A Study on the System Identification for Detection of Tool Breakage (공구파손검출을 위한 시스템인식에 관한 연구)

  • The demands for robotic and automatic system are continually increasing in manufacturing fields. There have been many studies to monitor and predict the system, but they have mainly focused upon measuring cutting force, and current of motor spindle, and upon using acoustic sensor, etc. In this study, time series sequence of cutting force was acquired by taking advantage of piezoelectric type tool dynamometer. Radial cutting force was obtained from it and was available for useful observation data. The parameter was estimated using PAA(parameter adaptation algorithm) from observation data. ARMA(auto regressive moving average) model was selected for system model and second order was decided according to parameter estimation. Uncorrelation test was also carried out to verify convergence of parameter.

  • This paper presents a study on successive approximation measurement of mechanical parameters for motor control system. At the first step of servo system installation, control system gain tuning is troublesome work. Recently, auto-tuning method of motion controller for motor drive system is based on parameter measurement and identification. On the case of first order mechanical system (mechanical parameters are modified by simple inertia and friction), it is necessary for good response to get the accurate measurement or identification of the mechanical parameters. In this paper, novel method applies the binary successive approximation measurement to the inertia and friction coefficient. Computer simulation and experiment for the proposed method will show verification of accuracy and usefulness.

In this study, the structure and principle, operation mode and middleware of library RFID system are reviewed in detail, Finally this paper analyzed and proposed the RFID applications that could be efficient to information management and user service of library and the major problems and improvements of library RFID system.

  • This paper studies the identification of a combustion model, which is used to design a linear controller of a steam generation quantity and harmful exhaust gases of a Refuse Incineration Plant(RIP). Even though the RIP has strong nonlinearities and complexities, it is identified as a MIMO parametric ARX model from experimental input-output data sets. Unknown model parameters are decided from experimental input-output data sets, using system identification algorithm based on Instrumental Variables(IV) method. It is shown that the identified model well approximates the input-output combustion characteristics.

Automated Vinyl Green House Identification Method Using Spatial Pattern in High Spatial Resolution Imagery (공간패턴을 이용한 자동 비닐하우스 추출방법)

  • This paper introduces a novel approach for automated mapping of a map feature that is vinyl green house in high spatial resolution imagery Some map features have their unique spatial patterns. These patterns are normally detected in high spatial resolution remotely sensed data by human recognition system. When spatial patterns can be applied to map feature identification, it will improve image classification accuracy and will be contributed a lot to feature identification. In this study, an automated feature identification approach using spatial aucorrelation is developed, specifically for the vinyl green house that has distinctive spatial pattern in its array. The algorithm aimed to develop the method without any human intervention such as digitizing. The method can investigate the characteristics of repeated spatial pattern of vinyl green house. The repeated spatial pattern comes from the orderly array of vinyl green house. For this, object-based approaches are essential because the pattern is recognized when the shapes that are consists of the groups of pixels are involved. The experimental result shows very effective vinyl house extraction. The targeted three vinyl green houses were exactly identified in the IKONOS image for a part of Jeju area.

  • The application area based on UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) is continuously increasing as time passing by. In particular the UAVs which consist of more than four horizontal propellers and the functionality of VTOL (Vertical Take-Off and Landing) are utilized in diverse platforms and the application products due to their safety and aerodynamically simpler design and architectures. The most UAV missions are controlled by GCSs (Ground Control System). The GCSs are generally connected to the internet and get electrical map and environmental information such as temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction and so on. In this paper, we design a system for UAV system to have capability of approaching to a certain ship and monitoring her efficiently by using AIS (Auto Identification System) information. Furthermore we verify that adapting AIS on GCS side is more efficient through experiments.

A Driving Method and Precise Repetitive Control of BLDC Motor (BLDC 모터의 구동방법과 정밀 반복제어)

  • This paper describes a fully digitalized driver for BLDC motors which is realized by a single chip microprocessor. The speed change can be done by using the signal obtained from the position detecting sensor and adjusting the pulse width at the input channel of power module. In order to establish a speed control system a repetitive control method is adopted to track a periodic refer-ence change in the BLDC motor system. The experimental results show accurate reference track-ing performance under the given periodic reference in the repetitive controller design.

  • For the implementation of a RFID system, an anti-collision algorithm is required to identify multiple tags within the range of a RFID Reader. A Bit-by-Bit algorithm is defined by Auto ID Class 0. In this paper, we propose a SBBB(Stack Bit-by-Bit) algorithm. The SBBB algorithm save the collision position and makes a query using the saved data. SBBB improve the efficiency of collision resolution. We show the performance of the SBBB algorithm by simulation. The performance of the proposed algorithm is higher than that of BBB algorithm. Especially, the more each tag bit streams are the duplicate, the higher performance is.

STAC/PS Algorithm with Tag Grouping by Transmission Power Control (송신 전력 제어에 의한 태그 그룹화 방법을 적용한 STAC/PS 알고리즘)

  • The PS algorithm divides the tags within the identification range of reader into smaller groups by increasing the transmission power incrementally and identifies them. In 13.56MHz RFID system of Auto-ID center, STAC protocol is defined as an anti-collision algorithm for multiple tag reading. In this paper, we propose a STAC/PS algorithm that the PS algorithm is applied in the STAC protocol. The simulation results show that the STAC/PS algorithm can achieve faster tag identification speed compared with STAC protocol due to the low collision rate.
