  • Radio frequency identification system (RFID) is an automatic technology and aids machines or computers to identify objects, record metadata or control individual target through wireless waves. Connecting RFID reader to the terminal of Internet, the readers can identify, track and monitor the objects attached with tags globally, automatically, and in real time, if needed. This is the so-called Internet of Things (IOT). RFID is often seen as a prerequisite for the IOT. This paper surveys the technologies of RFID and IOT, discusses the applications and challenges of RFID technology used in IoT.

재하시험을 통한 사장교의 케이블 장력 모니터링 시스템의 적용성 평가 (Evaluation of Applicability of Cable Force Monitoring System of Cable-stayed Bridge by Field Loading Test)

  • 본 연구에서는 사장교의 케이블 장력을 장기적인 관점에서 보다 효과적으로 분석하고 모니터링할 수 있는 케이블 장력 모니터링 시스템을 개발하는 연구를 수행하였다. 제안된 모니터링 시스템에는 실시간 동적 데이터에서 일정 대상시간 동안의 가속도 데이터를 선정하고, 이를 고속 푸리에 변환 알고리즘에 적용하여 주파수 분석한 결과를 평균하여 일반화시키는 신호해석이론이 적용되었다. 제안된 케이블 장력의 모니터링 시스템의 적용성을 평가하기 위하여 실제 공용중인 사장교에 대한 현장재하시험을 실시하였다. 현장계측을 통한 수동으로 계산된 장력과 모니터링 시스템의 강제저장 기능을 통해 저장된 데이터를 수계산하여 반자동으로 계산된 장력을 비교한 결과, 장력차이가 1% 이내로 발생하였고, 제안된 모니터링 시스템에서 자동으로 계산된 장력을 비교한 결과에서는 약 5% 범위의 무시할만한 차이로 나타나 본 연구에서 제안된 사장교 케이블 장력 모니터링 시스템의 신뢰도를 검증하였다.

  • Currently drilling investigation and the SPT in parallel not only organization and peculation sincerity quality historian of test to be old the data was abundant with the site ground investigation test which is representative and the research of empirical formula in compliance with many scholar was accomplished and was come. The data which is like this wide is used with geotechnical engineering data of plan and space-time of the field which is various. SPT with tentative voluntary skillful degree record method of variety and technical expert of equipment, according to site conditional is consistent the quality of ground condition but cannot be made to show there is a tendency and specially the point whose is difficult actually accurately to follow the interval which decides in quality as a matter of tentative standard of drill and the test in parallel and a tentative method exists. From the research which sees consequently also the skill of variety and technical expert of equipment of SPT, strong point of the SPT automation logger will be able to complement the problem point of quality etc. of site condition under comparison analyzing should have been boiled about SPT of existing and tentative methods and N-value.

  • To evaluate whether or not their product is in conformity with its drawing, today's factories manufacturing rubber and/or plastic products use manual process. In manual conformity inspection process, a person decides conformity as comparing drawing to image of product with his eyes. The manual process is tedious and time-consuming in addition that it is impossible to automatically record various informations related to inspection. To solve such problems, this paper proposes automatic drawing conformity inspection system based on computer vision technologies such as image feature matching and bilinear interpolation. The test results show that proposed system is a lot faster when comparing with manual system.

  • 일반적으로 모든 전문분야 의사들은 어느 정도 표준화된 진단, 치료 방식을 취하고 있다. 그러나 세부적인 처방 및 검사, 입원일수 등은 병원 규모 및 시스템, 의료 장비 구축정도에 따라 차이가 발생할 수 있다. 이러한 차이를 줄이기 위해 최근 진료지침의 표준화에 대한 관심이 높아지면서 다양한 연구가 진행되고 있다. 표준화된 진료지침은 의료의 질을 보장하고 의사의 자율성을 보장하기 위해 병원규모 및 구축된 시스템 등에 상관없이 똑같은 진료지침을 제공하는 것이 아니라 각 병원의 상황과 환경에 맞도록 임상데이터를 기반으로 진단 및 처치, 검사 등을 제공할 수 있어야 한다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 병원 내 같은 과의 두 전문의의 임상데이터를 분석하고 이를 기반으로 해당 질병 및 병원에 맞춘 표준 진료지침을 자동으로 생성할 수 있는 시스템을 연구 및 구현하여 적용 가능한 표준 진료지침을 제시하고자 한다.

