자동유량측정에 의한 한강대교 조석영향 분석 (Analysis of Tidal Effect in Hangang Bridge by Automatic Discharge Measurement)

  • 한강대교지점은 조석의 영향을 받고 노들섬으로 인해 흐름이 나누어지는 특수한 지형조건을 가지고 있으며, 홍수예보지점이고 한강유역의 유출량을 분석하는 대표지점이기도 하다. 따라서 정확한 수위-유량관계를 도출하기 위하여 많은 노력을 기울였으나 조석의 영향을 받지 않는 홍수기 이외의 기간에 대한 정확도의 확보가 곤란하였다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 대책으로 최근 자동유량측정에 관한 연구가 진행되었고, 실무에 적용되어 한강대교지점에서 실시간 유량자료의 획득이 가능하게 되었다. 한강대교지점에는 남단(노량진방향)과 북단(용산방향)에 2대의 자동유량측정 시설을 설치하여 운영하고 있다. 수중에 설치된 도플러방식 수평초음파유속계(H-ADCP)가 23개 각도로 회전하며 10분마다 단면의 유속자료를 생산하고, Chiu의 유속분포(Chiu, 1988)를 이용하여 유량을 계산한다. 본 고에서는 자동으로 측정된 성과와 기존의 유량측정 방법에 의한 성과를 비교하였으며, 월별 유출량에 대한 분석결과를 제시하였다.

Analysis of pH Change and an Automatic pH Control with A New Function:On-Line Estimation of Acetic Acid

  • The pH of microbial culture medium was calculated from equations of equilibrium, meterial balances for ionic components and electro-neutrality theory. Ammonium ion consumption and Acetic acid production are found out to be the major contributors for the alteration of the pH as well as the buffer capacity of the medium. By measuring the buffer capacity on-line, levels of acetic acid were estimated by a software sensor using pH signal in a fermentation process of E.coli growing in a minimal medium. The measured values of acetic acid showed good correlation to those of estimated by the software sensor.

  • Sensitivity and calibration considerations are most important in the design and implementation of real control systems. Ideally parameter changes due to various causes should not appreciably affect the system's performances. But all the values of physical components of the plants and controllers as well as the relevant environmental conditions change in time, thus the output performance can be deteriorated during the operating span of the system. Naturally the duty of calibration or the prevention of performance deterioration due to excessive component sensitivity should be provided to the control system. In this paper, we propose a digital controller which has the capability of calibration and gain adjustment as well as the execution of control law. Specifically the problems of gain adjustment and offset calibration in the light source and CdS sensor module for position measurement in a flexible link system are considerably resolved. The parameters of measurement module are prone to change due to environmental brightness conditions resulting in poor steady state performance of the overall control system. Thus a proper method is necessary to provide correction to the changed values of gain and offset in the position measurement module. The proposed controller, whenever necessary, measures the open-loop characteristics, andthen calculates the offset and sensor gain correction values based on the prepared standard measurements. It is applied to the control of a flexible link system with the gain and offset calibration porblems in the light sensor module for position to show the applicability.

Automatic Berthing Finite-time Control Considering Transmission Load Reduction

  • In this study, we investigates the auto-berthing problem for the underactuated surface vessel in the presence of constraints of dynamic uncertainties, finite time, transmission load, and environmental disturbance. A novel control scheme is proposed by fusing the finite time control technology and the event-triggered input algorithm. In the algorithm, differential homeomorphism coordinate the transformation is used to solve the problem of underactuation. Then, we apply the finite time technology and event triggered to save the time of the berthing vessel and relieve transmission burden between the controller and the vessel respectively. Moreover, a radial basis function network is used to approximate unknown nonlinear functions, and minimum learning parameters are introduced to lessen the computational complexity. A sufficient effort has been made to verify the stability of the closed-loop system based on the Lyapunov stability theory. Finally, simulation results display the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

지하주거의 실내공기환경 실태조사와 CO2 조절기 및 타이머에 의한 환기팬 자동운전에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Actual Conditions of Indoor Air Quality of Underground Dwellings and the Automatic Ventilating Fan Operated by CO2 Controller and Timer)

  • The rapid urbanization after 1970s caused the shortage of dwellings in urban areas. As the result, the underground dwellings were developed to compensate for the insufficient dwelling spaces. While the underground dwellings have some advantage in the respect of thermal and acoustic environment, they usually have the basic problems in the indoor air quality because of the lack of natural ventilation through small window areas. The purpose of this study is to investigate and to improve the indoor air quality of underground dwellings. Thirty Units in Seoul and Gyung-Gi Province were investigated into the indoor environmental conditions. For the purpose of the improvement of their indoor air quality, Automatically-operated ventilating fan was installed in a sample unit which has worst indoor environmental condition. Then the indoor air quality was monitored when it was operated by $CO_2$ control system and timer. Finally economic feasibility study was made considering the effect of the improvement of indoor air quality. The extra cost for installing timer could be paid back only in 10 months, so timer-installed automatic fan is recommended to improve the indoor air quality of underground dwellings.

