메밀 혼합분의 반죽특성과 생리활성 검색 (Dough Characteristics and Biological Effects of Mixed Flour of Buckwheat and Wheat)

  • 메밀 함량이 높은 국수 개발 및 메밀 원료에서부터 제품에 이르기까지의 영양적 가치와 기능성에 대한 과학적 연구를 위해서 메밀가루 및 메밀가루 혼합분에 대해서 반죽 특성과 생리활성을 조사하였다. 아밀로그래프 및 파리노그래프를 사용한 리올로지특성은 호화온도와 최고 점도는 B1에 비하여 메밀 혼합분에서는 낮아졌고, 파리노그래프 측정 결과 B1이 $BF1\simBF4$에 비하여 수분 흡수율은 낮게 나타났으며 반죽형성시간은 BF2에서 9.2분으로 가장 길었다. 메밀 혼합분 에탄올 추출물의 MNNG$(0.4{\mu}g/plate)$에 대한 항돌연변이 효과에서 S. Typhimurium TA100 균주에 대해 B1, BF4 및 BF3의 추출물은 시료농도 160 g/plate에서 각각 45%, 42% 및 37.3%의 돌연변이 억제효과를 나타내었다. 동일 시료 농도에서 4NQO(0.15 g/plate)에 대해서는 S. Typhimurium TA98과 TA100 균주에서 B1 추출물의 시료농도가 $160{\mu}g/plate$일 때 각각 64%와 44.3%의 가장 높은 억제활성을 나타내었다. 그리고 유방암세포에 대한 암세포 성장 억제활성을 검토한 결과, B1, BF4 및 BF3 추출물의 시료 농도 1 mg/mL에서 67.9%, 63% 및 59%의 억제효과를 나타내었다. 동일시료 농도에서 간암세포의 경우 B1에서 72.6%, 위암세포의 경우 모든 시료에서 70% 이상의 암세포 성장 억제효과를 나타내었으며, 특히 BF3의 경우 81.1%의 높은 억제효과를 보였다. 폐암세포와 자궁암세포에서는 60% 이상의 암세포 성장억제 효과를 나타내었다.

  • $BF_2$-chelate 형태의 4-pyrimidylideneacetonitrile 유도체들은 4-pyrimidylideneacetonitrile 유도체들의 H-chelate 화합물들과 boron trifluoride diethyl etherate를 반응시켜 얻을 수 있었다. 또 이들 H-chelate 화합물들은 2-cyanomethylpyridine 유도체들에 여러가지 친전자체들 즉 4,6-dichloropyrimidine, 4,6-dichloro-2-methylpyrimidine, 4,6-dichloro-2-heptadecylpyrimidine, 4,6-dichloro-2-phenylpyrimidine, 4,6-dichloro-5-phenylpyrimidine 그리고 4,6-dichloro-2,5-diphenylpyrimidine을 친전자성 치환반응시켜 만들었다. 화합물에 대한 구조는 분광학적인 방법으로 분석하였다.

Development and mechanical properties of bagasse fiber reinforced composites

  • Environment-friendly composites reinforced with bagasse fiber (BF), a kind of natural fiber as the remains from squeezed sugarcane, were fabricated by injection molding and press molding. As appropriate matrices for injection molding and press molding, polypropylene (PP) and polycaprolactone-cornstarch (PCL-C) were selected, as a typical recyclable resin and biodegradable resin, respectively. The mechanical properties of BF/PP composites were investigated in view of fiber mass fraction and injection molding conditions. And the mechanical properties and the biodegradation of BF/PCL composites were also evaluated. In the case of injection molding, the flexural modulus increased with an increase in fiber mass fraction, and the mechanical properties decreased with an increase in cylinder temperature due to the thermal degradation of BF. The optimum conditions increasing the flexural properties and the impact strength were $90^{\circ}C$ mold temperature, 30 s injection interval, and in the range of 165 to $185^{\circ}C$ cylinder temperature. On the other hand, as to BF/PCL-C fully-green composites, both the flexural properties and the impact strength increased with an increase in fiber mass fraction. It is considered that the BF compressed during preparation could result in the enhancement in mechanical properties. The results of the biodegradability test showed the addition of BF caused the acceleration of weight loss, which increased further with increasing fiber content. This reveals that the addition and the quantities of BF could promote the biodegradation of fully-green composites.

