  • The phase transfer catalysis(PTC) reagent, ethyl tri-octyl ammonium bromide(ETABr), strongly catalyzes the reaction of p-nitrophenyi diphenyl phosphinate(p-NPDPIN) with benzimidazole(BI) and its anion($BI^{\theta}$). In ETABr solutions, the dephosphorylation reactions exhibit higher first order kinetics with respect to the nucleophile, BI, and ETABr, suggesting that reactions are occuring in small aggregates of the three species including the sub-strate(p-NPDPIN), whereas the reaction of p-NPDPIN with $OH^{\theta}$ is not catalyzed by ETABr. This behavior for the drastic rate-enhancement of the dephosphorylation is referred as 'aggregation complex model' for reaction of hydrophobic organic phosphinates with benzimidazole(BI) in hydrophobic quarternary ammonium salt(ETABr) solutions.

  • BSCCO thin films are fabricated via a co-deposition process by an ion beam sputtering with an ultra-low growth rate, and sticking coefficients of the respective elements are evaluated. The sticking coefficient of Bi element exhibits a characteristic temperature dependence : almost a constant value of 0.49 below $730^{\circ}C$ and decreases linearly with temperature over $730^{\circ}C$ This temperature dependence can be elucidated from the evaporation and sublimation rates of bismuth oxide, $Bi_2O_3$, from the film surface. It is considered that the liquid phase of the bismuth oxide plays an important role in the Bi(2212) phase formation in the co-deposition process.

  • In general, the bubbling, generated during the fabrication of the tapes, breaks the superconducting filament, and critical current of the tapes will be decreased. Heat-treatment schemes of Bi-2223/Ag HTS tapes were modified, such as pre-annealing of multi-stacked billet, 2-step main sintering and ramp rate etc. The generation of bubbling was drastically decreased from 20 bubbles/m to 0 ~ 1 bubble/m by the modified heat-treatment. Therefore, the value of critical current of the tapes without bubbling was increased almost twice higher than that of already existing tapes. Critical current up to 42 A in 40 m length Bi-22231Ag tapes have been measured at 77K, self-field, 1$mutextrm{V}$/cm criterion. It could be confirmed that elimination of bubbling is effective to maintain the superconducting property along the tape length.

  • The kinetic constants and the reaction mechanism of the K228G mutant horse liver alcohol dehyrogenase isoenzyme E (HLADH-E) were compared to the wild-type enzyme. All the Km and Ki constants of the mutant enzyme for NAD+, ethanol, acetaldehyde and NADH were larger than those of the wild-type enzyme. The dissociation constants for the NADH and $NAD^{+}$ (Kiq and Kia) were greatly increased by 130-and 460-fold, respectively. The product inhibition patterns suggested that the reaction mechanism of the mutant enzyme was changed to Random Bi Bi. These results could attribute to the increase in the dissociation rate of coenzyme with the substitution at Lys-228 residue.

  • BSCCO thin films were fabricated by an ion beam sputtering method with an ultra-low growth rate, and sticking coefficients of the respective elements are evaluated. The sticking coefficient of Bi element in BSCCO film formation was observed to show a unique temperature dependence; it was almost a constant value of 0.49 below about $730^{\circ}C$ and decreased linearly over about $730^{\circ}C$. In contrast, Sr and Ca, displayed no such remarkable temperature dependence. This behavior of the sticking coefficient was explained consistently on the basis of the evaporation and sublimation processes of Bi2O3. It is considered that the liquid phase of the bismuth oxide plays an important role in the Bi 2212 phase formation in the co-deposition process.

  • In this paper, we propose a sentiment analysis model that improves performance on small-scale data. A sentiment analysis model for small-scale data is proposed and verified through experiments. To this end, we propose Bagging-Bi-GRU, which combines Bi-GRU, which learns GRU, which is a variant of LSTM (Long Short-Term Memory) with excellent performance on sequential data, in both directions and the bagging technique, which is one of the ensembles learning methods. In order to verify the performance of the proposed model, it is applied to small-scale data and large-scale data. And by comparing and analyzing it with the existing machine learning algorithm, Bi-GRU, it shows that the performance of the proposed model is improved not only for small data but also for large data.

