Recently, with the rapid increase in technology and users of smart devices, the smart watch market has grown, and its utility and usability are continuously expanding. The strengths of smartwatches are wearable portability, application immediacy, data diversity and real-time capability. Despite these strengths, smartwatches have limitations such as battery limitations, display and user interface size limitations, and memory limitations. In addition, there is a need to supplement developers and standard devices, operating system standard models, and killer application modules. In particular, monitoring and application of user's biometric information is becoming a major service for smart watches. The biometric information of such a smart watch generates a large amount of data in real time. In order to advance the biometric information service, stable peer-to-peer transmission of sensing data to a remote smartphone or local server storage must be performed. We propose a synchronization method to ensure wireless remote peer-to-peer transmission stability in a smart watch system. We design a wireless peer-to-peer transmission process based on this synchronization method, analyze asynchronous transmission process and proposed synchronous transmission process, and propose a transmission efficiency method according to an increase in transmission amount.
Recently, wireless networks have been pursuing multimedia data service as voice, data, image, video and various form of data according to development of information communication technology. It guarantees cell delivery delay of real time data in efficient real time multimedia data transfer. Also, it minimizes cell loss rate of non-real time multimedia data. In the wireless ATM, there are based on Asynchronous Transfer Mode(ATM). It implies that there are various service with difficult transmission rates and qualities in the wireless communication network. As a result, it is important to find out the ways to guarantee the Quality of Service(QoS) for each kind of traffic in wireless network. In this thesis, we propose an improved TCRM scheduling algorithms for transmission real-time multimedia data service in wireless ATM Networks. We appear real time multimedia scheduling policy that apply each different method to uplink and downlik to wireless ATM network. It can guarantee QoS requirements for each real time data and non-real time data. It also deals the fairness problem for sharing the scarce wireless resources. We solve fault of TCRM as inefficient problem of non-real data by using arbitrary transmission speed and RB(Reservation Buffer) through VC(Virtual Control) and BS(Base Station).

In the ATM-PON (Asynchronous Transfer Mode-Passive Optical Network), the downstream cell transmitted by an OLT is broadcast to all ONUs. The ONU receives selectively its own cells by VP filtering. On the other hand, the upstream cell can be transmitted by ONU in the case of receiving a grant from the OLT. After providing the grant to an ONU, the OLT expects the arrival of a cell after an elapse of the equalized round trip delay. ITU-T G.983.1 recommends that one bit error is allowed between the expected arrival time and the actual arrival time at the OLT. Because the ONU processes the different delay to each type of grant (ranging, user cell, and mimi-slot grant), it is not simple to design the transmission part of ONU. In this paper, we implement a grant processor which provides the delay accurately in the ONU TC chip with the FPGA. For the given equalized delay, it deals with the delay for the cell, the byte, and the bit unit by using the shift register, the byte counter, and the D flip-flop, respectively. We verify the operation of the grant processor by the time simulation and the measurement of the optical board output.

Currently, the communication systems are progressing two ways as the wireless and multimedia and these need big transmission capacity then before. In these circumstance, communication services existed as two different service forms which have different rates and characteristics. For example Voice/Video Services accept some errors but transmit on realtime, but Date Services don't need to transmit on realtime but have to retransmit if these have only one bit error. In Voice/Date Integrated traffics, it has big throughput that realtime voice/video data which could have some errors if integrated traffic is increased rapidly have transmission priority, then Data traffics which delay is accepted is sent after that. In this paper, I introduce the calculation method for various traffic when voice/data mixed traffics is transmitted to asynchronous unslotted ALOHA CDMA system proposed and the result is presented. And We can easily theoretical analysis for the system traffic and changing traffic using proposed solution in this paper.

The phase error in the digital transmission system are generated by random phase noise and tracking phase error due to doppler phenomenon. In the mobile satellite communication system that generates the doppler frequency, which is a system with a movement, the proper system phase noise spectrum should be designed based on analyses for phase noise and static phase error effects. Based on the analyses of the doppler frequency and the phase error for bilateral satellite communication system providing an asynchronous service, the phase noise spectrums for the mobile satellite communication are designed in this paper. Also, the available transmission services under the less doppler effect are proposed and the proper signal source units for a required transmission system can be designed under the proposed system phase noise spectrum.
The IEEE 1394 High Speed Serial Bus is a versatile, high-performance, and low-cost method of promoting interoperability between all types of A/V and computing devices. IEEE 1394 provides two transfer modes: asynchronous mode for best effort service and isochronous mode for best effort service with bandwidth reservation. This paper shows the bus performance and compared the transfer odes first at the link level and then at the application level. For the application level performance, we analyze the bus systems with fixed and adaptive interfaces, applied between the upper layer and the 1394 layer, using polling systems. Also we verifies the analysis models with simulation studies. Based on our analysis, we conclude that the adaptive interface reduces the bus access time and so increases the bus utilization.

