In this paper, we propose a password-based authenticated key exchange protocol which authenticates each other and shares a session key using only a small memorable password between a client and a server over an insecure channel. The proposed protocol allows an authenticated client to freely change a his/her own password. The protocol is also secure against various attacks and provides the perfect forward secrecy. Furthermore, it has good efficiency compared with the previously well-known password-based protocols with the same security requirements.

본 논문에서는 이러한 패스워드 기반의 키 분배 프로토콜 중 BPKA(Balanced Password-authenticated Key Agreement)에 속하는 DH-EKE(Diffie-Hellman Encrypted Key Exchange), PAK(Password-Authenticated Key exchange), SPEKE(Simple Password Exponential Key Exchange) 프로토콜을 비교 분석하고, 이를 바탕으로 기존의 BPKA 프로토콜에 비해 적은 연산량을 가지면서 사용자와 서버가 각기 다른 정보를 갖는 패스워드-검증자 기반 프로토콜을 제안한다.

As a result of the increased popularity of group oriented applications, the design of an efficient authenticated group key agreement protocol has received a lot of attention. Lee et al. proposed a tree-based group key agreement protocol, which applies a ternary key tree structure and pairing-based cryptography to the key agreement of Dynamic Peer Group. In their protocol, only the group sponsor knows all member's session random keys computes all blinded keys. In addition, when the group sponsor leaves a group, all nodes of the tree should be changed. In this paper, we present the modified protocol that has several sponsors. Since a secret value for each member isn't given to the group sponsor, the key renewing of our protocol is more secure and efficient than that of Lee et al.'s protocol in the previous case. Therefore, our protocol is suitable to Dynamic Peer Groups.
The purpose of the multiple key agreement protocol is to get efficiency in computational and communicational aspects compared to multiple executions of single key agreement protocol. However ID based tripartite multiple key agreement protocols have been proposed, it is reported that they can not resist unknown key-share attack or impersonation attack. How to design a secure and efficient ID-based authenticated tripartite multiple key agreement scheme to prevent all kinds of attacks remains an open problem. This paper proposes a multiple key agreement scheme combing the existing single key agreement protocol with a key derivation function. The proposed scheme can not only increase computational efficiency compared to the existing multiple key agreement protocol, but can ensure security of the proposed schemes by using a security proofed single key agreement protocol and key derivation function.
Key agreement protocol is a fundamental protocol in cryptography whereby two or more participants can agree on a common conference key in order to communicate securely among themselves. In this situation, the participants can securely send and receive messages with each other. An adversary not having access to the conference key will not be able to decrypt the messages. In this paper, we propose a novel identity-based authenticated multi user key agreement protocol employing a symmetric balanced incomplete block design. Our protocol is built on elliptic curve cryptography and takes advantage of a kind of bilinear map called Weil pairing. The protocol presented can provide an identification (ID)-based authentication service and resist different key attacks. Furthermore, our protocol is efficient and needs only two rounds for generating a common conference key. It is worth noting that the communication cost for generating a conference key in our protocol is only O($\sqrt{n}$) and the computation cost is only O($nm^2$), where $n$ implies the number of participants and m denotes the extension degree of the finite field $F_{p^m}$. In addition, in order to resist the different key attack from malicious participants, our protocol can be further extended to provide the fault tolerant property.

Joux's tripartite key agreement protocol is one of the most prominent developments in the area of key agreement. Although certificate-based and ID-based authentication schemes have been proposed to provide authentication for Joux's protocol, no provably secure password-based one round tripartite key agreement protocol has been proposed yet. We propose a secure one round password-based tripartite key agreement protocol that builds on Joux's protocol and adapts PAK-EC scheme for password-based authentication, and present a proof of its security.

To date, most identity-based key agreement protocols are based on a single PKG (Private Key Generator) environment. In 2002, Chen and Kudla proposed an identity-based key agreement protocol for a multiple PKG environment, where each PKG shares identical system parameters but possesses distinct master key. However, it is more realistic to assume that each PKG uses different system parameters including the PKG's master key. In this paper, we propose a new two party key agreement protocol between users belonging to different PKGs that do not share system parameters. We also extend this protocol to two types of tripartite key agreement protocols. We show that our two party protocol requires minimal amount of pairing computation for a multiple PKG environment and our tripartite protocol is more efficient than existing protocols. We also show that the proposed key agreement protocols satisfy every security requirements of key agreement protocol.

Over the years, more password-based authentication key agreement schemes using chaotic maps were susceptible to attack by off-line password guess attack. This work approaches this problem by a new method--new theorem of chaotic maps: $T_{a+b}(X)+T_{a-b}(X)=2T_a(X)T_b(X)$,(a>b). In fact, this method can be used to design two-party, three-party, even in N-party intelligently. For the sake of brevity and readability, only a two-party instance: a novel Two-party Password-Authenticated Key Agreement Protocol is proposed for resisting password guess attack in this work. Compared with the related literatures recently, our proposed scheme can be not only own high efficiency and unique functionality, but is also robust to various attacks and achieves perfect forward secrecy. For capturing improved ratio of security and efficiency intuitively, the paper firstly proposes a new parameter called security/efficiency ratio(S/E Ratio). The higher the value of the S/E Ratio, the better it is. Finally, we give the security proof and the efficiency analysis of our proposed scheme.

Many conference systems over the Internet require authenticated group key agreement (AGKA) for secure and reliable communication. After Shamir [1] proposed the ID-based cryptosystem in 1984, ID-based AGKA protocols have been actively studied because of the simple public key management. In 2006, Zhou et al. [12] proposed two-round ID-based AGKA protocol which is very efficient in communication and computation complexity. However, their protocol does not provide user identification and suffers from the impersonation attack by malicious participants. In this paper, we propose improved ID-based AGKA protocol to prevent impersonation attack from Zhou et al.'s protocol. In our protocol, the malicious insider cannot impersonate another participants even if he knows the ephemeral group secret value. Moreover, our protocol reduces the computation cost from Zhou et al.'s protocol.

In this paper, we propose an EC-SRP(Elliptic Curve - Secure Remote Password) protocol that uses ECDLP(Elliptic Curve Discrete Logarithm Problem) instead SRP protocols’s DLP. Since EC-SRP uses ECDLP, it inherits the high performance and security those are the properties of elliptic curve. And we reduced the number of elliptic curve scalar multiplication to improve EC-SRP protocol’s performance. Also we have proved BC-SRP protocol is a secure AKC(Authenticated Key Agreement with Key Confirmation) protocol in a random oracle model.
