시뮬레이션을 이용한 전투효과기반 공격헬기 소요 분석방안 (Combat Effectiveness Based Analysis Methodology for Optimal Requirement of Attack Helicopter Using Simulation)

  • The purpose of this paper is to propose a methodology that can estimate optimal requirement of attack helicopter Korea army will be operating in future. For estimating optimal requirement, attack helicopter's operation concept, performance, battlefield environment and enemy threat are considered. We use a wargame model, AAsim(Army Aviation simulation), as a analytic simulation model which is used to analyze DOTMLPF and operation in army aviation field. In this paper, we conduct battle experiment for anti armored corps operation which reflects attack helicopter's combat effectiveness very well. As a result of simulation, the destructive rate for enemy armored corps per each attack helicopter can be calculated. In this paper, we propose optimal requirement of attack helicopter using that destructive rate for enemy armored corps.

항공기 개발단계에서의 신뢰도 예측 정확도 향상에 관한 사례연구 (Case Study on Improvement of Reliability Prediction Accuracy in Development Phase for Aircraft)

  • In development phase of the Aircraft Systems, the reliability prediction of electronic equipments are usually performed using MIL-HDBK-217. The reliability of fielded electronic systems, however, used to be underestimated with MIL-HDBK-217. To solve this problem, some alternatives are suggested and Telcordia SR-332 is among them. In this case study, the reliability of ESU which controls gas turbine engine is predicted using Telcordia SR-332 along with the development test data. The predicted reliabilities of ESU using Telcordia SR-332 and MIL-HDBK-217 are also compared. As a result this case study showed that the predicted reliability using Telcordia SR-332 was better close to field(operation) reliability than MIL-HDBK-217.

Boundary Method for Shape Design Sensitivity Analysis in Solving Free-Surface Flow Problems

  • An efficient boundary-based optimization technique is applied in the numerical computation of free surface flow problems, by reformulating them into the equivalent optimal shape design problems. While the sensitivity in the boundary method has mainly been calculated using the boundary element method (BEM) as an analysis means, the finite element method (FEM) is used in this study because of its popularity and easy-to-use features. The advantage of boundary method is that the design velocity vectors are needed only on the boundary, not over the whole domain. As such, a determination of the complicated domain design velocity field, which is necessary in the domain method, is eliminated, thereby making the process easy to implement and efficient. Seepage and supercavitating flow problem are chosen to illustrate the accuracy and effectiveness of the proposed method.

  • Cooperative systems among various unmanned vehicles are widely used in various field and emerging. Unmanned vehicles are able to operate various missions without operator onboard and they are highly stable. Collaborative work of multiple unmanned vehicles is emphasized due to the difficulty of recent missions such as SEAD (Suppression of the Enemy Air Defenses), MUSIC (Manned Unmanned Systems Integration Capability), goldentime in the rescue mission. In this study, ROS and Pixhawk were proposed as a method of construction of a collaboration system and framework for an integrated simulation environment for heterogeneous unmanned vehicles is proposed. Totally 5 unmanned vehicles were set for the simulation for the observation of illegal fishing boats. This paper shows the feasibility of the cooperative system using ROS and Pixhawk through the simulation and the experiment.

항공기 배기후류가 FOD 발생에 미치는 영향 분석 (Analysis of the Influence of FOD by Aircraft Exhaust Wake)

  • The exhaust wake of an aircraft engine is discharged in a high temperature and high speed, which can damage objects such as an aircraft in the rear. The exhaust wake can lift small foreign substances lying on the ground or falling off, and the floating foreign substances can enter the intake duct of the aircraft moving from the rear and cause engine FOD (Foreign Object Damage). This study experimentally analyzed how the engine exhaust wake generated from military jet fighters affects the movement of foreign substances and evaluated the effects of foreign substances on the damaged area by measuring wake velocity. The simulation and field experimental results confirmed that the effect of exhaust wake increases as the rear position closer, and that foreign substances lifted by the wake can act as FOD to the adjacent rear aircraft.

A Study on the Observer Training and Implementation for Effective Normal Operation Safety Survey (NOSS)

  • Normal Operation Safety Survey (NOSS) is a safety management tool used by air traffic control organizations to measure data related to threats and errors to proactively prevent accidents before they occur. NOSS was developed to be applied to the air traffic control field according to the concept of Line Operation Safety Audit (LOSA) conducted by airlines to reduce human errors in the cockpits. Safety management based on data is crucial for the prevention of control-related accidents, and the competency of observers for this is important for the successful implementation of NOSS. Based on LOSA implementation experiences and expert interviews, this paper introduces the international NOSS methods and discusses the key factors required for effective observation and the implementation methods and implications of NOSS observer training.

