  • In this paper, we present the design and implementation of a realtime DNS Query Analysis System to detect and to protect from DNS attacks. The proposed system uses mirroring to collect data in DMZ, then analizes the collected data. As a result of the analysis, if the proposed system finds attack information, the information is used as a filtering information of firewall. statistic of the collected data is viewed as a realtime monitoring information on the web. To verify the effictiveness of the proposed system, we have built the proposed system and conducted some experiments. As the result, Our proposed system can be used effectively to defend DNS spoofing, DNS flooding attack, DNS amplification attack, can prevent interior network's attackers from attacking and provides realtime DNS query statistic information and geographic information for monitoring DNS query using GeoIP API and Google API. It can be useful information for ICT convergence and the future work.

  • In this paper, we propose the efficient Second-Order Differential Power Analysis attack, which has ability to find significant information such as secret key in the devices consisting IT convergence environment such as Smartgrid, Advanced Metering Infrastructure(AMI) and ZigBee-based home networking service. This method helps to find the secret key easily at a device, even though it uses a countermeasure like masking which makes First-Order DPA attack harder. First, we present the performance results of our implementation which implements practical Second-Order DPA attack using the existing preprocessing function, and analyze it. Then we propose a stronger preprocessing function which overcomes countermeasures like masking. Finally, we analyze the results of the Second-Order CPA attack using proposed preprocessing function and verify that proposed scheme is very threatening to the security fields of IT convergence technology through the experimental results.

  • Sybil attack can disrupt proper operations of wireless sensor network by forging its sensor node to multiple identities. To protect the sensor network from such an attack, a number of countermeasure methods based on RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) and LQI (Link Quality Indicator) have been proposed. However, previous works on the Sybil attack detection do not consider the fact that Sybil nodes can change their RSSI and LQI strength for their malicious purposes. In this paper, we present a Sybil attack detection method based on a transmission power range. Our proposed method initially measures range of RSSI and LQI from sensor nodes, and then set the minimum, maximum and average RSSI and LQI strength value. After initialization, monitoring nodes request that each sensor node transmits data with different transmission power strengths. If the value measured by monitoring node is out of the range in transmission power strengths, the node is considered as a malicious node.

  • As more users use mobile devices, shoulder surfing attacks have emerged as an important issue in security. According to research report, in fact, the result showed that about 30% of smartphone users are hit by shoulder surfing attacks. To this end, in this paper, we consider a shoulder surfing attack and propose a partially hidden password system to resistant to its attack. In order to help readers understand, we describe the proposed password system in more detail using one simple example. The core idea behind the proposed system is to place the user's password randomly in the specified grid instead of entering a password directly. As a result, even if an attacker makes a shoulder surfing attack to observe the password, the user can hide the preset password and defend against the attack. We also show how the security of the password system proposed in this paper is improved. In addition, even if there are consecutive shoulder surfing attacks, the security of the proposed password system is robust.

  • The pattern matching part of Intrusion Detection System based on misuse-detection mechanism needs much processing time and resources, and it has become a bottleneck in system performance. Moreover, it derives denial-of-service attack. In this paper, we propose (1) framework architecture that is strong against denial-of-service attack and (2) efficient pattern matching method especially for web server system. By using both of these 2 methods, we can maintain web server system efficiently secure against attacks including denial-of-service.

  • DNS spoofing, the DNS server with the address of a specific web server intercepts them in the process of translating the attacker wants to forge a Web server that is a way to access. ARP spoofing ARP request and response messages for the protocol without authentication vorticity incorrect information as to the ARP Cache Table to store the MAC addresses of their vulnerability using the MAC address of the other computer as if it were a lie technique. These DNS / ARP spoofing attacks in detail to find out about how it looks at ways to prevent. Think about the future research directions.

  • Distributed denial of service attack detection for more development and research is underway. The method of using statistical techniques, the normal packets and abnormal packets to identify efficient. In this paper several statistical techniques, using a mix of various offers a way to detect the attack. To verify the effectiveness of the proposed technique, it set packet filtering on router and the proposed DDoS attacks detection method on a Linux router. In result, the proposed technique was detect various attacks and provide normal service mostly.

  • It discovered a design error from the module to search required installing security patch of Windows Update and Automatic Updates that Microsoft supports it to install security patch easily and quickly. It explains and tests security patch-disguise attack by this error. Security patch-disguise attack is to maintains a vulnerability and to be not searched the security patch simultaneously. Also it composes an attack scenario. Is like that, it proposes the method which solves an design error of the module to search required installing security patch.

  • For the analysis of lifting surface at high angle of attack, a Nonlinear Vortex Lattice Method(NLVLM) was used. The NLVLM is intented to compute the interactions between lifting surfaces and separated vertical flow. The lifting surfaces are represented by a lattice of discrete vortex rings. And wakes are represented by families of non-lintersecting, semi-infinite vortex line segments. The image method also used to analyze the ground effect. It is found that vortex lines separated from lifting surfaces represent the separated flows successfully. Although the present method is applied for the rectangular wing and delta wing, extensions can be possible for the arbitrary lifting surfaces. The Present results show good agreement with experimental data.

  • The most threatening attack that has become a hot topic of recent IT security is APT Attack.. So far, there is no way to respond to APT attacks except by using artificial intelligence techniques. Here, we have implemented a machine learning algorithm for analyzing cyber threat data using machine learning method, using a data set that collects cyber attack cases using Scikit Learn, a big data machine learning framework. The result showed an attack classification accuracy close to 70%. This result can be developed into the algorithm of the security control system in the future.
