This paper presents the design and implementation of a QoS based enhanced collaboration system in MDO. This is an efficient distributed communication tool between designers. It supports text communication, audio/video communication, file transfer and XML data sending/receiving. Specially, this system supports a dynamic QoS self-adaptation by using the improved direct adjustment algorithm (DAA+). The original direct adjustment algorithm adjusts the transmission rate according to the congestion level of the network, based on the end to end real time transport protocol (RTP), and controls the transmission rate by using the information of loss ratio in real time transport control protocol (RTCP). But the direct adjustment algorithm does not consider when the RTCP packets are lost. We suggest an improved direct adjustment algorithm to solve this problem. We apply our improved direct adjustment algorithm to our of QoS (Quality of Service) [1] based collaboration system and show the improved performance of transmission rate and loss ratio.

본 논문에서는 무선 랜 기반의 유무선 통합서비스 사업을 위해 동영상 멀티미디어 컨텐츠를 포함한 멀티미디어 메시징 서비스를 제공하기 위해 자바와 자바 3차원 기반의 MPEG-4 표준 규약에 충실한 MPEG-4 시스템 구현에 관한 것이며, 이를 위해 MPEG-4 시스템 구현에 필요한 기술, 유무선 통합 멀티미디어 서비스의 정의, DMIF 구현 및 mp4 파일 파싱 등의 구체적인 MPEG-4 시스템 구현 방법 등을 기술한다.

The second-generation mobile instant messaging (SMIM) proliferates with various relationship management functions: group chats, audio/video chats, file sharing, real-time location sharing, and nonverbal graphics, such as emojis and stickers. This study integrates the important but often overlooked affordances theory into innovation diffusion and proposes an SMIM continuance intention model. SMIM is a social affordance platform for users to develop new friendships and maintain their relationships. Integrated diffusion of innovation and affordance theoretical frameworks, this study investigates the influence of four factors on the success of using SMIM apps to improve friendship development and relationship management. Data were collected from 231 participants using a survey questionnaire in a public university in Taiwan. The findings confirm the effects of friendship development and relationship maintenance on the intention of users to continue using SMIM apps. Implications for research and practice are discussed.

최근 MPEG-A(ISO/IEC 23000)에서는 MAF(Multimedia Application File Format)[1]라는 새로운 멀티미디어 파일 포맷을 제안하고 있다. MAF 파일포맷은 기존의 MPEG 압축 규격을 갖는 미디어 파일에 더해, 미디어 내용 정보를 기술하는 메타데이타를 MPEG-7을 사용하여 하나의 시스템 포맷 내에 포함할 수 있도록 해준다. 하지만 현재로서는 이러한 표준을 구현한 실제 시스템이 없기 때문에, 응용 측면에서 MAF가 얼마나 유용한지 검증하기 어렵다는 문제점을 가지고 있다. 본 논문에서는 PC와 모바일 단말기상에서 MPEG-A 표준을 기반으로 한 멀티미디어 검색 시스템을 설계 및 구현한다. 또한 MPEG-A에서는 아직 동영상에 관련된 메타데이타에 대해서는 제안된 바가 없기 때문에 MPEG-7 MDS(Multimedia Description Scheme)[2]와 TV-Anytime[3]을 기반으로 모바일 환경에서도 저작 및 사용하기 편리한 메타데이타들을 설계한다. 전체 시스템을 설계하기 위해서 MAF 검색 시스템이 가져야 할 5가지 요구사항인 이식성, 확장성, 호환성, 적응성, 효율성을 정의하고 이러한 요구사항을 바탕으로 하여 MAF 검색 시스템의 전체 구조를 응용 계층, 미들웨어 계층, 플랫폼 계층으로 설계한다. 제안하는 검색 시스템은 MAF 형식의 멀티미디어 데이타를 저작, 재생, 검색할 수 있는 클라이언트 파트와, 대용량의 MAF 형식의 멀티미디어 파일과 MAF 파일로부터 추출한 MPEG-7 형태의 메타데이타를 저장, 관리할 수 있는 서버 파트로 구성된다. 그리고 설계한 MAF 검색 시스템의 유용성을 검증하기 위하여, PC에서는 MS 윈도우 플랫폼 그리고 모바일 단말기에서는 WIPI 플랫폼 상에서 클라이언트 시스템을 구현하고 시스템 요구사항들을 모두 만족하는지 여부를 확인한다. 제안하는 검색 시스템은 MPEG-A 표준을 검증하고 그 유용성을 확인하기 위해 사용될 수 있다.

