The Purposes of this article are to find Christian religion and Germany expressionism which were background of Nolde's art and analyze formation and special quality, expression mode of holy picture. If synthesize contents of these analysis, we could know that faith is giving religious inspiration continuously during his lift to Protestant experience through the Bible. Though there is some difference by time but we could foretell that he accomplished modern holy picture of new sensitivity by doing individual expression with equal Bible subject traditionally in 20th century that change unlike existent holy picture with these motive power. That is, with new trend which religious inspiration as imagination which spring up in experience that is not experience of artificial Christian religion is then expressionism various that historically, he accomplished unique holy picture to related each other with the historic event.

The purpose of this article is to examine the role of similarity in the metaphor and simile preference and offer empirical evidence against the equivalence view of simile and metaphor. This evidence was obtained from two experiments to examine the correlation between the similarity ratings and the preference ratings. The results suggest that Korean people choose the metaphor form when the similarity of a target and a source increases, whereas they choose the simile form when the similarity of a target and a source decreases. The results from these experiments are consistent with Chiappe and Kennedy's (1999, 2001) findings. Moreover, the experiments found that Korean people were more likely to express particular comparisons as similes over metaphors than American people.

Bdellovibrio bacteriovorus is a predatory bacterium which attacks and consumes other bacterial strains, including the well known pathogens E. coli O157 : H7, Salmonella typhimurium and Helicobacter pylori. This remarkable activity has been the focus of research for nearly five decades, with exciting practical applications to medical, agriculture and farming practices recently being published. This article reviews many of the exciting steps research into this bacterium, and similar bacteria, has taken, focusing primarily on their use as both an antibiotic to remove harmful and pathogenic bacteria and as a probiotic to help curb and control the bacterial populations within the intestinal tract. Owing to the unique and dual nature of this bacterium, this review proposes the use of "amphibiotic" to describe these bacteria and their activities.

This article presents the development and application of educational programs at Chungnam National University(CNU). College of engineering in CNU developed the engineering education program, CNU Engineering Fair, in 2009, and it is annually holding in September or October. The purposes of the fair are to show superiority of the college of engineering students of CNU, to strengthen the industry-university cooperation and to motivate students to lead their engineering interests. As a result of the fair, the opportunity to understand the college of engineering has been increased for students in the college of engineering as well as the public. As the development of human resources has been concerned, it gives us a chance for individual development and career development. Finally, the fair causes interests in engineering to high school students.

Clinically, proximal bone resorption in the femur is frequently seen postoperatively on the follow up X-rays after total hip replacement(THR). We developed the finite element model of cementless THR. The model is two dimensional side plate model, whereby the three dimensional structural integrity of the bone can be accounted for by a separate two dimensional mesh, a side plate. The subject of this article is the development and application of this two dimensional side plate FEM to study the reverse effect of the various degree of bone resorption of femur after THR. The results of this study indicates that two dimensional side plate model is good and simple alternative to complex three dimensional model and the severity of the proximal bone resorption has the effect of more increasing stress on the cortex at the level of femoral stem tip.

This article investigates kinematic characteristics of a Sch$\ddot{o}$nflies motion generator which represents a mechanism having translational three Degree-of-Freedom (DOF) and rotational one-DOF motion about a fixed axis. The mechanism consists of the base plate and the moving plate, and four identical limbs connecting them. Each limb employs two revolute joints (RR), one parallelogram (Pa), and two revolute joints (RR) from the base plate to the moving plate. The mechanism is driven by four actuators which are placed on the base plate to minimize dynamic loads. It is shown through simulations that the mechanism can be designed to secure large dexterous workspace and thus has very high potential for actual applications such as haptic devices and high-speed requiring tasks such as pick-and-place operations, riveting, screwing tasks, etc.

Surgery is still considered to be the mainstay for the treatment of localized gastric cancer with negative margins (R0-resection) and an adequate lymph-node-dissection (D2-lymphadenectomy). Unfortunately, most cases of gastric cancer are only diagnosed at an advanced stage due to frequent recurrences after primary resection in curative intent. In order to improve prognosis after curative resection, in the recent past, patients with locally advanced tumors were subjected to a pre-, peri-, or postoperative treatment. Interestingly, postoperative chemotherapy has significantly improved survival after gastric resection in Asia, adjuvant radiochemotherapy is favored in North America and perioperative chemotherapy is considered as a treatment of choice in Europe indicating region specific approach towards the treatment. Recently there has also been growing evidence of positive outcomes of neoadjuvant radiochemotherapy on patient survival. In the present article, we discuss the concepts of neoadjuvant treatment approach and provide recommendations to surgeons based on current evidence.

The hypertensive encephalopathy is one of sudden convulsive cause in patients with acute post-streptococcal glomerulonephritis, but commonly, after the episode we can observe only mild to moderately hypertension in APSGN at ER. So these remains some question of what causes the convulsion in patients with APSGN. In this article, we report 3 cases of convulsion in APSGN with only moderate hypertension, the etiology of which proved to be due to hypertensive encephalopathy by the brain MRI. We believe that the brain MRI is a very useful test to diagnose the etiology of convulsion in APSGN and if brain edema in occipital lobe is detected by brain MRI, the convulsion would be due to hypertensive encephalopathy and the prognosis will be very good.
