  • Providing an adequate housing to the socially underprivileged with a weak economic base is the most difficult task of housing policies. Korea established minimum housing standards and has used them for housing policies. However, the level of Korean minimum housing standards is far lower than that of foreign minimum housing standards. Thus, this study made a comparative analysis of Korean minimum housing standards with foreign housing standards in various aspects in order to guarantee housing quality of the socially underprivileged in Korea. In particular, the floor area and ratio of small lease homes are minutely examined to present the actual housing standard of the socially underprivileged. The level of Korean minimum housing standards suggested in this paper is very close to that of Japanese minimum housing standard, which is 37.95 $m^2$ for a 3 member family and just above Chombard de Lauw's pathological limit (36.03 $m^2$). As this research is specifically focused on the establishment of minimum floor area standards for the socially underprivileged, further research should be made in consideration of more specific requirements of various groups for the socially underprivileged.

W.J. Scheifley, with Christian service mind and mission as a dentist, applied to American Protestantic missionary dentist overseas. The dental department in the Severance Union Medical College introduced the scientistic dental education of America, facilitated research on the dental condition of the Korean people, and ran independent dental clinic. W.J. Schiefley criticised the profit-seeking attitude of Japanese dentists and denturist(="IPCHISA", in Korean pronunciation) and emphasized on the significance of Oral Health. He did all kind of dental treatments with advanced equipments like X-ray machine, and managed the collective oral health care for missionaries overseas. He trained medical students and assistants of the dentists with the goal of producing Korean dentists, but he failed due to the Dentist law introduced by Japanese colonial administration that interfered with producing Korean dentists. However, O.R. Avison's proposal of the establishment of dental schools stimulated the establishment of Kyungsung dental school, which provided the basis for the Dental department in the Severance Union Medical College becoming special training institution for Korean Dentists.

  • The role establishment and the activation plan were proposed for 11 Science Institute of Education and 4 Education and Science Institutes located in 15 cities/provinces and Science Resource Centers of 179 municipal/provincial Educational Departments. We had conducted a survey of present status of those institutes and also the fact finding survey was conducted toward office workers asking what activities they must conduct, those they are processing well at present and those they don't like to conduct by quesionaire. It was found that since Science Institute of Education and Education and Science Institutes are under the direct control of Board of Education of cities/provinces, there were the Acts. However, many restrictions were in Science Resource Center because they have not the Acts under controled by municipal/provincial Educational Departments. As a result of a study, the standard of equipments and facilities and the activation plan of those institutes were suggested.

The reasons of the change are the social demand for the reformation of facility and the modification of subsidy constitution according to the establishment of equal facility. Some examples of that are the construction of lifelong education community and the change into a equivalent society between male and female and the adjusting to the aging and the welfare society and the social situation of more consumption recently, and in order to emerge from former building system, new facilities related to the contents are being expanded. The complex of the community mixed-support facility has an advantage in that it supplies the services for the complex of the community mixed-support facility, constitutes the communal character and the sense of solidarity among residents and can lead the development of region through the exchange of regional information. Through the Japanese community mixed-support facility which has many cases of it, this study would recognize the suggestion, the feature of it and examine the complex types.

  • To promote the remodeling project it is important to get apartment residents' consent. It is significant variable to determine project to progress smoothly from planning stage which committee of association establishment sets up to establishment stage of association. On average, it takes about 1~1.6 year in planning phase which means before construction phase of remodeling. Therefore, it is very important issue to get apartment residents' consent in planning phase. In this research, we focused on residents' opinion and proposed solution of conflict with gathering residents' opinion to proceed remodeling project. By setting particular remodeling situation, related residents represented as agents made effort to efficient coordination to reduce total duration of decision making. Therefore, we proposed multi-agent based on fuzzy inference to simulate behavior of decision making on remodeling project effectively. From this method, optimal alternative is selected by considering each agents' attributes which represented by fuzzy set. This research will develope to further research for realizing concrete multi-agent based on fuzzy inference considering all stakeholders in remodeling project.
