공학설계 교과목에서 교수-학습 방법에 따른 학습성과 분석 사례 (Case Analysis of Program Outcomes Depending on Teaching Methods in Engineering Design Course)

  • This paper is concerned with the development case of CEA(Course-Embedded Assessment) design tool for engineering education accreditation operations department for CEA system implemented. Each university or programs are already devoting efforts to build research and CEA system for CEA applied to. In order to effectively apply the CEA studies for each program it is required and particularly, the preferred way to build an operating system is considered a difficult situation of the course unit. Therefore, this case study and to propose a method and procedures required to assessment the design basis for curriculum and program assessment unit in terms of the applicability of CEA, proposes a virtual application results. The information proposed in this case study is determined that could be used in the design for the outcomes and assessment of a variety of programs as one of the steps to build the CEA systems.

중등학교 과학 수행평가의 평가 유형과 채점 방식 및 신뢰도 분석 (Analysis of Assessment Types, Scoring Methods and Reliability of Science Performance Assessment in Middle and High School)

  • 본 연구에서는 중등학교 과학 수행평가가 어떤 평가 유형과 채점 방식을 사용하고 있는지 분석하였으며, 이를 토대로 일반화가능도 이론을 이용하여 과학 수행평가 점수가 얼마나 신뢰로운지 분석하였다. 연구 결과, 과학 수행평가의 유형은 크게 지필형과 과제형으로 나눌 수 있었다. 지필형으로는 중등학교 모두 응답제한형 서술형검사만을 실시하고 있었다. 과제형은 과정 평가와 결과물 평가로 나눌 수 있었다. 채점 방식은 1명의 교사가 모든 서술형문항과 수행과제를 채점하거나, 2명의 교사가 수행과제를 나누어 채점하고 있었다. 그러나 2명 이상의 교사가 서술형문항을 나누거나 교차하여 채점하는 경우는 없었다. 표집된 7개 중등학교 과학 수행평가의 신뢰도 분석 결과는 다음과 갇다: (1) 서술형 문항의 특성이 수행과제의 특성보다 학생들의 수행평가 점수에 미치는 영향이 더 큰것으로 나타났다. (2) 수행과제 채점에서 채점자가 피험자를 다르게 채점하는 정도는 학교에 따라 상당한 차이가 있었다. (3) 7개 중등학교 과학 수행평가의 일반화가능도(신뢰도)는 대부분 적정 수준인 0.80에 미치지 못하는 것으로 나타났으며, 적정 수준의 일반화가능도를 얻기 위해서는 지금보다 더 많은 수의 서술형 문항과 수행과제 그리고 채점자가 필요한 것으로 분석되었다.

  • The various risk assessment methodologies have been introduced in the railway industries. The risk assessment suggested by CENELEC are described with two ways; quantitative and qualitative methods. However, in the industry application level, the quantitative method is hard to apply for a project because of somehow complicated or few statistical figures which was driven from the on-site and the qualitative method is too subject to have the confidence of its results fully. In this paper, the state-of-the-art methods which were suggested in Europe recently are introduced and compared to existing quantitative and qualitative methods. Furthermore, the application measures of railway projects are investigated.

  • For the maritime traffic safety assessment of vessels navigating in harbor or fairway, simulation techniques by using shiphandling simulator system have been traditionally used. When designing the simulation experiments and when analyzing the simulation results, however, there has been a little systematic method. Ship-handling simulations can be regarded as a kind of statistical experiment by using ship-handling simulator system, which means that shiphandling simulation conditions should be designed statistically and that the simulation results should be statistically analyzed as well. For the safe and economic design of harbor and fairway, reasonable decisions based upon the scientific analysis of shiphandling simulation results are indispensable. In this paper, various statistical methods, such as Bayes theorem, statistical hypothesis testing, and probability distributions, are reviewed with a view to application to maritime traffic safety assessment. It is expected that more reasonable decisions on harbor and fairway design can be made from shiphandlers' view point by using statistical methods.

대청댐 저층 퇴적물 박테리아 군집과 활성 평가 (Assessment of Bacterial Abundance and Activities in Sediment of Daecheong Dam Reservoir)

  • Bacterial activities of dam reservoir sediments were assessed using the methods of viable counts, ATP contents, dehydrogenase activity, and oxygen consumption. Viable heterotrophs in collected sediments were observed in the range of $10^6{\sim}10^{10}$ CFU/g dry wt. sediment. All assessed methods showed high activities in sediment samples collected from near dam site. In addition, bacteria increase in sediments amended with cellulose, starch, lipid, and protein compounds. Various ranges of antibiotics and heavy metals resistance bacteria were also detected, especially, 10~100 times less numbers of Cd resistance bacteria were observed compared with those of Pb and Cr. In general, antibiotics resistance groups were in the range of $10^{-1}{\sim}10^{-6}$ times of control.

