임의의 경계조건을 갖는 철근 콘크리트 사판의 해석 (An Analysis of the R/C Skew-Plates With Arbitrary Boundary Conditions)

  • This study was carried out to investigate mechanical characteristics of the uniformly loaded skew-plate at 4 kinds of boundary condition : i) all edges are clamped (BC-1) , ii) all edges are simply supported (BC- 2), iii) two opposite edges are clamped and the other two edges are free (BC-3), and iv )two opposite edges are simply supported and the other two edges are free (BC-4). Various skew angles, 0$^{\circ}$, 10$^{\circ}$, 15$^{\circ}$, 30$^{\circ}$, 40: 45: and 60, of the plate were tested for the above boundary conditions. Resutts obtained from the study are summarized as follows ; 1.The lateral displacement at the center of a skew- plate was decreased as the skewangle increased at all of the boundary conditions. The decrements of the conditions of BC-3 and BC-4 were considerable. And, difference of the displacement between the boundary conditions was decreased as the skew-angle was increased. 2. X-moments (to the Y-axis) at the center of a skew- plate and the minimum principal moments were shown as a similar pattern of change with respect to the skew-angle variation between BC-i and BC-2 and between BC-3 and BC-4, and the pattern of change at the conditions of BC-3 and BC-4 were shown higher rates than those for the conditions of BC-i and BC-2 3.Y-moments (to the X- axis) at the center of a skew-plate and the maximum principal moment were decreased as the skew-angle increased in a similar pattern at all of the boundary conditions. 4.X-moments at the obtuse angle side of a skew-plate were shown as a parabolic pattern of change (frist increased after then decreased) as the skew-angle increased, and a skew-angle resulting the maximum absolute moment was depended on the boundary conditions. 5.Y-moments at the obtuse angle side of a skew-plate were affected by the skewangle much more at the boundary condtions of BC-2 and BC-4 than at the conditions of BC-i and BC-3. 6.Maximum principal moments at the obtuse angle side of a skew-plate at the skew angle of 40$^{\circ}$- 45$^{\circ}$ were resulted almost the same value at all of the boundary conditions .

BC-B Type150K DWT Class Bulk carrier 구조적 특성에 관한 고찰 (A study of Analysis for 150K DWT Class Bulk carrier(BC-B type))

  • A BC-B type bulk carrier is rarely built, so the structural characteristics is not reported and familiar so far. The biggest difference between BC-B and BC-A type vessel is applying alternate cargo loading, which density is over $1.0ton/m^3$. In this paper, 150K DWT class BC-B type bulk carrier is calculated and compared with BC-A type vessel, which has same condition such as main dimension and deadweight, about prescriptive rule and FEA based on CSR. And aspect ratio of target vessel is smaller than typical capsize bulk carrier, so 150K and 180K bulk carrier, which applied BC-A type, are also compared to find feature of wide beam vessel.

파산비용(破産費用)의 중요성(重要性)과 측정방법(測定方法)에 관한 연구(硏究)

  • This paper is to examine the relevance of banarptcy Costs (BC) to Capital Structure with three related purposes: whether or not BC are trival,, a proxy methodology for estimating BC, the present value of expected BC vs tax benefits' trade off. For these purposes, the samples includes 19 industrial firms which went bankrupt over period 1970-78 and secondly seven large Companies which went bankrnpt recently in the U.S. The results are quite strong that BC are not trival. In many cases they exceed 20% of the value of the firm measured just prior to bankruptcy. Direct BC are explicit and administrative costs paid by debtor in reorganization/liqaidation process. Indirect BC are essentially defined as unexpected losses and estimated in two way: a regression method and security analyst's forcasts. The present value of expected BC for many of the bankrupt firm is found to exceed the present value of tax benefits from leverage. This implies that firms were overleveraged and that a potentially important ingredient in the discussion of optimum capital structure is indeed the BC factor. Therefore, BC are relevant to the cost of capital structure decision and should he considered seriously.

  • Broadband Convergence Network (BcN) can provide a range of quality guaranteed broadband multimedia services through packet-based converged transport network. For providing new emerging application services in due season over BcN, it is important for network designers or planners to develop a new design methodology for BcN, which differs from legacy design processes applied to a single service network. This paper thus introduces a new design concept and detailed design processes for KT-BcN. We also present a design example of BcN control network using a design system that we have developed.

Better Understanding of Direct Bone-Conduction Measurement: Comparison with Frequency-Specific Bone-Conduction Tones and Brainstem Responses

  • Background and Objectives: The present study aimed to compare thresholds of direct bone-conduction (BC direct) with those of behaviorally measured BC pure-tone audiometry (PTA) and objectively measured BC auditory brainstem response (ABR) to confirm the clinical feasibility of their relationships. Subjects and Methods: Young adults with normal hearing participated in the study to determine the thresholds from three measurements at four testing frequencies. In the BC direct, the vibrator of a bone-anchored hearing aid softband was placed on the right mastoid of each subject. In both PTA and ABR, a B71 bone oscillator was placed on the subject's right mastoid. While the subject's thresholds of BC direct and BC PTA were determined with a clinically routine 5-dB step procedure, BC ABR was conducted to determine the individual's hearing sensitivity by a peak V of the waveform using tone-burst and click stimuli. Results: The BC direct showed a different pattern between low and high frequencies. Precisely, its thresholds were 13.25 and 12.25 dB HL at 0.5 and 1 kHz, respectively, but 19 and 19.75 dB HL at 2 and 4 kHz, respectively. A significant positive correlation existed between BC direct and PTA at 1 kHz, which was also correlated with ABR. Conclusions: Based on the current data, the thresholds of BC direct were similar to BC PTA at low frequencies and BC ABR at high frequencies. The thresholds of BC direct might be predictable at approximately 5 dB higher (or lower) than that in PTA, although a large data set is required for standardization.

