Object-Transportation Control of Cooperative AGV Systems Based on Virtual-Passivity Decentralized Control Algorithm

  • Automatic guided vehicle in the factory has an important role to advance the flexible manufacturing system. In this paper, we propose a novel object-transportation control algorithm of cooperative AGV systems to apply decentralized control to multiple AGV systems. Each AGV system is under nonholonomic constraints and conveys a common object-transportation in a horizontal plain. Moreover it is shown that cooperative robot systems ensure stability and the velocities of augmented systems convergence to a scaled multiple of each desired velocity field for cooperative AGV systems. Finally, the application of proposed virtual passivity-based decentralized control algorithm via system augmentation is applied to trace a circle. Finally, the simulation and experimental results for the object-transportation by two AGV systems illustrates the validity of the proposed virtual-passivity decentralized control algorithm.

  • We have developed a new type Automatic Vending Machine(AVM) of a small size with simplification of coin mechanisms. The AVM adopts a new type transportation system named thin film-transportation system. Thin films have advantages of safe guide and transportation of various goods which made from various materials and shapes. The AVM has advantages of low price and simple mechanisms. The compact size($300{\times}330{\times}630$, mm)is realized by the use of simple coin mechanisms and thin-transportation system.

Automatic indoor progress monitoring using BIM and computer vision

  • Nowadays, the existing manual method for recording actual progress of the construction site has some drawbacks, such as great reliance on the experience of professional engineers, work-intensive, time consuming and error prone. A method integrating computer vision and BIM(Building Information Modeling) is presented for indoor automatic progress monitoring. The developed method can accurately calculate the engineering quantity of target component in the time-lapse images. Firstly, sample images of on-site target are collected for training the classifier. After the construction images are identified by edge detection and classifier, a voting algorithm based on mathematical geometry and vector operation will divide the target contour. Then, according to the camera calibration principle, the image pixel coordinates are conversed into the real world Coordinate and the real coordinates would be corrected with the help of the geometric information in BIM model. Finally, the actual engineering quantity is calculated.

  • 본 연구는 교통관리 시스템의 유고검지 체계를 검토하여 기존 체계의 문제점과 한계점을 극복할 수 있는 새로운 검지체계를 구축하고 새로 구축된 검지 체계에 맞는 알고리즘을 개발하는데 연구 목적이 있다. 새로운 검지체계는 검지기 1개소의 설치로 다차로를 검지할 수 있으며 특히 1개 차로 내에서도 검지영역을 여러 개 검지할 수 있는 다 검지체계의 장점을 최대한 살린 시스템이므로 기존 체계의 한계성인 단일 검지영역 문제를 해소할 수 있으며 경제적으로 교통관리 시스템을 구축할 수 있는 장점을 가지고 있다. 이 시스템으로 고속도로와 국도상에서 유고 검지율을 기존의 APID와 DES를 비교하여 현장 시험 평가한 결과 이 시스템이 제일 높은 유고 검지율을 나타내어 기존 시스템보다 우수한 것으로 판명되었다.

  • Despite the growing importance of safe railroad operation with the recent implementation of the Severe Accident Punishment Act, industrial accidents related to the shunting of railway vehicles persist. Therefore, the government and Korea Railroad Corporation are collaborating on an automated connection and disconnection system that enables remote control of shunting trains from a central control room, utilizing surveillance cameras. By eliminating the need for on-site workers during freight car operations at stations, it aims to reduce safety accidents inherent in manual receiving processes. A qualifying government-issued railway vehicle driver's license is necessary to handle this newly developed automatic connection and disconnection system. As a result, this study aims to establish an appropriate driver qualification system.

  • This paper presents a software toolbox with $Matlab^{(R)}$ developed for the various performance analysis of an automatic guidance system of the Bimodal Tram. The Bimodal Tram is a new kind of transportation vehicle which could be an all-wheel steered multiple-articulated vehicle. This vehicle has to be equipped with an automatic guidance, traction/braking, and docking system, In the stage of developing such a system, its validities and performances should be verified under various operation conditions. For the purpose of doing these things through simulation, this toolbox has been developed and demonstrated well by applying it to the KRRI model.

  • 본 연구는 교통카드 데이터를 이용하여 대중교통 이용과 관련하여 통행패턴을 분석하였으며 교통정책에 활용할 수 있는 방안을 제시하였다. 교통카드 데이터는 경기도권역을 대상으로 하였고 활용방안으로 교통정책 의사결정자가 버스정류소 시설을 개선할 때 교통카드데이터에서 얻어질 수 있는 여러 변수를 이용하여 대상지를 선정한다는 시나리오를 설정하여 분석하였다. 분석결과, 의사결정방법론인 K평균 군집분석과 CHAID(Chi-squared automatic interaction detection)를 이용하였으며, 유의수준 p<0.01에서 정책에 유용하게 이용될 수 있는 결과를 얻었다. 또한 본 연구에서는 이러한 결과들을 근거로 교통카드데이터를 실제로 정책에 활용되기 위해서 개선되어야 할 정책적 함의를 제시하였다.

다축 스핀들 헤드 기반의 전용 공작기계 설계 (Design of Special-purpose Machine Tool Based on a Multi-spindle Head)

  • When many holes on a plane are machined simultaneously, the positional precision and machining efficiency are very important. Multi-spindle heads are typical order making products of which the number of shafts and hole positions vary depending on the size or form of the product. For the automatic design of multi-spindle heads, the design modules for power transmission systems for drive, idle, and spindle shafts were developed, and a design technique the determining the optimum position and number of idle shafts according to gear positions was developed. In addition, for the precise determination of the multi-spindle head, the design methods for the guide planes of columns, and feed mechanisms were devised. In addition, the design modules for accurate clamping and automatic transportation mechanisms were developed. Finally, in order to simplify and standardize the design process, the design analysis and simulation verification modules are integrated.
