There are limited research questioning the relationship between the disabled community and media, particularly in Malaysia. The lack of awareness and common assumption of specialty towards the disabled community have caused a small amount of local disability researches that question the relationship between the disabled community and the media. This research aims to find out the types of representation of disability in the Malaysian mainstream media, particularly press. Interview with visual disabled personnel and content analysis from news coverage of mainstream press are deployed in the study. The findings indicated the invalidity of disability culture as the misrepresentation of disabled community in Malaysia is not as severe as depicted by scholars because the news coverage focusing on them is getting more positive. Besides that, disabled people are not defensive towards the terms used to refer them as long as media practitioners do not over amplify their disability. The application of charity approach is still common in news coverage to portray the disabled community as victim, and therefore they are partially marginalized due to the misrepresentation in Malaysian mainstream press.

목적 : 본 연구는 장애인 의무고용제도의 인지정도와 그에 따른 고용증대 도움정도가 장애인의 건강상태에 미치는 영향력을 파악하고, 이를 바탕으로 장애인 의무고용제도에 대한 인지를 높여 장애인들의 건강을 증진시킬 수 있는 방안을 제시하는 데에 목적이 있다. 방법 : 본 연구에서는 장애인의 경제활동 참여에 대해 분석하기 위하여 2016-2018년 장애인고용패널조사 2차웨이브를 활용하였다. 총 1,648명을 대상으로 카이제곱 검정과 일반화추정방정식(GEE, Generalized estimating equation)을 이용하여 분석하였다. 결과 : 장애인 의무고용제도를 알고 있는 집단에 비해 전혀 모르는 집단인 경우 인지정도가 주관적 건강상태 (Odds Ratio [OR] : 1.573, 95% Confidence Interval [CI] : 1.252-1.977)와 만성질환(OR: 1.407, 95%CI: 1.091-1.816)에 유의하게 영향을 미쳤고, 장애인 의무고용제도가 고용증대에 도움이 된다는 집단에 비해 전혀 도움이 안 된다는 집단의 경우 우울감 (OR: 2.330, 95% CI: 1.219-4.452)과 주관적 건강상태 (OR: 2.052, 95% CI: 1.232-3.416) 에 유의하게 영향을 미쳤다. 결론 : 장애인의 의무고용제도 인지정도와 도움정도가 낮을수록 건강상태에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 장애인에 대한 고용제도 인지정도를 높여 고용증대를 촉진해야 한다. 나아가 장애인의 건강을 증진시키기 위하여 제도에 대한 장애인의 이해도를 제고할 수 있는 홍보방안과 고용접근의 어려움으로 인해 취업의지를 상실하는 장애인들을 보호할 수 있는 정책 등이 발안되어, 장애인이 고용활동에 참여할 수 있도록 장애친화적인 노동환경으로의 변화가 활성화되어야 한다.

The purpose of this study is to improve library promotional marketing for the disabled by identifying requirements of public library disability services. This study aimed to investigate librarian service providers' awareness of library programs for the disabled in order to prepare a systematic plan for promoting such library services. Research methods used are a literature analysis and survey. First, the ratio of respondents with experience promoting activities and services for the disabled was less than 50%. Second, regarding methods for promoting library disability services, the respondents used library homepages, press releases, library user guides, library newsletters, and library pamphlets in that order. Third, when asked what kind of PR media the library disability service providers had experience with and how often they use it, library boards and banners were the most common response. Fourth, suggested improvements to the current design and content of PR materials included: clearer word choice (or greater understandability), more detailed descriptions, simpler layouts, and more interesting or eye-catching content in that order. Fifth, the library disability services which are in the most need of public relations were guide information for library disability services, Library and Information Service (DOI services and search services), using alternative materials and the library collection, and aiding the information search. Overall, when evaluating the promotion of disability services in Korea, the library's public relations for disabled services needs to improve because currently neither librarians nor the disabled community they are targeting has frequent or quality experience with it. Thus, the policy department for the library disability services must develop a variety of promotional strategies adjusted for each type of the disability and distribute PR materials to service providers individually, making sure to utilize effective PR methods.

Purpose: Recently accomodations are required to apply universal designs to all the types of rooms in order to increase accessibility to everyone. Especially universal designs are considered as one of the important methods to help disabled users utilizing accomodations with minimizing difficulties. The current research attempted to apply universal designs to ordinary rooms for promoting usage of rooms in accomodations. Methods: The field study were executed about all the types of rooms and shared spaces in 42 accomodations in 14 cities, Also, the managers working in the studied accomodations were asked to answer the online survey about awareness in universal design. Results: In many cases, ordinary rooms are partially renovated for the disabled with adding some convenient facilities. This raises negative recognition for the rooms specially designed for the disabled as well as absence of needs for universal designed rooms. Meanwhile, universal designed rooms have been required not only for the ordinary but also for the disabled. Implications: Regarding adopting universal design to rooms in accomodations, it should be reviewed throughout all the processes from designing to planning.

장애인복지관에는 정부의 정보화 촉진 계획에 따라 2001년부터 업무표준화를 시작으로 개발된 전산시스템이 사용되고 있다. 그러나 기술적 측면과 사용자 편의 추구에만 치중되었을 뿐 정보화의 역기능에 대한 논의와 대비는 전혀 이루어지지 못하였다. 이에 본 논문은 업무 전산시스템의 활용현황과 개인정보 보호에 대한 법을 살펴봄으로서 개인정보보호의 필요성과 법적인 근거를 확인 하였다. 또한 장애인복지관의 개인정보보호 정책과 실태를 파악하고 분석함으로써 개인보호 정책 방향과 대안을 찾고자 하였다. 장애인복지관에 적용 가능한 개인정보보호 대안으로는 개인정보보호에 대한 인식을 강화시키는 교육과 개인정보의 생명주기를 반영한 제도적 보호 장치 마련과 업무전산시스템과 개인정보 사용에 대한 수시 모니터링이 필요하다. 개인정보의 유출로 인한 침해는 발생 이후 사후 조치를 취하더라도 그 피해를 막기 어렵다. 이번 논문을 계기로 장애인복지관과 사회복지 기관 전반적으로 개인정보보호에 대한 인식을 새롭게 하고, 기술적 제도적 대응 방안을 마련하는 것이 필요하다.