  • In this paper, we discuss how to assess students' understanding of concepts during class, after class and in regular exams in the mathematics classes using the handheld graphing technology. We show some methods of assessment that are compatible with the class using the handheld graphing technology. These methods are adjustable to students' learning during class, homework after class or in regular exams. As a feedback of these methods we give students additional opportunity to understand concepts by giving additional concept provoking problems or giving additional help if necessary.

Hybrid parallel smooth particle hydrodynamic for probabilistic tsunami risk assessment and inland inundation

  • The probabilistic tsunami risk assessment of large coastal areas is challenging because the inland propagation of a tsunami wave requires an accurate numerical model that takes into account the interaction between the ground, the infrastructures, and the wave itself. Classic mesh-based methods face many challenges in the propagation of a tsunami wave inland due to their ever-moving boundary conditions. In alternative, mesh-less based methods can be used, but they require too much computational power in the far-field. This study proposes a hybrid approach. A mesh-based method propagates the tsunami wave from the far-field to the near-field, where the influence of the sea floor is negligible, and a mesh-less based method, smooth particle hydrodynamic, propagates the wave onto the coast and inland, and takes into account the wave structure interaction. Nowadays, this can be done because the advent of general purpose GPUs made mesh-less methods computationally affordable. The method is used to simulate the inland propagation of the 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami off the coast of Indonesia.

  • From the mid-1990s in Korea, performance assessment has been continuously emphasized in school mathematics and thus many researchers and teachers have been steadily studying this topic. But the concepts relevant to performance assessment and its purposes are very confusing because the mathematics educators' different views and voices are vary. As a result most mathematics teachers experience trouble in executing performance assessment properly and effectively in their math class. This unability for proper execution of performance assessment was once again revealed in this study which dealt with 15 articles on performance assessment. These 15 articles includes almost every article written on the topic of performance assessment that have been published in 4 domestic journals since December 1997. By examining this inability, it is required that its concepts and purposes should be organized with a common view and newly defined in the near future. 아동 및 청소년의 라이프스타일 평가도구에 관한 조사: 체계적 고찰 (A Study on the Lifestyle Assessment Tools of Children and Adolescents: A Systematic Review)

  • 목적 : 아동 및 청소년의 다면적인 라이프스타일을 평가하는 표준화된 평가도구 개발을 위해 라이프스타일 평가도구와 라이프스타일 구성요소별 평가도구들을 체계적으로 분석하고자 한다. 연구방법 : 기간은 2001년부터 2020년까지였으며, 검색엔진은 CINANL, NDSL, PubMed, RISS를 사용하였다. 검색어는 'lifestyle assessment' OR 'lifestyle profile' OR 'lifestyle test', 'physical activity assessment' OR 'physical activity participation profile', 'nutrition assessment' OR 'nutrition profile', 'activity participation assessment' OR 'activity participation profile'을 사용하였다. 결과 : 5,883편의 연구에서 중복제거 후 제목, 초록, 전문을 검토한 결과, 총 24개의 평가도구가 선정되었다. 세부 결과로는 라이프스타일 평가도구 5개, 신체활동 평가도구 7개, 식습관 평가도구 9개, 활동참여 평가도구 3개가 도출되었다. 결론 : 아동 및 청소년의 라이프스타일 평가도구에 대하여 각 항목별 평가도구의 평가항목, 측정방법, 평가대상연령을 분석하였다. 향후 아동 및 청소년을 위한 표준화된 다면적인 라이프스타일 평가도구의 개발에 기초자료로 활용되기를 기대한다.

멀티미디어 응용을 위한 주관적 동영상 품질평가 방법의 비교분석 (Comparison of subjective video quality assessment methods for multimedia applications)

  • 본 논문에서는 멀티미디어 응용을 위한 동영상의 주관적 품질평가방법으로 널리 사용되는 DSCQS(Double Stimulus Continuous Quality Scale method) 및 ACR(Absolute Category Rating)방법을 비교분석하였다. 두 가지 방법을 비교 실험한 결과 MOS (Mean Opinion Score) 값의 경우 DSCQS와 ACR의 평가치가 매우 높은 상관도를 보이는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 또한 DMOS (Difference Mean Opinion Score)값의 경우에는 DSCQS와 ACR 방법이 MOS 값의 경우보다 약간 낮은 정도의 상관도를 보였다. 이 같은 결과는 ACR 방식이 DSCQS에 필적하는 성능을 제공하며 많은 수의 영상을 평가 할 수 있는 효율적인 주관적 품질평가 방법임을 보여주고 있다.