In recent years, research on smart factory wireless mobile communication technology that wirelessly remotely controls utilities is being actively conducted. The Wi-SUN (Wireless Smart Utility Network) Alliance proposed a Wi-SUN protocol structure suitable for building a platform such as a smart factory as a new wireless communication standardization standard based on EEE802.15.4g/e. It analyzes the performance of the IEEE802.15.4e Receiver Initiated Transmission(RIT) Mode Media Access Control (MAC) in terms of throughput and latency, and looks at considerations for efficient operation. RIT mode shows that as the check interval becomes longer, delay time and throughput decrease. It was shown that as the traffic load increases, if the RIT check interval is shortened, the delay time can be shortened and throughput can be increased. RIT mode has the advantage of low power consumption and has neutral characteristics between IEEE802.15.4 and CSL mode in terms of delay time and throughput.

In this paper, we propose an asynchronous UWB (Ultra Wide Band) Positioning scheme that can provide precise positioning performance with low complexity and low power consumption. We also present the residual test to improve the positioning performance in multipath channels having heavy NLoS (Non-Line of Sight) components. As compared to conventional ToA (Time of Arrival) positioning scheme that requires round-trip transmissions as many as the number of beacons, the proposed UWB positioning scheme effectively decrease power consumption and processing delay since a single round-trip transmission is only required. Also, as compared to conventional TDoA (Time Difference of Arrival) positioning scheme requiring precise synchronization among the beacons, asynchronous nature of the proposed scheme achieves very low system complexity. Through simulations in LoS (Line of Sight) channel models, we observe that the proposed scheme requires low system complexity, low power consumption, while providing positioning performance of almost the same accuracy as the conventional ToA and TDoA positioning schemes. In addition, the proposed scheme by employing the residual test achieves accurate positioning performance even in multipath channels having heavy NLoS components.

The short-range communication module was developed in this paper which is suitable for the point-to-multipoint circumstances of 40 terminals communicating frequently in about 50 meters. The media access control layer of this communication module using asynchronous time-division multiplexing provides a fast and robust performance even in the worst case of simultaneous transmission events, and low packet error rate was measured a in LOS (Line-of-sight) circumstance by adding the function of acknowledge response to media access control layer. The difference test was carried out in order to measure the performance of point-to-multipoint communication. Two communication modules are respectively measured and graphed in 10 branches to 40 branches. The communication module developed in this paper showed a faster performance than the commercial Zigbee module in the specific case presented in this paper. Especially, in over 20 branches showed wide differences of the transmission speed. This results is caused by more network overhead of Zigbee whose wider applications needs the network layer and applicaiton layer besides media access control layer. Also, the asynchronous time-division multiplexing proposed in this paper are more suitable than CSMA-CA of Zigbee module when a lot of module ought to be frequently communicated in small area.
Recently, the advance of multimedia hardware has fostered the development of wireless multimedia sensor network which is able to ubiquitously obtain multimedia content such as image or audio from the environment. The multimedia data which has several characteristics such as large size and correlation between the data requires reliability in transmission. However, the existing solution which take the focus on the efficiency of network mainly, is not appropriate to transmit the multimedia data. In the paper, we proposes a reliable asynchronous image transfer protocol, RAIT. RAIT applies double sliding window method in node-to-node image tansfer to prevent the packet loss caused by network congestion. The double sliding window consists of one sliding window for the receiving queue, which is used for prevention of packet loss caused by communication failure between nodes and the other sliding window for the sending queue which prevents the packet loss caused by network congestion. the routing node prevents the packet loss and guarantees the fairness between the nodes by scheduling the packets based on the image non-preemptively. The RAIT implements the double sliding window method by cross layer design between RAIT layer, routing layer, and queue layer. The experiment shows that RAIT guarantees the reliability of image transmission compared with the existing protocol.