  • 최근 의료 현장은 전자의무기록, 전자건강기록 등의 의료 기록을 전산화하여 저장하고 관리하는 시스템이 의무적으로 적용되거나 전체 의료 현장에 보급되어 환자 개개인의 과거 의료 기록을 추가적인 의료 행위에 활용하고 있다. 그러나 일반적인 의료 문진 및 상담 간 발생하는 의료진과 환자 간의 대화는 별도로 기록되거나 저장되지 않고 있어 추가적인 환자의 주요 정보는 효율적으로 활용되지 못하고 있다. 이에 따라, 의료 문진 현장에서 발생하는 의료진과 환자와의 대화를 저장하고 이를 텍스트 데이터로 변환하여 주요한 문진 내용만 자동으로 추출, 요약하여 정보화하는 음성인식과 자연어 처리 딥러닝을 통한 의료상담 요약문을 자동으로 생성하는 전자의무기록 시스템을 제안한다. 본 시스템은 의료 종사자와 환자의 의료 상담 내용의 인식과정을 거쳐서 텍스트 정보를 획득한다. 이렇게 획득된 텍스트를 복수의 문장으로 구분하고, 생성된 문장에 포함된 복수 키워드의 중요도를 산출한다. 산출된 중요도를 기반으로 복수의 문장에 순위를 매기고, 순위를 기반으로 문장들을 요약하여 최종 전자의무기록 데이터를 생성한다. 제안하는 시스템 성능은 정량적 분석을 통하여 우수함을 확인한다.

서울 관악산 대기 중의 $SF_6$에 관한 연구 (Atmospheric Sulfur Hexafluoride $(SF_6)$ near the Kwanak Mountain, Seoul)

  • Sulfur hexafluoride ($SF_6$), man-made compound, has been paid attention as a potent greenhouse gas. After Kyoto Pototcol on Climate Change in 1997, nations established the policy aimed at minimizing release of $SF_6$ to atmosphere. We have developed and operated an automatic analytical system for monitoring atmospheric $SF_6$ using gas chromatography with electron capture detector (GC-ECD) and packed separate-column. Here, we report and discuss 4-month record of atmospheric $SF_6$ concentrations monitored at Seoul National University (SNU) pilot station near the Kwanak Mountain, Seoul. Most of observed $SF_6$ concentrations were excessively high compared with Northern Hemisphere (NH) background trend obtained from National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Earth System Research Laboratory (ESRL) monitoring stations. And the observed $SF_6$ showed extremely wide variability ranging from 4.6 pptv to $1.1{\times}10^3$ pptv, which may be affected by local sources placed nearby. Simultaneous wind data with $SF_6$ measurements show that relatively high values of $SF_6$ correspond to weak wind as well as southerly. There are many engineering installations to the south of the station. The regional value of the atmospheric $SF_6$ estimated from the data selection by wind conditions is about 6.8 pptv. This value, which is similar to concentrations of urban areas, is higher than NH background concentration.

  • Applying evolved IT technology to increase the satisfaction of the consumer is a typical feature of the rapidly transformed service industry. Smart devices have taken a place as the mainstream of major media, moreover, IT service strategies utilizing smart devices have been constantly developed. Location recognition method of users has been proposed as one of the significant features to the IT service industry. The long-term care home services can be one example of user location recognition methods that real time computerization of service record utilize an attached tag to home of pensioners with RFID reader or an NFC function of mobile when a home carer provides service. And, the Homecare Electronics Management System (HEMS) and the various location recognition methods will be discussed to improve effectiveness of services. In this paper, we propose a home applicable electronic management system which insurer, home care service facilities, home cares, pensioners and guardians which enables to simultaneously check service records based on the improved system by use of iBeacon.

A New Endpoint Detection Method Based on Chaotic System Features for Digital Isolated Word Recognition System

  • In the research of speech recognition, locating the beginning and end of a speech utterance in a background of noise is of great importance. Since the background noise presenting to record will introduce disturbance while we just want to get the stationary parameters to represent the corresponding speech section, in particular, a major source of error in automatic recognition system of isolated words is the inaccurate detection of beginning and ending boundaries of test and reference templates, thus we must find potent method to remove the unnecessary regions of a speech signal. The conventional methods for speech endpoint detection are based on two simple time-domain measurements - short-time energy, and short-time zero-crossing rate, which couldn't guarantee the precise results if in the low signal-to-noise ratio environments. This paper proposes a novel approach that finds the Lyapunov exponent of time-domain waveform. This proposed method has no use for obtaining the frequency-domain parameters for endpoint detection process, e.g. Mel-Scale Features, which have been introduced in other paper. Comparing with the conventional methods based on short-time energy and short-time zero-crossing rate, the novel approach based on time-domain Lyapunov Exponents(LEs) is low complexity and suitable for Digital Isolated Word Recognition System.

Multi-Valued Decision Making for Transitional Stochastic Event: Determination of Sleep Stages through EEG Record

  • Multi-valued decision making for transitional stochastic events was newly derived based on conditional probability of database. The two values (on-off) decision making method without transition had been proposed by one of the author in a previous work for a purpose of realizing human on-off decision making. The current method is an extension of the previous on-off decision making. By combining the conditional probability and the transitional probability, the closed form of the algorithm for the multi-valued transitional decision making was derived. The proposed multi-valued decision making was successfully applied to the determination of the five levels of the vigilance of a subject during the EEG recording; awake stage, drowsy stage and sleeping stages (stage 1, stage 2/3, REM (rapid eye movement)). The method for determining the vigilance level can be directly usable for the two purposes; selection of awake EEG segments for automatic EEG interpretation, and determination of sleep stages through sleep EEG. The proposed multi-valued decision making with a mathematical background of the probability can be applicable widely, in industries and in medical fields for purposes of the multi-valued decision making.