스테가노그래피(Steganography)란 다양한 멀티미디어 파일에 비밀 메시지를 숨기는 은닉 기법을 말하며, 스테가노그래피 기반의 은닉 통신을 할 때 송신자와 수신자 외에 제 3자는 통신 메시지에 은닉 정보의 존재 여부를 식별하기 매우 어렵다는 장점으로 인해 사이버범죄와 공격에 많이 악용되고 있다. 봇넷은 일반적으로 봇마스터, 봇, 그리고 C&C(Command & Control) 서버로 구성되고 봇마스터에 의해 통제되는 네트워크이며, 중앙집중형, 분산형(P2P), 그리고 하이브리드형 등 다양한 구조를 갖고 있다. 최근에는 봇넷의 은닉성을 강화하기 위해 SNS 플랫폼을 C&C 서버 대신 활용하고 스테가노그래피 기법을 적용하여 C&C 통신을 수행하는 스테고 봇넷(Stego Botnet)에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으나, 이미지 또는 비디오 매체 위주의 스테고 봇넷 기법들이 연구되어왔다. 한편, SNS 상에서는 다양한 음원 및 녹음 파일 등과 같은 오디오 파일 역시 활발히 공유되고 있어 오디오 스테가노그래피 기반의 스테고 봇넷에 대한 연구가 필요하다. 따라서, 본 연구에서는 텔레그램 메신저(Telegram Messenger)에서 오디오 파일을 커버 매체로 하고 스테기노그래피 기법을 활용하여 C&C 은닉 통신을 수행하는 스테고 봇넷을 설계 및 구축하고 실험을 통해 파일 형식별, 툴별 은닉용량에 대해 비교 분석한 결과를 제시한다.

EXT3NS 파일 시스템은 Network-Storage Card(NS 카드)라는 전용 하드웨어를 기반으로 하는 멀티미디어 스트리밍 서버를 위한 파일 시스템이다. EXT3NS는 NS 카드 상의 PCI memory(PMEM)를 이용, 스트리밍 시 디스크에 있는 데이터를 메인 메모리를 거치지 않고 바로 네트워크 카드로 내보냄으로써 스트리밍 서버의 성능을 향상시킨다. 본 논문에서는 NS 카드에 있는 PMEM을 기반으로 한 버퍼 캐시를 추가 설계, 구현하고, 이 버퍼 캐시가 EXT3NS 파일 시스템을 채용한 서버의 멀티미디어 스트리밍의 성능을 개선시킬 수 있음을 보인다. 또한, 제안된 버퍼 캐시 상에서 다수의 동시 사용자를 지원하는 멀티 미디어 스트리 밍 서버를 위한 버퍼 캐시 교체 정책인 Old New Section(ONS) 교체 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 OSN 교체 기법은 멀티미디어 스트리밍 환경에서 기존의 교체 정책들 보다 좋은 성능을 보인다. 성능 평가 결과, 다시 읽기동작과 무작위 읽기 동작에서 기존의 EXT3NS 파일 시스템 보다 PMEM에 캐시를 사용한 EXT3NS가 각각 평균 33MB/sec, 2.4MB/sec의 성능이 향상 되었다. 또한, 다시 읽기 동작의 경우 기존의 Least Frequently Used(LFU) 교체 정 책을 사용한 경우보다 ONS 교체 정책을 사용한 경우가 약 600KB/sec의 성능 증가를 보인다. 이러한 결과는 동시에 여러명의 사용자 요구를 처리해야 하는 대용량 멀티 미디어 스트리밍 서버에서 보다 효과적인 읽기 동작을 처리할 수 있음을 나타낸다.

