지게차 자동변속기 저속주행기능 설계 (Design of Creep Function for Forklift Automatic Transmission)

  • A forklift is a powered industrial vehicle used to lift and move materials over short distances. Nowadays, almost all forklifts are equipped with an automatic transmission due to its improved operator comfort and increased productivity. Thanks to marked improvement of transmission control unit equipped with highly-advanced microcontrollers, recently developed automatic transmission for forklift have various auxiliary functions such as creep, auto retardation, and automatic shift with excellent shift quality. This paper deals with the creep function which enables one to maneuver a forklift at the designated low speed by slip control of clutches. The design of creep function was based on four modes of creep operation depending on the status of the operator's shift lever and accelerator pedal. Control algorithms and control parameters for each mode were designed to achieve the desired static and dynamic performance. Vehicle test for the designed creep function was carried out with an independently developed embedded controller. Test results confirmed good creep speed control without speed error at a steady state with a mild shift shock during mode changes by stepping or releasing the accelerator.

축소형 틸트로터 무인기의 전자동 비행시험을 위한 문제해결과정 (Trouble Shooting for Fully Automatic Flight Test of Small Scaled Tiltrotor UAV)

  • 스마트무인기는 수직이착륙과 고속비행이 동시에 가능하도록 헬리콥터와 고정익 항공기 의 장점을 결합한 틸트로터 항공기이다. 현재 지상통합시험을 수행중이며, 4자유도 지상치구시험과 안전줄 호버시험을 거쳐 비행시험을 수행할 예정이다. 스마트무인기에 적용된 제어법칙을 검증하기 위해서 40%축소기를 개발하여 비행시험을 수행하였다. 비행시험결과 예측하기 어려웠던 틸트로터 항공기의 고유한 기술적인 문제점들이 발생하였으며, 이러한 문제점을 해결하여 전자동 비행시험을 완료하였다. 본 논문에서는 국내 최초로 수행된 축소형 틸트로터 항공기의 비행시험 과정 중에 발생한 주요한 문제점을 서술하고, 그 해결과정을 상세하게 기술하였다. 축소형 틸트로터 항공기의 전자동 비행시험 수행을 통해 경험한 시행착오와 개선사항은 향후 계획된 스마트 무인기의 실물기 비행시험을 성공할 수 있는 훌륭한 초석이 될 것이다.

자동 접속조립시스템에 의한 광콜리메이터 성능평가 (Estimation of the Performance of Optical Collimators Manufactured by Automatic Micro Joining-Assembly System)

  • Up to now, collimators have teen generally produced by handwork and only a few companies have produced by semi-automatic system. Under this situation, automatic system for assembly of optical collimators has risen as a mast essential technique in the development of optical communication components. In this study, it was constructed to develop optical collimators with high functionality and we manufactured optical collimators with a GRIN rod lens and spherical lens using automatic system. Therefore, we worked a performance test through a comparison of collimators made by automatic system and handwork with angle augment, bean size. Also we selected a optimum assembly condition of GRIN rod lens and spherical lens. As a result, it brought a reduction of the tact time and an improvement of an efficiency and a productivity of optical collimators, therefore it was found that automatic system was indispensable for materialization of optical collimators with high functionality.

시설원예에 있어서 물관리 지동화 시스템 개발 (Development of an Automatic Irrigation Control System in Protected Horticulture)

  • This study is performed to develop an automatic irrigation control of system for effective water management in greenhouse. The automatic irrigation control system is composed of an IR-RED optical sensor in tensiometer and an One-chip micro controller. The following results are obtained : 1. A practical IR-RED optical sensor in tensiometer, which shows the starting point of irrigation, was developed. 2. The automatic irrigation system with the optical sensor and One-chip micro controller was developed and also designed to be able to combine with the control system for temperature, curtain opening, etc. 3. A multiple irrigation control system for several greenhouses were suggested. 4. The results of the system test with the driving program for automatic water management were excellent.

