PLC 시뮬레이션을 이용한 자동차 조립 라인 설계 (Design of a Vehicle Assembly Line Using PLC Simulation)

  • Auto-makers can only remain competitive by producing high quality vehicles in an efficient way. In designing a production line, one of the most important objectives of digital manufacturing is to verify design errors as early as possible. In terms of the cost and time saving, it is very essential to start the construction of a production line with a proven design which is error-free. Likewise, this paper aims to implement PLC verification using an example. The verification in automobile manufacturing means verifying PLC program, which control automatic devices. In this paper, we built a virtual factory to implement PLC simulation and introduced verification procedure using PLC Studio. Finally, we can prove the availability for the PLC verification.

멀티미디어 통신기기 제어를 위한 통합 TCU 개발 (Development of Integrated TCU for Multimedia Communication Devices Control)

  • 최근 네트워크회선 사용비용의 안정화로 인해 IP방송과 통신장비가 확대 보급되고 있으나, TV, DID와 같은 멀티미디어에는 고가의 네트워크 시스템을 이용한 통합관리 시스템을 사용하고 있지 않다. 제안된 멀티미디어 통합 TCU(terminal control unit)는 Wake-on-Lan을 셋탑박스에 탑재한 후에 기존 네트워크의 IP통신망을 사용하여 TV전원의 On/Off의 상태 확인 및 원격제어, 전원 제어 예약 기능(관제실 소프트웨어 지원), TV채널 변경, 다양한 인터페이스 입출력 AC전원 & Lan포트, RS-232C, IR등을 지원하는 제어기기로 기존에 저가의 제어기기로 사용되던 RF방식과는 다르게 24시간 감시 및 제어할 수 있다. 높은 가격과 확장성이 전무한 기존 제어장비에서 24시간 모니터링 기능과 자동제어 시스템 지원과 저가격인 TCU(Termial Control Unit)의 개발은 폭넓은 사용처를 확보할 것으로 예상된다.

The Visual Performance Evaluation of the Work planes with the Automated blind Control in Small Office Spaces

  • Among the various building envelope elements, the glass area takes up the largest portion in the office building design. However, a large area of glass can cause problems such as excessive solar radiation, thermal comfort, and glare. Thus it is important to install the glass area to an appropriate level, and control solar radiation and inflow of daylight with blind devices. This study aims to improve the visual performance of the work plane through the automatic control of the venetian blinds. A total of eight kinds of control strategies were chosen; Case 1 does not control the blinds, Case 2 with the blind slats fixed at the angle of 0 degree, Case 3 to 6 using the existing blind control programs, and Case 7 and 8 with improved blind control. Case 3 with 90 degrees had the best energy performance, but the average indoor illuminance was 113lux, which is below the standards. Cases 4 and 5 showed higher levels of interior daylight illuminance with the average of 281lux and 403lux respectively. However, the fixed angles may have difficulties controlling excessive direct sunlight coming into the room and may cause glare. Cases 6 and 7 used sun tracking angle control and cut-off angle control, and the average interior illuminance was measured 250lux and 385lux respectively. Case 8 used the cut-off angle control in an hourly manner, satisfying the standard illuminance of 400lux with an average interior illuminance of 561lux. It was evaluated to be the best method to control direct solar radiation and to guarantee proper level of interior illumination.

분산 IoT센서 기반 실험실 안전관리 시스템 (Distributed IoT Sensor based Laboratory Safety Management System)

  • 최근 실험실에서 사용하는 시약장은 IoT 기반 다양한 센서들을 활용하여 내부 환경을 실시간으로 측정하고 사용자들에게 서비스를 제공한다. 센서 데이터를 수집한 후 서버 내에서 위험상황을 식별하고 기기들에게 동작 명령을 전송하게 된다. 이와 같은 중앙 집중형 관리시스템은 여러 대의 시약장에서 측정되는 센서 데이터들을 전송받고 처리하게 될 경우 시약장의 수가 증가할 때마다 데이터 처리 속도가 점차 증가하게 되는 문제가 발생할 수 있다. 이를 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 중앙 집중형이 아닌 분산 환경에서 시약장 내부 환경을 분석하여 위험상황의 식별 및 기기 제어를 수행할 수 있는 분산 제어가 가능한 분산 IoT 센서 기반 실험실 안전관리 시스템에 대해 연구한다. 이와 같이 분산형 제어가 가능한 센서 모듈을 이용한 시약장 내부 환경 제어 통해 위험상황에 대한 식별 및 대처를 자동으로 진행함으로써 기존의 시약장과 실험실을 관리하는 시스템들보다 신속한 대처 및 안전관리가 이루어졌음을 확인하였다.