인터넷 전화는 IP 기반 인터넷에서 VoIP(Voice over IP) 기술을 이용해서 음성 전화를 지원하는 인터넷 서비스다. 인터넷 전화는 영상통화, 메시징과 같은 인터넷 멀티미디어 서비스를 융합한 음성전화 서비스를 지원할 수 있는 장점을 갖고 있다. 특히 스마트폰을 통한 인터넷 소셜 네트워크 서비스가 보급되면서 기존의 전화망을 대체하는 서비스로써 인터넷 전화에 대한 연구와 개발이 활발히 진행되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 SIP(Session Initiation Protocol) 기반 인터넷 전화의 음성 통화 내용을 녹취하는 시스템의 설계 및 구현에 대해 설명한다. 인터넷 전화 녹취 시스템은 리눅스 기반으로 양방향 음성 스트림을 믹싱하는 기능, 라이브 패킷 스니핑 기능, 녹취 음성 파일 송신 기능은 공개 소프트웨어를 사용해서 구현하였다. 향후 개발된 시스템은 VoIP 기반 콜센터 시스템 등과 같은 복합 시스템을 구축하는데 있어 기반 기술로 활용될 계획이다.

Recent activation of DMB has enabled various high quality video, audio and data services. And there are various user facilities functions using digital data transmission. One of the various user facilities functions is EPG(Electronic Program Guide). EPG supports schedule of programs on screen for. audiences. EPG is composed to time, title, channel, genre etc. Users can select a program what they want to browsing. Currently EPG services are displaying program schedule on screen visually and make users to input ke:ywords with keypads, remote control devices or touch screen etc. However, this approach could cause a serious restriction to some users like to drivers or visually handicapped persons. A standard for a voice EPG to T-DMB is proposed. This method must be transferred VoiceXML based EPG files from the transmitter to receivers. This approach has a problem to process a standardization because the transmitter and receivers should be modified. We proposed and implemented a voice EPG platform that generates the voice EPG files from T-DMB SI without transferring voice EPG file from the transmitter.

Digital Multimedia Broadcasting (DMB) is the mobile TV service based on a digital radio transmission system that provides high quality audio/video and other auxiliary data services. As users want to store the DMB content in their device to be consumed later or to be shared among users, a standardized format needs to be specified to guarantee the interoperability for the DMB contents for various devices. DMB AF (Application Format) specification defines a file format for DMB contents and services. It specifies how to combine the variety of DMB contents with associated information for a presentation in a well-defined format that facilitates storage, interchange, management, editing, and presentation of the DMB contents in protected, governed, and interoperable ways. In this paper we present our implementation of DMB AF as part of the development of DMB AF reference software. Our implementation of DMB AF is developed as the reference software for the standard specification that consists of a three applications: packager, media player, metadata browser and collection of supporting libraries used by the applications.

본 논문에서는 지상파 디지털 방송에 적용 가능한 MPEG-2 트랜스포트 스트림(Transport Stream)용 demultiplexer를 개발하였다. Demultiplexer는 MPEG-2 형식의 멀티미디어 데이터에서 영상부분, 음성부분, 그리고 데이터 부분을 분리하여 각각의 디코더로 전송하는 기능을 담당한다. 현재 대부분의 MPEG-2 transport stream용 demultiplexer들은 하드웨어 시스템으로 구성되어졌으나, 고성능 컴퓨터의 빠른 발전으로 인하여 소프트웨어적으로도 실시간으로 동작 할 수 있게 되었다. 개발되어진 소프트웨어 demultiplexer는 윈도우즈 환경에서 동작할 수 있도록 하기 위하여 COM(Component Object Model)기반의 Microsoft의 Directshow를 이용하여 filter형태의 소프트웨어 모듈로 개발하였다. Demultiplexer의 동작은 GraphEdit tool을 사용하여 확인하였으며, 이를 위해 MPEG-2 transport stream 형식의 테스트 파일을 랜더링 하였다.