  • Ball type automatic balancer is used to reduce the vibration caused by unbalance of rotor. In this study, A analytic modeling of a front loaded washing machine with ball type automatic balancer has been suggested theoretically and ADAMS has been used to analyze the dynamic characteristics of automatic balancer. It is found from simulation and experimental results that the automatic balancer suppress the steady state vibration of the washing machine effectively. The test results match well with the simulation results of ADAMS, thereby the dynamic model of ADAMS can be used as virtual prototype to predict the vibration characteristics which could be changed by the modification of design variable and can reduce the design cycle sharply. To maximize the balancing effect of automatic balancer, the friction between balls and race and the deviation between geometric center and rotation center of drum need to be minimized and the optimum design for the stiffness of flange shaft and the angular acceleration of drum should be achieved.

  • This paper describes a research result on automatic generation of abstract test cases from formal specifications by applying many related algorithms and techniques such as the testing framework, rural Chinese postman tour and unique input output sequence concepts. In addition, an efficient algorithm for verifying the strong connectivity of the reference finite state machine and the concept of unique event sequence are explained. We made use of several techniques to from an integrated framework for abstract test case generation from LOTOS and SDL specifications. A prototype of the proposed framework has been built with special attention to real protocol in order to generate the executable test cases in an automatic way. The abstract test cases in tree and tabular combined notation (TTCN) language will be applied to the TTCN compiler in order to obtain the executable test cases which re relevant to the industrial application.

  • With the growing traffic density and increasing comfort requirements, the automation of the drive train will gain importance in vehicles. The automatic clutch actuation relieves the drivers especially in urban driving and stop-and-go traffic conditions. This paper describes the dynamic modeling of a clutch actuator and clutch spring. The dynamic model of the clutch system is developed using MATLAB/Simulink, and evaluated by experimental data using a test rig. This performance simulator is useful to develop the clutch-by-wire (CBW) system for an automated manual transmission (AMT). The electro-mechanical type CBW system is also implemented as an automatic clutch for AMT. The prototype of CBW system is designed and implemented systematically, which is composed of an electric motor, worm gear and slider-crank mechanism. The test rig is developed to perform the basic function test of the automatic clutch, and the developed prototype is validated by the experimental data on the test rig.

  • There has been a recent upsurge in demand for the improvement of car reliability in the Northern American which is the primary market of South Korea automobile industry. It has been required that the warranty for transmission control unit for passenger cars directly related to passenger safety or security should be extended for 10 years and 160,000 km. In this paper, the test method for reliability and evaluation criteria is presented to evaluate the reliability on the automatic transmission controller. Reliability certification test can be roughly divided into two types: a quality test and life assessment test and a quality test can be subdivided into a basic performance test and environmental resistance test. There are 3 types of tests on the performance test for automatic transmission controller and environmental resistance test is composed of 14 items. Life test is performed with only the product passed this quality test. In this study, operation limit test at the high-temperatures, accelerated life test under specific temperature and accelerated life test for 2 or 3 stress levels are shown as a way for life test.

1대1 요구사항 모델링을 통한 테스트 케이스 자동 생성 (Automatic Test Case Generation Through 1-to-1 Requirement Modeling)

  • 생성된 테스트 케이스와 요구사항과의 연관관계가 중요하지만, 모델을 이용한 테스트 케이스 자동생성에서는 모델이 요구사항과 m:n의 관계를 맺기 때문에 테스트 케이스와 요구사항과의 관계도 매우 복잡해진다. 본 논문에서는 1:1 모델링 도구인 REED(REquirement EDitor)를 이용하여 테스트 케이스를 생성하는 방법에 대하여 기술한다. 테스트 케이스는 커버리지 타겟 생성, IORT(Input Output Relation Tree) 생성, 테스트 케이스 생성의 3단계를 거치며, 모든 단계는 자동으로 진행된다. 생성된 테스트 케이스는 하나의 요구사항에서 생성될 수 있으며 실제 시스템에 적용한 결과, 온도조절장치 경우는 5,566개, 버스카드 단말기의 경우는 3,757개, 굴착기 제어기는 4,611개의 테스트 케이스가 생성되었다.