  • A mobile robot system is developed to inspect the condition of industrial facilities under hot environment. The mobile robot is equipped with internal and external heat insulating material, an internal cooling mechanism, two CCD cameras, wireless communication devices for both the control and image signals, and an embedded controller. The portable controller is equipped with two joysticks for both the mobile robot and the inspection CCD camera, an LCD monitor, and several buttons. The developed mobile robot travels on the internal floor in hot furnaces by operators' joystick operation, captures the images of facilities in the furnaces using a zoom CCD camera, and sends the images to the portable controller through wireless communication. The mobile robot can be operated without any problem under hot environment less than 400$^{\circ}C$ in 30 minutes. This kind of automatic inspection mobile robot can be helpful to prevent significant troubles of industrial facilities without danger of human beings under harmful environment.

전기제어 설비의 출력 안정화를 위한 가우시안 접근법 (A Gaussian Approach in Stabilizing Outputs of Electrical Control Systems)

  • Sensor readings always have a certain degree of randomness and fuzziness due to its intrinsic property, other electronic devices in the circuitry, wires and the rapidly changing environment. In an electrical control system, such readings will bring instability in the system and other undesired events especially if the signal hovers around the threshold. This paper proposes a Gaussian-based statistical approach in stabilizing the output through sampling the sensor data and automatic tuning the threshold to the range of multiple standard deviations. It takes advantage of the Central limit theorem and its properties assuming that a large number of sensor data samples will eventually converge to a Gaussian distribution. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm in completely stabilizing the outputs over known filtering algorithms like Exponential smoothing and Kalman Filter.

  • Power Quality and reliability are becoming important issues for critical and sensitive loads. The recent growth in the use of impactive and nonlinear loads has caused many power quality problems such as voltage flicks, harmonics and unbalances, which may cause the modem automatic devices to fail, misoperate, or shut down. This paper deals with 7-Level H-Bridge Line-Interactive Dynamic Voltage Restorer (LIDVR) system. It has the power factor near to unity under normal source voltage, can compensate the harmonic current of the load and instant interruption, and has the fast response. Currently, most of the DVR design studies are based on the assumption of the balanced three-phase system. But, actually line fault occurred $1{\phi}\;{sag}\;or\;2{\phi}$ sag. Hence, proposed new control scheme compensate asymmetry input voltage. Finally, simulation results verify the proposed 7-Level H-Bridge LIDVR system.

SCADA RTU 상태이벤트 취득시간 정확도 개선 (An Accuracy Improvement on Acquisition Time of SCADA RTU Status Event)

  • SCADA RTU is a remote control unit equipped in substations for automatic operation of a power system. The RTU monitors and measures the operation status of remote substations to transmits the signals to upper SCADA system and receives control command signals from dispatch center to actuate corresponding apparatus. The RTU receives the standard time from GPS receiver to synchronize the times for all devices and acquires the status event of power apparatus using DIM. Without the time synchronization between GPS and RTU, stable operation of the power system and accurate analysis of the system fault are impossible due to the time error of SOE. In this paper, a test is performed to identify if the operation time of SCADA RTU DIM coincides with the standard time. And we tried to find the reason of error, to minimize the time discrepancy. Through this study, RTU operation time could be synchronized with the standard time within 10[ms] to improve the reliability of SOE data.

  • Nuclear power generations have been developed gradually since 1950. Nowadays, 440 nuclear power generations are taking charge of 16% of electric power production in the world. The most important factor to operate the nuclear power generations is safety. It is not easy way to control nuclear power generations with safety because nuclear power generations are very complicated systems. In the main control room of the nuclear power generations, about 4000 numbers of alarms and monitoring devices are equipped to handle the signals corresponding to operating equipments. Thus, operators have to deal with massive information and to grasp the situation immediately. If they could not achieve these task, then they should make big problem in the power generations Owing to too many variables, operators could be also in the uncontrolled situation. So in this paper, automatic systems to diagnose the fault are constructed using 2 steps neural networks. This diagnosis method is based on the pattern of the principal variables which could represent the type and severity of faults.

  • The study show that things about the noise control are indicated at The Noise & Vibration Control Act and the other Act. Also, the details program and total government ministries' program for the noise control are indicated what are the advance noise control plan. The study consist of the four part which are "Draw up the environmental noise infrastructure plan; the install shall be done the noisemap & the automatic noise measurement devices", "Resetting of environmental noise standard at the application area and Introduce of indoor noise; the guide for region classification of the noise standard & indoor noise", "Setting of aircraft noise standard and Program of measurement point operation; the noise-assessment-standard shall change from WECPN to new index($L_{den}$, $L_{dn}$, $L_{Aeq\;24h}$) & the operation and control of aircraft noise measurement changes from local environmental office to central control center" and "The method of noise regulation at construction site and the plan on making of standard for vibration regulation; It shall be made that the guideline of construction noise should include a target-construction, noise standard etc & the ministries shall unify control about construction vibration of the blasting vibration". The advance noise-policy will improve efficiency to deal with civil appeal & damage on residents about noise.