Adsorption of phosphate in water on a novel calcium hydroxide-coated dairy manure-derived biochar

  • The present study investigated a novel calcium hydroxide-coated dairy manure-derived biochar (Ca-BC) for adsorption of phosphate from water and dairy wastewater. The Ca-BC showed much higher adsorption of phosphate than that of dairy manure-derived biochar. The Ca-BC possessed mainly the calcium hydroxide and various functional groups resulting in high reactivity between phosphate and calcium hydroxide in the Ca-BC. The adsorption of phosphate onto Ca-BC followed pseudo-second order kinetic and Freundlich isotherm models indicating chemisorptive interaction occurred on energetically heterogeneous surface of Ca-BC. The maximum adsorption capacity of the Ca-BC was higher than those of iron oxide and zinc oxide-coated biochars, but lower than those of CaO- and MgO-coated biochars. However, the Ca-BC showed high reactivity per surface area for adsorption of phosphate indicating importance of surface functionalization of biochar. On the other hand, the adsorption of phosphate in dairy wastewater on Ca-BC was lower than that in water owing to competition between other anions in wastewater and phosphate. Overall, the Ca-BC would be a low cost and effective adsorbent for recovery of phosphate from water and wastewater.

배지조성이 Gluconacetobacter hansenii PJK의 Bacterial Cellulose 생산에 미치는 영향 (Effect of Medium Composition on the Bacterial Cellulose Production by Gluconacetobacter hansenii PJK)

  • Gluconacetobacter hansenii PJK의 경우 배지 조성 중 탄소원보다는 질소원 및 acetic acid가 BC 생산에 더 많은 영향을 미쳤다. 또한 BC 생산능은 pH 4.1-6.0 범위에서 배지의 초기 pH 영향을 거의 받지 않았으며 BC에 둘러싸인 균주보다 배양 상등액에 존재하는 균주의 BC 생산능이 더 우수하였다. G. hansenii PJK의 BC 생산은 fructose metabolism이 아닌 glucose metabolism으로 이루어지며 배지 성분 중 fructose와 lactate는 Cel$^{-}$ mutant의 발생 및 성장을 촉진시켰으며 TCA cycle에 위치하는 succinate의 첨가는 BC 생산에 거의 영향을 미치지 않았다.

알콜류가 Bacterial Cellulose의 생산에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Alcohols on the Production of Bacterial Cellulose)

  • Alcohol류를 배양액 속에 첨가하면 배양 중에 생성되는 BC가 엉기는 현상이 나타났다. 생성된 BC의 엉김은 생산배지로부터의 cellulose의 분리회수를 손쉽게 할 수 있는 장점이 있다. 이 중에서 ethanol을 사용하는 경우에는 BC의 생산성과 미생물의 성장속도가 증가하였다. Ethanol 이외의 alcohol류는 BC의 엉김현상에는 효과가 있었으나 그 독성으로 인하여 미생물의 성장과 BC의 생산성을 감소시켰다. Ethanol과 다른 alcohol 모두 BC의 엉김효과는 있으나 ethanol만 진탕배양에서 $\textrm{Cel}^{-}$균주의 출현 방지에 효과가 있었다.

농어촌지역 BcN 기반구축 사업타당성 분석 (An Analysis of BcN Feasibility of Area of Agricultural and Fishing Village)

  • 본 논문은 정부의 광대역통합망(BcN) 구축의 일환으로서 농어촌지역의 BcN 기반구축 사업의 타당성 분석을 목적으로 한다. 사업타당성 분석을 위하여 새로운 평가지표를 도출하고 전문가설문을 활용한 AHP 기법을 사용하여 사업타당성을 평가하였다. 그리고, 관련 선행연구를 살펴봄으로써 적합한 평가지표를 도출하고 계층화 분석법(AHP)을 사용하여 BcN 사업타당성을 평가하도록 한다. 그 결과 주요 타당성 지표로서 경제적 타당성, 기술적 타당성, 정책적 타당성 등이 BcN 사업타당성 지표로 도출되었으며, 평가기준으로 이해되었다. 연구결과 사업시행은 타당한 것으로 나타났으며, 분석의 신뢰도를 나타내는 비일관성지수는 0.0566으로 낮게 나타났다. 그리고, 향후 BcN 구축사업이 국민의 생활개선 향상에 크게 기여할 것으로 기대된다. 또한 BcN 사업을 합리적으로 추진하기 위한 기초자료로서 가치가 있을 것이다.