  • 다양한 연구 분야에서, 광범위한 텍스트 분석을 이용한 연구 동향파악과 관련 패턴의 도출은 중요한 의미를 가진다. 본 연구에서는 키워드 네트워크 분석을 통해, 1997년부터 2016년까지의 항공관련 글로벌 연구 동향을 조사하였다. 이를 위해 스코퍼스 등재 학술지 논문 25,959편을 대상으로 키워드 네트워크 모델을 설정하고 중심성(연결, 매개) 분석을 수행하였다. 연구 결과는 항공관련 연구동향이 키워드 네트워크 분석을 통해 계량적으로 설명될 수 있음을 보여준다. 최근 20년간 항공관련 연구가 가장 활발히 이루어진 분야는 공학 분야와 사회과학 분야인 것으로 확인되었으며, 연결중심성이 높은 키워드들이 매개중심성 또한 높은 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 항공과 관련된 정책 수립 및 새로운 연구개발 주제를 탐색하는 자료로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

리더십이 민간항공 조종실 문화에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Leadership on the Cockpit Culture in Commercial Airlines)

  • 현재 국내 민간항공에서는 비행 중 기장과 부기장간에 부적절한 승무원자원관리(CRM; crew resources management)로 인한 문제가 꾸준히 발생하고 있다. 따라서 조종사 교육 시 승무원자원관리(CRM), 위협요소관리(TEM; threat & error management), 안전관리(SMS; safety management system) 및 피로위험관리(FRMS; fatigue risk management system)와 모의조종(SIM; simulator) 훈련 등을 통하여 부기장의 적극적인 역할을 강조하고 있다. 그러므로 이제는 기장의 변혁적 리더십보다는 감성적 리더십의 장점인 수평적 관계유지와 오픈 마인드(open mind), 그리고 솔선수범과 배려심 및 상호존중에 의한 반말 지양 등의 변화가 절실히 요구되고 있다. 따라서 본 논문은 민간항공의 조종실 문화 개선 방안에 대하여 기장의 변혁적 및 감성적 리더십이 부기장의 정서에 미치는 영향으로 논지를 정하고, 그에 따라 세부내용을 구성하였다.

초경량비행장치의 민원처리시스템 운용 및 관리 효율성 개선을 위한 연구 (Study on Improvement in Operation and Management of Ultra-light flying device Civil Complaints Management System for Ultralight Aircraft)

  • 본 연구의 배경 및 문제는 초경량비행장치 산업의 발전으로 드론의 성능이 향상되고 운행 대수는 증가하는 반면에 비행 인·허가 과정은 개선되지 않아 민원이 증가하는 추세에 있다. 목적은 민원을 최소화하고 양개기관 요구조건에 맞게 시스템 운용 및 관리 전반에 대한 개선이다. 연구방법은 문헌연구 및 조사를 통하여 문제점을 도출하고 기관 및 전문가들의 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 통해 검증하여 개선안을 제시하였다. 연구결과는 국토부 주관 하 항공안전법 내에 양개기관 임무·역할 및 시스템 운용·관리에 대한 반영, 비행 인·허가에 대한 명칭·절차·양식의 통합, 시스템 상에 홈페이지 바로가기 등 다수의 기능개선이다. 기대효과는 첫째, 관련법령에 양개기관의 임무와 역할을 명시함으로서 민원처리 협조가 원활해지며 둘째, 민원처리 프로세스를 통합함으로서 처리 기간단축으로 효율성이 향상되고 셋째, 대국민서비스 부가기능을 개선함으로서 민원 최소화가 기대된다. 향후 연구는 국방부 주관 하 항공촬영허가에 대한 제도적 기반마련, 국방개혁 2.0연계 관할부대 재편성, 현장 보안조치부대 여건보장 등 개선이 필요하다.

Hysteresis Compensating of PZT Actuator in Micro Tensile Tester Using Inverse Compensation Method

  • Researches about micro technology travel lively in these days. Such many researches are concentrated in the field of materials and a process field. But properties of micro materials should be known to give results of research developed into still more. In these various material properties, mechanical property such as tensile strength, elastic modulus, etc is the basic property. To measure mechanical properties in micro or nano scale, actuating must be very precise. PZT is a famous actuator which becomes a lot of use to measure very precise mechanical properties in micro research field. But PZT has a nonlinearity which is called as hysteresis. Not precision result is caused because of this hysteresis property in PZT actuator. Therefore feedback control method is used in many researches to prevent this hysteresis of PZT actuator. Feedback control method produce a good result in processing view, but cause a loss in a resolution view. In this paper, hysteresis is compensated by open loop control method. Hysteresis property is modeled in Mathematical function and compensated control input is constructed using inverse function of original data. Reliability of this control method can be confirmed by testing nickel thin film that is used in MEMS material broadly.