레이저 센서의 환경적 특성 분석에 기반한 선박 자동계류장치용 변위 및 속도 측정시스템 설계 (Design of a Displacement and Velocity Measurement System Based on Environmental Characteristic Analysis of Laser Sensors for Automatic Mooring Devices)

  • 항만 내 선박과 부두의 사고를 예방하기 위하여 통항 및 접안 안전성 평가를 통하여 안전한 부두가 건설되어 관리하고 있으나, 선박의 접안 및 계류 과정에서 선박이 부두에 충돌하거나 로프로 인한 인명사고의 발생 등 예측할 수 없는 사고들이 종종 발생한다. 자동계류장치는 선박의 신속하고 안전한 계류를 위한 자동화된 시스템으로 로봇 매니퓰레이터와 흡착 패드로 구성된 탈/부착 메커니즘을 가지고 있다. 본 논문은 자동계류장치의 흡착 패드의 위치 및 속도제어에 필요한 선체와의 변위 및 속도 측정 시스템을 다룬다. 자동계류장치에 적합한 측정 시스템을 설계하기 위하여, 본 논문은 우선 센서의 성능 및 실외 환경적 특성 분석을 수행한다. 다음으로 이러한 분석 결과를 토대로 실외 부두환경에서 설치되는 자동계류장치에 적합한 변위 및 속도 측정시스템의 구성 및 설계 방법에 대해 기술한다. 또한 센서의 측정상태 감지 및 속도 추정을 위한 알고리즘을 제시한다. 제안된 방법은 다양한 속도 구간에서의 변위 및 속도 측정 실험을 통해 그 유용성을 검증한다.

의령수역의 자동화 물관리 시스템 운영개선연구 (A study on Improvement of Automatic Water Management System in Uiryeong Watershed Area)

  • Uiryung Watershed area, located at the confluence of Nam River and Nagdong River has 9000 ha of agricultural land area and 3024 ha of paddy rice field have been reclaimed and managed by Korean Agricultural and Rural Infrastructure Corporation(KARICO) in the riparian area since 1954. In spite of irrigation and drainage improvement projects in last 3 decades since 1970, there are severe drought and innundation problems in the area. To improve the difficulties and efficient usage of irrigation water not only for agriculture but also for environmental conservation and cultural ceremony, Automatic Water management system has been installed supported by Ministry of Agriculture and Fishery in Korean Government. The control office in Uiryung Branch Office of KARICO, receive all the water management records from Remote Terminal Units in 7 reservoirs and 26 Pump stations to operate the decision supporting system of irrigation and drainage facility during cropping period. Since the completion of the water management system at the end of 2003, the electric cost decrease in 80 % than average years. In spite of decrease of two technical assistants since 2004, complains from farmers for the water management are very rare. The technological experience from the automatic water management system would contribute not only for the efficient water management of Uiryang area but also for the modernization of water management of other watershed areas in the future.

효율적인 에너지 절감을 위한 센서 LED 스탠드 개발 (A Development of a LED Stand Using Illuminance Sensor for Efficient Energy Saving)

  • In this paper, we present a new lighting control method considering ambient light in addition to the required lighting illumination for efficient energy saving of a LED stand. We estimate accurate environmental illuminance using a cheap illuminance sensor by modeling measured- and actual-illuminance using quadratic polynomial approximation. The relation between PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) duty ratio and illuminance intensity is modeled by a linear model. Illumination of the LED stand is controlled by estimating the difference of required illumination and the estimated ambient illumination. The developed LED stand has reduced electric energy consumption compared with a conventional manually controlled LED stand with the same lighting source. In addition, human subject evaluation shows that the LED stand, which is applied the proposed method, is more satisfactory than conventional ones since the proposed automatic controlled illumination produce more accurately required lighting and it is convenient.

The Real -Time Dispersion Modeling System

  • The real-time modeling system, named AirWatch System, has been developed to evaluate the environmental impact from a large source. It consists of stack TMS (TeleMetering System) that measures the emission data from the source, AWS (Automatic Weather Station) that monitors the weather data and computer system with the dispersion modeling software. The modeling theories used in the system are Gaussian plume and puff models. The Gaussian plume model is used for the dispersion in the simple terrain with a point meteorological data while the puff model is for the dispersion in complex terrain with three dimensional wind fields. The AirWatch System predicts the impact of the emitted pollutants from the large source on the near-by environment on the real -time base and the alarm is issued to control the emission rate if the calculated concentrations exceed the modeling significance level.

하수처리장 유입수의 특성평가를 위한 실시간 수질예측 (Real-time Water Quality Prediction for Evaluation of Influent Characteristics in a Full-scale Sewerage Treatment Plant)

  • It is the most important subject to figure out characteristics of the wastewater inflows of sewerage treatment plant(STP) when situation models are applied to operation of the biological processes and in the automatic control based on ICA(Instrument, Control and Automation). For the purposes, real-time influent monitoring method has been applied by using on-line monitoring equipments for the process optimization in conventional STP. Since, the influent of STP is consist of complex components such as, COD, BOD, TN, $NH_4$-N, $NO_3$-N, TP and $PO_4$-P. MRA2(Microbial Respiration Analyzer 2), which is capable of real-time analyzing of wastewater characteristics is used to overcome the limitations and defects of conventional online monitoring equipments in this study. Rapidity, accuracy and stability of developed MRA2 are evaluated and compared with the results from on-line monitoring equipments for seven months after installation in Full-scale STP.