  • Semimetallic bismuth (Bi) has been extensively investigated over the last decade since it exhibits very intriguing transport properties due to their highly anisotropic Fermi surface, low carrier concentration, long carrier mean free path l, and small effective carrier mass $m^*$. In particular, the great interest in Bi nanowires lies in the development of nanowire fabrication methods and the opportunity for exploring novel low-dimensional phenomena as well as practical application such as thermoelectricity[1]. In this work, we introduce a self-assembled interconnection of nanostructures produced by an on-film formation of nanowires (OFF-ON) method in order to form a highly ohmic Bi nanobridge. A Bi thin film was first deposited on a thermally oxidized Si (100) substrate at a rate of $40\;{\AA}/s$ by radio frequency (RF) sputtering at 300 K. The sputter system was kept in an ultra high vacuum (UHV) of $10^{-6}$ Torr before deposition, and sputtering was performed under an Ar gas pressure of 2m Torr for 180s. For the lateral growth of Bi nanowires, we sputtered a thin Cr (or $SiO_2$) layer on top of the Bi film. The Bi thin films were subsequently put into a custom-made vacuum furnace for thermal annealing to grow Bi nanowires by the OFF-ON method. After thermal annealing, the Bi nanowires cannot be pushed out from the topside of the Bi films due to the Cr (or $SiO_2$) layer. Instead, Bi nanowires grow laterally as a mean s of releasing the compressive stress. We fabricated a self-assembled Bi nanobridge (d=192 nm) device in-situ using OFF-ON through annealing at $250^{\circ}C$ for 10hours. From I-V measurements taken on the Bi nanobridge device, contacts to the nanobridge were found highly ohmic. The quality of the Bi nanobridge was also proved by the high MR of 123% obtained from transverse MR measurements. These results manifest the possibility of self-assembled nanowire interconnection between various nanostructures for a variety of applications and provide a simple device fabrication method to investigate transport properties on nanowires without complex patterning and etching processes.

  • The crystallographic site dependent substitution of $^{18}O$ for $^{16}O$ in $Bi_{2}Sr_{2}Ca_{0.8}Y_{0.2}Cu_{2}^{16}O_{8+\delta}$ has heen investigated. In the Kaman spectra of $Bi_{2}Sr_{2}Ca_{0.8}Y_{0.2}Cu_{2}^{16}O_{8+\delta}$ three prominent Raman bands are observed at 297. 464, and $623cm^{-1}$. As the $^{16}O$ arc replaced hy $^{18}O$, all the three bands shift to lower wavewnumbers. The rate of this isotopic shift is similar for the hands at 397 and $464cm^{-1}$. whereas it is quite slower for the hand at $623cm^{-1}$ '['his implys that the $^{16}O-^{18}O$ exchange reaction is crystallographic sites dependent. .Assuming a tetragonal symmetry, we assign the bands at 623. 464, and $297cm^{-1}$ to the vibrations of $O_{pl}(A_{g}),\;O_{ap}\;and\;O_{Bi}$ respectively.

  • Business Intelligence (BI) system is a strategic tool that presents an analytical perspective about business and external environments. Even though its strategic value was well known, users often avoid using it or adopt it ceremonially. In fact, over 50 per cent of BI projects worldwide are reported to end in failure. Such an unexpectedly lower success rate has been a key issue in BI studies. In order to enhance a proper use of information systems, MIS field provided a number of theoretical constructs. One example is Goodhue & Thompson's Task-Technology Fit (TTF). In addition, internalization, the degree to which people make their own effort to modify behavior, was recently suggested as another important determinant of use. Though in MIS community both TTF and internalization proved to be a key determinant of system use, there has been not much study aiming to discover antecedents influencing these constructs. In this study we assert that user participation should be highlighted in BI projects. Especially, we emphasize user participation at the phase of feasibility study that is mainly conducted to determine whether a BI system is essentially necessary and practicable. Our research model employs participative feasibility study as a major antecedent for TTF and internalization that consequently will lead to user satisfaction and actual use. This model was empirically tested on 121 BI system users. The result shows that user participation in feasibility study is positively associated with TTF and internalization, each being related to user satisfaction and system use. It implies that, if an organization has BI users get involved in strategic feasibility study phase, the BI system would turn out to fit users' tasks and, furthermore, users would put more efforts spontaneously in order to use it properly.

  • To improve free-cutting property, fine Pb, Bi particles is necessary to be distributed evenly in Al-Cu alloy. The control of added element size and distribution are very difficult because of the insolubility and gravity segregation of Pb, Bi in the matrix. Therefore, in this study, mechanical stirring of the melt, inert gasbubbling, the addition of degasser are used for the fine distribution of Pb, Bi particles. The best distribution are obtained by stirring with 500 rpm for 10min., Ar gas bubbling with 600cc/min for 5min. and degassing with 0.8wt% degasser. As increasing cooling rate, fine grain size and finely dispersed particles were observed. The optimum pouring temperature was $650^{\circ}C$.
