  • The study of the isolative determination of the mixed weak bases of INAH and NA-Pas potentimetrically considering the properties of solvents for the INAH and Na-PAS, dielectric constant and solvative properties of solvents are described. The methanol: dioxan (4:1) and glacial acetic acid: dioxan (4:1) are studied first as the mixed solvent, using the N/10 perchloric acid and glacial acetic acid solution as the titrant. The authors found that there is no inflection on INAH with the methanol: dioxan solvent system and on Na-PAS at glacial acetic acid dioxan solvent system. By applying methanol glacial acetic acid dioxan (1:1:1) solvent system, Na-PAS and INAH were successfully determined isolatively from the mixed sample, showing the distinguished inflections respectively as shown in the titration curves in figures 3 and 4. It is found that this method could save considerable time for the isolative determination of the mixed sample of week bases as Na PAS and INHA which were quite difficult to be determined by the present routine at control laboratory.

  • For rheology investigation of lubricating oils, first phase diagrams were made from determined free volume based on density measurements and the temperature-pressure relation was estimated using the expansion coefficient of free volume and the temperature-pressure relation of the viscoelastic transition point. Next, the authors proposed the density-pressure-temperature relation and the viscosity-pressure-temperature relation of the tested oils based on the free volume and the phase diagrams. Moreover, it was shown that the Ehrenfest equation or the gradient of the phase diagram is closely related to the expansion coefficient of free volume.

  • Energy distribution function for electrons in $SF_6$-Ar mixtures gas used by MCS-BEq algorithm has been analysed over the E/N range 30${\sim}$300(Td) by a two term Boltzmann equation and by a Monte Carlo Simulation using a set of electron cross sections determined by other authors, experimentally the electron swarm parameters for 0.2(%) and 0.5(%) $SF_6$-Ar mixtures were measured by time-of-flight(TOF) method, The results show that the deduced longitudinal diffusion coefficients and transverse diffusion coefficients agree reasonably well with theoretical for a rang of E/N values The results obtained from Boltzmann equation method and Monte Carlo simulation have been compared with present and previously obtained data and respective set of electron collision cross sections of the molecules.

  • Accoring to many studies which concerned with the types of folk houses, there are many types of folk houses in Korean peninsula and its areal distribution had been determined by the barrier of mountains, in general. But we have neglected to examine the overlapped areal distribution still now. If two types of culture with different housing type contact at one region, it may interrelated each other and invent certain exclusive charicteristics. And there are its own attitude of traditional culture in Kyung-buk provingce where serveral types of folk houses settled together. The purpose of this research is to clarify the general pattern of culture in terms of folk houses in northern Kyung-buk province and to suggest a clue to solve the cultural inter-relationship each other, By classification of the collected plans in this area, the authors try to find out the charicteristics of the serveral types and there areal distribution. Finally, we can find out that certain types of folk houses located in northern Kyung-buk province had formed their cultural regions and these homogeneous regions are overlapped, partly.

  • The electron energy distributions function were analysed in sulphur hexaflouride at E/N : 500~800(Td) for a case of non-equilibrium ion in the mean electron energy. This paper describes the electron transport characteristics in SF$_{6}$ gas calculated for range of E/N values from 150~800(Td) by the Monte Carlo simulation and Boltzmann equation method using a set of electron collision cross sections determined by the authors and the values of electron swarm parameters. The results gained that the value of an electron swarm parameter such as the electron drift velocity, the electron ionization or attachment coefficients, longitudinal and transverse diffusion coefficients agree with the experimental and theoretical for a range of E/N. • The navigation problem of robot is one of the main themes to deal with conficts or interferences between obstacles and the robot itself In this case, while the robot avoids obstacles on the space, the passage route should be determined efficiently. In order to solve problems above, we have come up with the distance field space medel (DFM) and then, under known environment, we have presented the distance field A algorithm for passage route path search. In this research, the method of performing the 3-dimensional passage route path search of robot under unknown environment is proposed. It is shown that the authors can build the distance search model the does not need space division by taking into account of sensor information to a distance field space model, and constructing this information as virtual obstacle information.

  • Because of simplicity and easiness, dynamic pile driving formulae have long been used by most of the field engineers for pile quality control purposes. Yet their reliability have been repeatedly reported unsuitable and the results can lead to significant errors. According to the research results by the authors, the two most important sources of unreliability of dynamic pile driving formulae are uncertainty in the estimation of hammer efficiency and time dependent characteristics of pile bearing capacity. Based on this finding a new method is proposed. By using the actual value of hammer efficiency the pile bearing capacity at the time of driving could be reasonably estimated. By performing restrike test sometime after pile installation, time effect coefficient could be determined. The effectiveness of the proposed method was proven in the actual construction project.

  • This paper describes the results of a basic study (on a model samples) for the development of 22.9 kV high temperature superconducting (HTS) cable. The authors have established that the factors that decide the performance of HTS cables are butt gaps in tape insulation and carbon particles from semiconductive layer. The insulation performance of HTS cables is determined by size and quality of these elements. In the model tests of HTS cables, the minimum PD inception stress of the tape insulation impregnated with liquid nitrogen was found and insulation thickness was calculated from this result.

  • To determine Pb level in blood, we usually .used to pull out about 5ml blood from venous vessel and this sample was digested with acids to decompose organic matter and then determined the Pb contents by Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer with flame. But recent trend in quan titating Pb in small amount of sample is very much recommended in clinical chemistry specially pediatrics, and industrial hygiene and occupational health area. Authors tried to determine Pb contents in small amount blood of $25{\mu}l$ by using capillary tube method and got the possibility of determination of ng amount of Pb in $25{\mu}l$ whole blood sample without any pretreatment of sample.