여객시설의 장애물 없는 생활환경 인증제도 적용현황과 지표개선 방향성 연구 - 법규비교 및 실태조사를 통하여 (A Study For Problems and Current Status Of Standards About Authentication Of A Barrier-Free Living Environment (Passenger Facilities) - Through Related Laws Comparison and Investigation)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to suggest directions for improving Authentication Of A Barrier-Free Living Environment(BF) of passenger facilities. Methods: We examined the parts (terms, Authentications, and dimensions) where the difference in the legal standards between the relevant items in the "ACT ON GUARANTEE OF PROMOTION OF CONVENIENCE OF PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES, THE AGED, PREGNANT WOMEN, ETC." and the "ACT ON PROMOTION OF THE TRANSPORTATION CONVENIENCE OF MOBILITY DISADVANTAGED PERSONS", which are the basis of Authentication of BF for buildings and passenger facilities. We also mention the differences by comparing and analyzing Authentications of BF. In addition, we survey the current status of passenger facilities in Korea that have been granted and not granted Authentication of BF of passenger facilities. and we describe improvement directions of Authentications of BF. Implications: Improvement of Authentications of BF should be made in accordance with relevant laws, and improvement of Authentications of BF to reflect various situations in the field is needed. Authentications of BF according to the type of passenger facilities should be distinguished.

다중벽 탄소나노튜브와 다양한 나노입자 복합체의 In-situ 합성법개발 및 구조제어연구 (Study about the In-situ Synthesis and Structure Control of Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes and their Nanocomposites)

  • 본 논문에서 이온성액체를 이용한 초음파화학을 통해서 칼코젠 나노입자를 in-situ로 합성하여서 다중벽 탄소나노튜브(MWCNT) 위에 도포하였다. 1-Butyl-3-methylimidazolium tetrafluoroborate ($BMimBF_4$) 이온성액체를 이용해서 MWCNT의 표면을 기능화하였다. 합성된 MWCNT/$BMimBF_4$/CdTe, MWCNT/$BMimBF_4$/ZnTe, MWCNT/$BMimBF_4$/ZnSe 나노복합체를 TEM과 EDS를 이용해서 분석하였다. 특히, MWCNT/$BMimBF_4$/CdTe, MWCNT/$BMimBF_4$/ZnTe, and MWCNT/$BMimBF_4$/ZnSe 나노복합체는 각각 요철과 같거나, 거칠거나 부드러운 코어-쉘 형태와 같은 특이한 구조를 보여주었다. 본 연구는 반응속도가 다른 전구체로부터 얻어진 이성분 반도체 나노입자를 합성과 동시에 탄소나노튜브에 도포할 수 있는 새로운 합성법을 제시한다.

The Improvement of Learning and Memory Ability of Normal Persons by BF-7

  • To investigate whether BF-7, extracted from Bombyx mori, improved learning and memory of ordinary people, Rey-Kim Memory Test was performed with placebo group (32 persons), 200 mg BF-7 treated group (33 persons) and 400 mg BF-7 treated group (34 persons). BF-7 enhanced significantly learning and memory function in a dose-dependent manner. To know how BF-T plays such a positive role, we measured the concentration of acetylcholine in the brain from memory impairment animal model. Treatment of BF-7 significantly increased the concentration of acetylcholine. So, it is supposed that the protection of cholinergic neuron and/or keeping proper concentration of acetylcholine might be one of the mechanisms by which BF-7 improve brain function. So, our results suggest that the BF-7 is effective material for improving learning and memory ability.

Genetic Parameter Estimation of Carcass Traits of Duroc Predicted Using Ultrasound Scanning Modes

  • A total of 6,804 records for Duroc breed were collected from three farms registered at the Korean Animal Improvement Association (KAIA) from 1998 to 2004 of which both records from two ultrasound modes (A and B) were analyzed to estimate the variance components of carcass traits. Three carcass traits backfat thickness (bf), loin eye muscle area (lma) and lean meat percentage (lmp) were measured. These traits were analyzed separately as bf1, lma1 and lmp1 for ultrasound mode A and bf2, lma2 and lmp2 for ultrasound mode B with multiple trait animal model by using MTDFREML (Boldman et al., 1993). All the traits revealed medium heritability values. Estimated heritabilities for bf1, bf2, lma1, lma2, lmp1 and lmp2 were 0.45, 0.39, 0.32, 0.25, 0.28 and 0.39, respectively. Estimated genetic correlations for traits bf1 and bf2, lma1 and lma2, lmp1 and lmp2 were positive but low. Specifically, genetic correlations between bf1 and bf2 was 0.30 while the estimates for lean traits between lma1 and lma2 and between lmp1 and lmp2 were 0.15 and 0.18, respectively. Conversely, high negative genetic correlations existed between bf1 and the lean traits lma2, lmp2. Likewise, the estimated genetic correlations between lma1 and lma2 and lmp1 and lmp2 were low.

