high starting bids could increase sellers' revenue while buy-it-now options have no significant effects. Our findings suggest that online auction sellers listing items with uncertain demand - mainly individual sellers - should be cautious with auction tips which generally support low starting buds.

본 연구는 최근 신규용수항목으로 인정된 환경개선용수 공급에 따른 편익을 경북 영덕군 영덕오십천을 사례로 조건부가치측정법(CVM)을 적용하여 측정하였다. 기존 CVM 방법론에 여행비용접근의 주요변수인 거리변수를 포함하여 시장영역을 설정하는데 활용하였으며, CV문항에 대한 저항응답들을 지불의사(WTP) 응답과 결합추정하여 잠재적 편의를 줄이고자 하였다. 실증분석결과 대상하천으로부터 먼 거리에 거주할수록 응답자들의 WTP도 적어지는 거리-소멸관계가 나타내었으며, 거리변수의 형태에 따라 WTP변화율도 달랐다. 나아가서 최장거리 거주자 범위 밖에서도 정의 WTP가 측정되어, 전국가구가 수혜자일 수 있음을 확인하였다. 다른 한편으로 전체표본, 저항응답 삭제 그리고 표본선택모형 추정 등 저항응답의 처리에 따라 제시금액 변수의 계수추정치가 상당히 차이가 났고, 결과적으로 표본 WTP도 저항응답 제외 표본은 2,000원 정도로 표본선택모형은 6,000원 정도로 측정되어 3배 정도의 차이가 나타났다.

In this paper, by a simple example it is shown that existing market-based criteria alone cannot completely and correctly evaluate the transmission network expansion from market view. However criteria congestion cost (CC) and social welfare (SW) together are able to correctly evaluate transmission network from market view and so they are adopted for the market-based transmission expansion planning. To simply indicate the limits of CC and SW social welfare percentage (SWP) and congestion cost percentage (CCP) are defined. To consider uncertainty in bids of market producers and consumers, and also indeterminacy in the acceptable boundaries of the SWP and CCP and their priorities, fuzzy assessment approach is used. In this approach, appropriate fuzzy sets and a fuzzy rule base are provided to evaluate the acceptability of an expansion plan. Then, the least-investment cost plan, which is acceptable in all probable scenarios, is searched. The proposed method is applied to an 8-bus system.

In a cost based pool market, the generation capacity can be used as strategic bids by generation companies (Gencos) with the cost functions open to the market. Competition using strategic capacities is modeled by Cournot and Perfect Competiton (PC) model, and transformed into two by two payoff matrix game with Gencos' decision variables of Cournot and PC model. The payoff matrices vary when capacity payments are given to Gencos in accordance with their capacity bids. Nash Equilibrium (NE) in the matrices also moves with capacity price changes. In order to maximize social welfare of the market, NE should locate in a certain position of the payoff matrices, which corresponds to a PC NE. A concept of a critical capacity price is proposed and calculated in this paper that is defined as a minimum capacity price leading to PC NE. The critical capacity price is verified to work as a tool for suppressing a strategic capacity withholding in simulations of a test system.

This research provided the technology for the proposed bids to the efficient operation conditions for the application of the existing system of bids and bid proposal, the current technology of the institutional, problems were analyzed. The results of the technical proposal, the current bidding system has been exposed very early points, as ways to overcome these problems and to suggest effective operating plan was to define the details.

This paper explains a network for various participants of the electricity market to make bids on the power exchange. The power exchange accepts bids for various markets such as day-ahead, realtime, and financial over this interface. It exists on the IT plane of the market hierarchy and the participants are able to access it over the internet.
