  • Database outsourcing is unavoidable in the near future. In the scenario of data stream outsourcing, the data owner continuously publishes the latest data and associated authentication information through a service provider. Clients may register queries to the service provider and verify the result's correctness, utilizing the additional authentication information. Research on On-line Stream Analytics (OLSA) is motivated by extending the data cube technology for higher multi-level abstraction on the low-level-abstracted data streams. Existing work on OLSA fails to consider the issue of database outsourcing, while previous work on stream authentication does not support OLSA. To close this gap and solve the problem of OLSA query authentication while outsourcing data streams, we propose MDAHRB and MDAHB, two multi-dimensional authentication approaches. They are based on the general data model for OLSA, the stream cube. First, we improve the data structure of the H-tree, which is used to store the stream cube. Then, we design and implement two authentication schemes based on the improved H-trees, the HRB- and HB-trees, in accordance with the main stream query authentication framework for database outsourcing. Along with a cost models analysis, consistent with state-of-the-art cost metrics, an experimental evaluation is performed on a real data set. It exhibits that both MDAHRB and MDAHB are feasible for authenticating OLSA queries, while MDAHRB is more scalable.

  • Nowadays, most users access internet through mobile applications. The common way to authenticate users through websites forms is using passwords; while they are efficient procedures, they are subject to guessed or forgotten and many other problems. Additional multi modal authentication procedures are needed to improve the security. Behavioral authentication is a way to authenticate people based on their typing behavior. It is used as a second factor authentication technique beside the passwords that will strength the authentication effectively. Keystroke dynamic rhythm is one of these behavioral authentication methods. Keystroke dynamics relies on a combination of features that are extracted and processed from typing behavior of users on the touched screen and smart mobile users. This Research presents a novel analysis in the keystroke dynamic authentication field using two features categories: timing and no timing combined features. The proposed model achieved lower error rate of false acceptance rate with 0.1%, false rejection rate with 0.8%, and equal error rate with 0.45%. A comparison in the performance measures is also given for multiple datasets collected in purpose to this research.

  • With the development of the Internet, user authentication technology that proves me online is improving. Existing ID methods pose a threat of personal information leakage if the service provider manages personal information and security is weak, and the information subject is to the service provider. In this study, as online identification technology develops, we propose a DID-based self-authentication model to prevent the threat of leakage of personal information from a centralized format and strengthen sovereignty. The proposed model allows users to directly manage personal information and strengthen their sovereignty over information topics through VC issued by the issuing agency. As a research method, a self-authentication model that guarantees security and integrity is presented using a decentralized identifier method based on distributed ledger technology, and the security of the attack method is analyzed. Because it authenticates through DID Auth using public key encryption algorithms, it is safe from sniffing, man in the middle attack, and the proposed model can replace real identity card.

  • Medical information is an important personal information for patients, and it must be protected. In particular, when medical personnel approach electronic medical records, authentication for enhanced security is essential. However, the existing public certificate-based certification model did not reflect the security characteristics of the electronic medical record(EMR) due to problems such as personal key management and authority delegation. In this study, we propose a fingerprint recognition-based authentication model with enhanced security to solve problems in the approach of the existing electronic medical record system. The proposed authentication model is an EMR system based on fingerprint recognition using PEMS (Private-key Escrow Management Server), which is applied with the private key commission protocol and the private key withdrawal protocol, enabling the problem of personal key management and authority delegation to be resolved at source. The performance experiment of the proposed certification model confirmed that the performance time was improved compared to the existing public certificate-based authentication, and the user's convenience was increased by recognizing fingerprints by replacing the electronic signature password.

  • Recently, environment based authentication technique had proposed reinforced authentication, which generating statistical model per user after user login history classifies into account takeover or legitimate login. But reinforced authentication is likely to be attacked if user was not attacked in past. To improve this problem in this paper, we propose unconsciousness authentication technique that generates 2-Class user model, which trains user's environmental information and others' one using machine learning algorithms. To evaluate performance of proposed technique, we performed evasion attacks: non-knowledge attacker that does not know any information about user, and sophisticated attacker that only knows one information about user. Experimental results against non-knowledge attacker show that precision and recall of Class 0 were measured as 1.0 and 0.998 respectively, and experimental results against sophisticated attacker show that precision and recall of Class 0 were measured as 0.948 and 0.998 respectively.

  • In this paper, we improved a cryptography system model based on the secure initial authentication public key with PKINIT of authentication and key recovery protocol. It is applied to all fields of cryptography system using certificate. This study presents two mechanisms to authenticate between member users. The first mechanism is initial authentication and distribution of session key by public key cryptography based on certificate between entity and server, and the second mechanism is a key recovery support protocol considering loss of session key in the secure communication between application servers.

  • In digital contents distribution environments, a user authentication is an important security primitive to allow only authenticated user to use right services by checking the validity of membership. For example, in Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) environments, it is required to provide an access control according to the policy of content provider. Remote user authentication and key agreement scheme is used to validate the contents accessibility of a user. We propose a novel user authentication scheme using smart cards providing a secure access to multimedia contents service. Each user is authenticated using a subset of attributes which are issued in the registration phase without revealing individual's identity. Our scheme provides the anonymous authentication and the various permissions according to the combination of attributes which are assigned to each user. In spite of more functionality, the result of performance analysis shows that the computation and communication cost is very low. Using this scheme, the security of contents distribution environments in the client-server model can be significantly improved.

  • To slove the security and efficiency problem of anonymous authentication in vehicular ad-hoc network (VANET), we adopt the bilinear pairing theory to propose an identity-based batch anonymous authentication scheme for VANET. The tamper-proof device in the on-board unit and the trusted authority jointly realize the anonymity of vehicle identity and the signature of messages, which further enhances the security of this scheme, as well as reduces the overhead of trusted authority. Batch authentication can improve the efficiency of anonymous authentication for VANET. Security and efficiency analyses demonstrate that this scheme not only satisfies such security properties as anonymity, non-forgeability and non-repudiation, but also has advantage in time and space complexity. Simulation results show that this scheme can achieve good performance in real-time VANET communication.

  • With the growth of financial industry with smartphone, interest on user authentication using smartphone has been arisen in these days. There are various type of biometric user authentication techniques, but gait recognition using accelerometer sensor in smartphone does not seem to develop remarkably. This paper suggests the method of user authentication using accelerometer sensor embedded in smartphone. Specifically, calibrate the sensor data from smartphone with 3D-transformation, extract features from transformed data and do principle component analysis, and learn model with using gaussian mixture model. Next, authenticate user data with confidence interval of GMM model. As result, proposed method is capable of user authentication with accelerometer sensor on smartphone as a high degree of accuracy(about 96%) even in the situation that environment control and limitation are minimum on the research.

  • In next generation wireless networks, an application must be capable of rating service information in real-time and prior to initiation of the service it is necessary to check whether the end user's account provides coverage for the requested service. However, to provide prepaid services effectively, credit-control should have minimal latency. In an endeavor to support real-time credit-control for Mobile IPv6 (MIPv6), we design an implementation architecture model of credit-control authorization. The proposed integrated model combines a typical credit-control authorization procedure into the MIPv6 authentication procedure. We implement it on a single server for minimal latency. Thus, the server can perform credit-control authorization and MIPv6 authentication simultaneously. Implementation details are described as software blocks and units. In order to verify the feasibility of the proposed model. latency of credit-control authorization is measured according to various Extensible Authentication Protocol (EAP) authentication mechanisms. The performance results indicate that the proposed approach has considerably low latency compared with the existing separated models, in which credit-control authorization is separated from the MIPv6 authentication.