Total bilirubin level as a biomarker for dampness-heat differentiation in traditional Korean treatment for jaundice

  • Objectives: Classifying the pattern of jaundice during diagnosis will significantly improve the outcome of common KM interventions. This study aimed at determining an objective index for accurately diagnosing heat and dampness KM patterns in patients with jaundice. Methods: We systematically reviewed laboratory findings from case reports published in the scientific literature of Korean medicine. Cases were classified as following either the heat or dampness pattern. Biochemical indices were compared using a Bayesian factor (BF) analysis and standard t-tests. Results: The laboratory findings of 32 patients were evaluated. The heat pattern was observed in 17 patients and the dampness pattern in 15. No significant differences were observed between the 2 groups in terms of white blood cell count (BF=1.659); hemoglobin concentration (BF=2.627); platelet count (BF=1.019); or levels of direct bilirubin (BF=1.453), aspartate aminotransferase (BF=1.226), alanine aminotransferase (BF=1.340), alkaline phosphatase (BF=2.344), or gamma-glutamyl transpeptidase (BF=2.782). However, total bilirubin levels were significantly higher in the dampness pattern group (BF=0.854, P-value=0.070). Conclusions: Patients with high total bilirubin levels may predominantly follow the dampness pattern, while those with low levels may predominantly follow the heat pattern. These results are expected to be useful for the development of timely and efficient KM treatments as well as new integrative therapeutic approaches for jaundice. However, further studies are essential to fully validate the utility of total bilirubin as a biomarker for differentiating between heat and dampness patterns.

간헐적이고 불규칙적인 부하 조건에서 바이오필터의 Xylene 제거 성능 및 세균 활성 (Biofilter performance and bacterial activity under intermittent and fluctuant xylene loads)

  • The effects of different transient loading conditions on xylene removability and bacterial activity were evaluated in the polyurethane (PU) biofilter inoculated with Rhodococcus sp. EH831: BF1 (the control) was operated under continuous and constant loading ($200{\pm}50ppm$); BF2 under continuous and constant loading after a 2-week long-term shutdown; BF3 under discontinuous (8 h on/16 h off on weekdays and a 2 day-shutdown at weekends); and constant loading BF4 under discontinuous and high loading ($700{\pm}300ppm$); and BF5 under continuous and fluctuating loading (high loading for 8 h and low loading ($75{\pm}25ppm$) for 16 h on weekdays and low loading at weekends). Xylene removal efficiencies in the BF1, BF2, BF3, and BF5 were ranged 83-89%, indicating that 2-week long-term shutdown, intermittent or fluctuant loading condition did not significantly influence the biofilter performance. However, discontinuous and high load condition (BF4) caused to deteriorate xylene removability to 52%. Rhodococcus sp. EH831 could be maintained at $10^9{\sim}10^{10}CFU/g-dry$ PU under 5 kinds of loading conditions. The result of polymerase chain reaction-terminal-restriction fragment length polymorphism showed that there was no significant change in bacterial community structures by different loading conditions.

학교시설의 장애물 없는 생활환경(BF) 인증기준 자체평가서 분석에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Analysis of Self-Assessment Form based on Certification of Barrier Free in School Facilities)

  • 본 연구는 장애물 없는 생활환경(BF)인증제도 시행에 따른 학교시설의 BF인증 적용사항에 대한 기본연구로 건축물 BF인증 평가지표를 바탕으로 초등학교 BF 예비인증 자체평가서 분석을 통해 학교시설에 적합한 장애물 없는 생활환경(BF)인증 평가지표의 개선방향을 모색하고자 하였다. 경상권 내 30개교 초등학교를 선정하여 매개시설, 내부시설, 위생시설, 안내시설, 기타시설의 현황과 평가지표를 분석한 결과 학교시설에 반영되는 항목은 배점 기준의 변별력이 다소 미흡하여 배점 기준 등의 개선이 필요한 것을 알 수 있었다. 누구나 이용하기 편리한 학교시설을 위해 중 하위 배점을 획득한 항목에 대해 기준 개선 및 배점 조정으로 질적 향상을 이끌어내야 한다.