The purpose of this study is to develop the contents of a health care program for the disabled led by nursing students and to verify the effect of the program operation on the disability awareness and disability acceptance attitude of participating university students. Ten nursing students participated in the development and operation of the program, and the validity of the developed program was confirmed through a group of experts. After participating in the program operation, it was confirmed that nursing students' disability awareness (Z=-2.80, p=.002) and disability acceptance attitude (Z=-2.66, p=.006) all improved. Various efforts should be made, such as utilizing the health care program for the disabled presented in this study, as an experiential program to properly equip university students with awareness and attitude toward disability as a social competency.

Objectives : The purpose of this study is to investigate the knowledge, practice, and awareness toward oral health in the special school teachers. Methods : A self-reported questionnaire was filled out by 133 teachers in special education schools in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Chungbuk, and Jeonbuk. Data were analyzed using the statistical package SPSS WIN 12.0 for frequency, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Scheffe test(post hoc test), and Pearson's correlation coefficient. Results : In oral health knowledge, the average score of female teachers was 8.31 in comparison to 7.75 in male teachers(p<.05). In oral health practice, the average score of female teachers was 3.71 and that of male teachers was 3.69. In oral health awareness, the average score of female teachers was 4.12 and male teachers had 3.93. The teachers in special schools had a close positive correlation between oral health awareness and practice(r=.448, p<.05). Conclusions : The teachers tended to have better knowledge of oral health but they did not practice the oral health behavior. The teachers have the important role in oral health management for the disabled children by providing the right toothbrushing method.

본 연구는 간호사의 장애인에 대한 인식, 장애인 접촉경험, 인권감수성이 장애인에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위한 서술적 조사연구이다. 연구의 대상자는 D광역시 소재 2개 대학병원과 C특별자치시 소재 1개 대학병원에서 근무하는 간호사 181명이었다. 자료는 2021년 9월 2일부터 2021년 10월 6일까지 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 IBM SPSS 26.0 프로그램을 이용하여 분석하였으며, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficients, Multiple Regression Analysis로 분석하였다. 대상자의 장애인에 대한 태도에 미치는 영향요인은 장애인에 대한 인식(t=-3.96, p<.001), 장애인환자 접촉유무(t=3.23, p=.001), 인권감수성 중 책임지각능력(t=2.13, p=.035), 장애인인식개선교육 이수 여부(t=2.90, p=.004), 장애인건강권법 인지 여부(t=2.44, p=.016)이었으며, 30%의 설명력을 보였다(F=9.36, p<.001). 이에 따라 간호사의 장애인에 대한 인식, 인권감수성, 장애인건강권법을 포함한 장애인에 대한 태도를 함양할 수 있는 교육프로그램 개발이 필요하다.

본 연구는 장애 인식개선 프로그램의 효과성을 검증하고 이를 바탕으로 장애 인식개선 프로그램의 발전방안을 모색하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위해 프로그램을 개발하고 인식개선 프로그램 강사 교육을 진행한 후, 2017년 6월부터 10월까지 전국의 초 중 고등학생과 성인 총 508명에게 프로그램을 실시하여 그 효과를 분석하였다. 장애 인식개선 프로그램의 효과성을 측정하기 위해 '장애 인식 지표'를 활용하였으며, 장애 인식의 변화(장애 이해, 장애인 인권의식)와 장애인에 대한 차별과 다름에 대한 지식의 변화를 분석하였다. 실험설계를 바탕으로 사전사후검사를 실시하였으며, 검사 결과를 기술통계, 대응 t검증, 독립 t검증, 일원배치 분산분석(ANOVA)을 활용하여 분석하였다. 분석 결과 장애인 인식개선 프로그램 전보다 후에 장애에 대한 인식이 개선되었으며, 차별과 다름에 대한 지식도 증가하였음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 성별, 연령, 프로그램 유형에 따라 프로그램 효과에 유의미한 차이가 있음을 확인할 수 있었다. 이러한 연구결과를 바탕으로, 향후 장애 인식개선 프로그램의 개선방안 및 후속연구를 제안하였다.

최근의 사회는 매우 빠르게 변화하고 있으며 이로 인해 비장애인뿐만 아니라 장애인의 삶을 더욱 어렵게 하고 있다. 장애영역 확대로 인한 장애인구의 증가와 가족구조의 변화 등에 따라 장애인 복지 수요가 지속적으로 증가하고 있으며, 장애개념에 대한 변화와 자립생활에 대한 확산 그리고 무엇보다 장애인 인권의식 신장 등 장애인복지를 둘러싼 환경과 패러다임이 급속히 변화하고 있다. 노동권은 인간의 삶에 있어 생계는 물론이고 사회참여와 자아실현이라는 삶의 가치부여에 있어 아주 중요한 부분이며 장애인복지 패러다임인 자립생활을 가능하게 하는 핵심이기도 하다. 이에 본 연구는 청주시 중증장애인의 근로욕구 및 실태를 조사하여 향후 중증장애인의 욕구와 청주시특성에 맞는 일자리창출 및 중증장애인 고용 기회 확대 방안을 제시하고자 한다.
