표정과 동작 데이터의 자동 동기화 기술 (Automatic Synchronization of Separately-Captured Facial Expression and Motion Data)

  • 본 논문은 동작 포착 장비를 통해 각각 따로 포착된 얼굴과 동작 데이터의 자동 동기화 기술에 대해 다룬다. 광학식 동작 포착 기기를 사용할 때 얼굴 표정과 동작의 포착은 별도로 이루어지는 경우가 많으며, 이 경우 두 데이터 간의 동기화 수행하여야 자연스러운 애니메이션을 만들 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 두 데이터 간의 공통 부분인 목 및 얼굴의 전체적인 움직임 데이터를 기준으로 비선형 시간 변형을 통해 동기화를 수행하는 기법을 제안한다. 연구 결과를 간단한 실험 시나리오에 적용하여 기술의 효과성 여부를 검증하였다.

  • Our N.C. sewing machine is a device that acts sewing automatically in reference to N.C. data made by data input device. Our N.C. sewing mechine is composed of induction motor that has electric clutch and brake, step motor that drives x-y table. Sewing area of our machine is 170 mm * 100 mm, maximum sewing speed is about 2000 spm, maximum stitch length 6.2 mm. In actual sewing, synchronization between motion of needle up-down and motion of x-y table is a critical factor. In this paper, technology about synchronization will be profoundly discussed.

  • 본 연구는 Laban이 제시한 모션 분석 기법을 이용하여 모션의 긴장도를 측정하는 방법을 제안한다. 이러한 긴장도 값을 이용하면 캐릭터 모션과 배경음악간의 자동적 동기화를 위한 기준값으로 사용할 수 있다. Laban의 모션 분석 기법, 즉 LMA는 모션을 Effort라고 명명된 4개의 시공간적 요소로 나누고 각 4개의 Effort마다 2가지 상반된 기준을 제시함으로써 모션을 분석하도록 하였다. 이러한 기준을 양적으로 측정하기 위해 우리는 운동학, 역학에 기초한 수식을 제안하고 이를 통해서 계산된 실제 긴장도 값을 실험 데이타에 근거하여 조정하였다. 실험을 통해 제안한 긴장도 측정 결과는 어느 정도 사람의 반응과 비슷한 정도의 순위 판별 능력을 보였다.

  • Cutting process has been automated by progress of CNC and CAD/CAM, but polishing process has been depended on only experiential knowledge of expert. To automate the polishing process, a polishing robot with w degrees of freedom which is attached to a machining center with 3 degrees of freedom has been developed. This automatic polishing robot is able to keep the polishing tool normal on the curved surface of die to improve a performance of polishing. Polishing task for a curved surface die demands repetitive operation and high precision, but conventional control algorithm can not cope with the problem of disturbance such as a change of load. In this research, a new sliding mode control algorithm is applied to the robot. The signal compression method is used to identify polishing robot system. to obtain an effect of 5 degrees of freedom motion, a synchronization between the machining center and polishing robot is accomplished by using M code of machining center. And also a trajectory for polishing the curved surface die by 5 degrees of freedom motion, a synchronization between the machining center and polishing robot is accomplished by using M code of machining center. And also a trajectory for polishing the curved surface die by 5 axes machining center is divided into data of two types for 3 axes machining center and 2 axes polishing robot. To evaluate polishing performance of the robot. various experiments are carried out.

곡면금형 연마를 위한 머시닝센터 장착형 연마로봇 시스템 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of Polishing Robot System Attached to Machining Center for Curved Surface Die)

  • Polishing work for a curved surface die demands simple and repetitive operations and requires much time while it demands also high precision. Therefore it is operated by a skilled worker in handiwork. However the workers avoid gradually a polishing work because of the poor environmental conditions such as dust and noise. In order to reduce the polishing time and to alleviate the problem of shortage of skilled workers, an automatic polishing robot system which is composed of a polishing robot with two degrees of freedom motion and pneumatic system is developed, and it is attached to machining center with three degrees of freedom. The system keeps the polishing tool vertically on the surface of die and maintains constant pneumatic pressure. The polishing robot with DSP(digital signal processor) controller is controlled by sliding mode control. A synchronization between machining center and polishing robot is accomplished by using M code of machining center. A performance experiment for polishing work is executed by the developed automatic polishing robot system. The result shows that the developed automatic polishing robot has a good performance and well polished workpiece surface is obtained.

In the research, a polishing robot with 2 degrees of freedom motion attached to machining center with 3 degrees of freedom and pneumatic system forms an automatic polishing system which keeps the polishing tool vertically on the surface of die and maintains constant pneumatic pressure. A synchronization between machining center and polishing robot is accomplished by using M code of machining center. A rulled surface and shadow mask are polished by the developed polishing robot.

FES 보행을 위한 보행 이벤트 검출 (Gait-Event Detection for FES Locomotion)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a gait-event detection system, which is necessary for the cycle-to-cycle FES control of locomotion. Proposed gait event detection system consists of a signal measurement part and gait event detection part. The signal measurement was composed of the sensors and the LabVIEW program for the data acquisition and synchronization of the sensor signals. We also used a video camera and a motion capture system to get the reference gait events. Machine learning technique with ANN (artificial neural network) was adopted for automatic detection of gait events. 2 cycles of reference gait events were used as the teacher signals for ANN training and the remnants ($2\sim5$ cycles) were used fur the evaluation of the performance in gait-event detection. 14 combinations of sensor signals were used in the training and evaluation of ANN to examine the relationship between the number of sensors and the gait-event detection performance. The best combinations with minimum errors of event-detection time were 1) goniometer, foot-switch and 2) goniometer, foot-switch, accelerometer x(anterior-posterior) component. It is expected that the result of this study will be useful in the design of cycle-to-cycle FES controller.
