We study theoretical aspects of one-dimensional cellular automata over GF(q), where q is a power of a prime. Some results about the characteristic polynomials of such cellular automata are given. Intermediate boundary cellular automata are defined and related to the more common null boundary cellular automata.

본 논문은 Cellular Automata 기초로 형성된 stream cipher에 대해 원리를 분석하였다. 원래 Cellular Automata는 State, Neighborhood, Transition Rules이라는 단순한 특징을 가지고 복잡하고 다양한 원리를 구현할 수 있다. 즉 Cellular Automata는 transition nile를 이용하여 암호화를 원활하게 처리할 수 있다는 것을 암시하고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 Cellular Automata의 transition rule 30 적용으로 binary pad(key stream)을 생성하고, 암호 분류 중 symmetric key encryption 방식의 stream cipher를 이용하여 encryption 및 decryption의 능력을 실험하였다.

We show that all automata in a. certain natural class satisfy three semisimplicity properties and describe all languages recognized by these automata.

We consider a possible generalization of nondeterministic finite automata. The goals of this consideration are: to apply some obtained algorithms for various problems of minimization of classical nondeterministic automata; to use such automata for describing practical anytime algorithms for the same problems of minimization; to simplify some proofs for algorithms of simplification for usual nondeterministic automata.

본 논문은 Cellular Automata의 이론적 원리를 체계적으로 분석하였다. 특히 Cellular Automata는 transition rule를 이용하여 다양한 형태의 기능을 처리할 수 있다는 것을 암시하고 있다. Cellular Automata는 State, Neighborhood, Program Rules이라는 단순한 특징을 가지고 다양하고 복잡한 원리를 구현할 수 있다. 특히 영상 처리 분야에서 뛰어난 인식력을 가지고 있다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 Cellular Automata를 이용하여 영상처리에서 중요한 Edge Detection을 시도하여 그 능력이 뛰어남을 규명하였다.

Cellular Automata는 자연계의 현상 현상이 국부적인 관계에 의해 완전히 표현될 수 있는 이상적인 동적 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 Cellular Automata의 특성을 가지는 Potts Automata를 이용한 잡음 제거 및 에지 추출 알고리즘을 제안한다. 본 방법은 대상영상에 대한 특징을 그대로 보존하면서 천이규칙에 따라 국부적으로 밝기값의 차이를 증가 및 감소시킨다. 이러한 Automata는 순차적이고 병렬적인 움직임을 가지고 Lyapunov 함수를 만족한다. 제안한 천이규칙은 랜덤잡음을 가진 대상영상에 대해 빠른 수련속도를 가지고 안정적인 결과를 나타낸다. 실험을 통해 본 방법의 유효성을 확인한다.

A parallel communicating automata system is an accepting device based on the communications between more automata working in parallel. It consists of several automata corking independently but communicating with each other by request. We survey several variants of parallel communicating automata systems with respect to their computational power. Other aspects like decidability and complexity matters are also briefly discussed. Some open problem sand directions for future research are finally pointed out.

Cellular automata are discrete dynamical systems whose behaviour is completely specified in terms of a local relation. If cellular automata convergence to fixed points, then it can be used to image processing. From the generalized Potts automata point of view, we propose in this paper a cellular automata technique for reducing image noise. To minimize blurring effect, an algorithm based on neighborhood median computation is Preferred. Experimental results are reported.

We investigate the relationship between the 0-tree and other trees in linear nongroup cellular automata. And we show that given a 0-basic path of 0-tree and a nonzero attractor ${\alpha}$ of a multiple attractor linear cellulara automata with two predecessor we construct an ${\alpha}$-tree of that multiple attractor linear cellular automata.

In [1], they build two populations' cellular automata model with predation based on the Penna model. In this paper, uncertain aspects and problems of imprecise and vague data are considered in this model. A fuzzy cellular automata model containing movable wolves and sheep has been built. The results show that the fuzzy cellular automata can simulate the classical CA model and can deal with imprecise and vague data.
