  • Ionizing radiation is a both a natural and man-made phenomena that plays a major role in contemporary applications. The detection of this radiation has evolved over the past several decades from simple observations to precise measurements in space, time, and energy, even in harsh environmental conditions. Tn this paper, we present a snapshot of the current state-of-the-art in radiation measurement technology, highlighting the major applications and detector developments.

  • In this paper we propose a multi-step approach for interactive design development based on usability engineering and show the proposed methodology is able to apply the digital art works. As an example, we show the proposed multi-step approach is efficient in the developing process of a digital design works.

  • In this paper, we propose a novel approach for evolving the architecture of a multi-layer neural network. Our method uses combined ART1 algorithm and Max-Min neural network to self-generate nodes in the hidden layer. We have applied the. proposed method to the problem of recognizing ID number in student identity cards. Experimental results with a real database show that the proposed method has better performance than a conventional neural network.

  • Laser cleaning has begun to attract a considerable amount of interest recently as a new cleaning technique among scientists and engineers. The unique characteristics of laser cleaning are currently finding successful applications in industry, in medicine as well as in the world of art conservation. This paper takes an overview of the laser cleaning technique itself including basic principles and characteristics, and provides an account of current trends especially with regard to practical applications. Experience with its successful applications in various fields shows that laser cleaning may be about to emerge as a real alternative to conventional cleaning methods.

  • 컬러 사진을 흑백으로 바꿔 데이터 셋을 구축해 CNN 모델을 트레이닝 시킨다. HSI 컬러 모델에서 흑백 사진으로부터 밝기 값은 알고 있음으로, 나머지 두 컬러 영역 색상, 채도를 CNN 모델이 추측하도록 학습을 시켜, 흑백사진으로부터 컬러 사진을 만들어낸다. 이 기술을 채색이 안된 불교 미술 그림에 적용하여 채색을 시키는 것에 대한 연구를 진행하였다.

  • Point cloud is a flexible set of points that can provide a scalable geometric representation which can be applied in different computer graphic task. We propose a method based on EdgeConv and densely connected layers to aggregate the features for better classification. Our proposed approach shows significant performance improvement compared to the state-of-the-art deep neural network-based approaches.

  • This research addresses the most sophisticated level of complexity of current electronic data processing(EDP) technology realtime, distributed data base(DDB) system. The major objective is to develop guidelines for the control and audit of these sophisticated system, since the control and audit philosophies, control features, and audit techniques applicable to traditional EDP systems are no longer fully appropriate for, or relevant to, these stat-of-art systems. An attempt is made to develop an internally consistent audit and control Conceptual Framework summarizing and integrating the material developed in this research, which then leads into the analysis of the control and audit model.

  • This technical note is intended to introduce a state-of-the-art offshore construction vessel. This unique vessel is for multi-purpose Field Development Ship (FDS) for deepwater to ultra-deepwater. The FDS is a construction vessel with dynamic positioning (DP) system intended to develop offshore oil and gas field in water depth up to 3000 m. The design criteria and main capacities of the vessel are discussed.
