장애물이 없는 3차원 네트워크 공간에서 통신 범위 내에 무선 링크가 가능한 블록 기반의 균등 분포 무작위 노드 배치 방법 (A Block-based Uniformly Distributed Random Node Arrangement Method Enabling to Wirelessly Link Neighbor Nodes within the Communication Range in Free 3-Dimensional Network Spaces)

  • The 2-dimensional arrangement method of nodes has been used in most of RF (Radio Frequency) based communication network simulations. However, this method is not useful for the an none-obstacle 3-dimensional space networks in which the propagation delay speed in communication is very slow and, moreover, the values of performance factors such as the communication speed and the error rate change on the depth of node. Such a typical example is an underwater communication network. The 2-dimensional arrangement method is also not useful for the RF based network like some WSNs (Wireless Sensor Networks), IBSs (Intelligent Building Systems), or smart homes, in which the distance between nodes is short or some of nodes can be arranged overlapping with their different heights in similar planar location. In such cases, the 2-dimensional network simulation results are highly inaccurate and unbelievable so that they lead to user's erroneous predictions and judgments. For these reasons, in this paper, we propose a method to place uniformly and randomly communication nodes in 3-dimensional network space, making the wireless link with neighbor node possible. In this method, based on the communication rage of the node, blocks are generated to construct the 3-dimensional network and a node per one block is generated and placed within a block area. In this paper, we also introduce an algorithm based on this method and we show the performance results and evaluations on the average time in a node generation and arrangement, and the arrangement time and scatter-plotted visualization time of all nodes according to the number of them. In addition, comparison with previous studies is conducted. As a result of evaluating the performance of the algorithm, it was found that the processing time of the algorithm was proportional to the number of nodes to be created, and the average generation time of one node was between 0.238 and 0.28 us. ultimately, There is no problem even if a simulation network with a large number of nodes is created, so it can be sufficiently introduced at the time of simulation.

Multi-objective optimization of printed circuit heat exchanger with airfoil fins based on the improved PSO-BP neural network and the NSGA-II algorithm

  • The printed circuit heat exchanger (PCHE) with airfoil fins has the benefits of high compactness, high efficiency and superior heat transfer performance. A novel multi-objective optimization approach is presented to design the airfoil fin PCHE in this paper. Three optimization design variables (the vertical number, the horizontal number and the staggered number) are obtained by means of dimensionless airfoil fin arrangement parameters. And the optimization objective is to maximize the Nusselt number (Nu) and minimize the Fanning friction factor (f). Firstly, in order to investigate the impact of design variables on the thermal-hydraulic performance, a parametric study via the design of experiments is proposed. Subsequently, the relationships between three optimization design variables and two objective functions (Nu and f) are characterized by an improved particle swarm optimization-backpropagation artificial neural network. Finally, a multi-objective optimization is used to construct the Pareto optimal front, in which the non-dominated sorting genetic algorithm II is used. The comprehensive performance is found to be the best when the airfoil fins are completely staggered arrangement. And the best compromise solution based on the TOPSIS method is identified as the optimal solution, which can achieve the requirement of high heat transfer performance and low flow resistance.

충격하중하의 탑재장비 프레임 지지구조의 탄성마운트 배치 최적화에 관한 연구 (Optimal Arrangement of Resilient Mount installed on Frame Support Structure at Shipboard Equipment under Shock Load)

  • Shipboard equipment in naval ships should be designed to be safe under the shock load. Very high stress due to the shock load can be effectively reduced by the resilient mounts considering the mount capacity and dynamic characteristics. An optimum arrangement of resilient mount installed to absorb the shock energy is addressed to assess the safety of ship structure and shipboard equipment subjected to the shock load. Structural responses are analyzed for both frame structure supporting the shipboard equipment subject to the shock load with and without the resilient mounts. The shock absorbability of the resilient mount is evaluated by the results of structural response analysis; meanwhile, several types of shock analyses considering the arrangement of resilient mounts are carried out and the shock responses are compared to verify the effect of the arrangement. Thereafter, optimum arrangements are obtained by means of Genetic algorithm (GA) considering the different capacities of resilient mount. Stress, deformation and dynamic feature at the frame structure supporting the shipboard equipment under the shock load are also discussed in order to meet the capacity of resilient mount.

다중연결 해양부유체의 모형시험 구조응답 예측정확도 향상을 위한 유전알고리즘을 이용한 센서배치 최적화 (Optimal Sensor Placement for Improved Prediction Accuracy of Structural Responses in Model Test of Multi-Linked Floating Offshore Systems Using Genetic Algorithms)

  • 본 논문에서는 다목적 구조물인 다중연결 해양부유체를 대상으로 변형 기반 모드 차수축소법을 적용하고 차수축소모델의 구조응답 예측 성능을 향상시키기 위해 유전 알고리즘 기반의 센서 배치 최적화를 수행하였다. 다중연결 해양부유체의 차수축소모델 생성에 필요한 변형 기반 모드 데이터를 얻기 위해 다양한 규칙파랑하중조건에 대한 유체-구조 연성 수치해석을 수행하고 변형 기반 모드의 직교성, 자기상관계수를 이용하여 주요 변형 기반 모드를 선정하였다. 다중연결 해양부유체의 경우 차수축소모델의 구조응답 예측 성능이 계측 및 예측 구조응답 위치에 따라 민감하기 때문에 유전 알고리즘 기반의 최적화를 수행하여 최적의 센서 배치를 도출하였다. 최적화 결과, 모든 센서 배치 조합에 대한 차수축소모델 생성 및 예측 성능 평가 대비 약 8배의 계산 비용을 절감하였으며, 예측 성능 평가 지표인 평균 제곱근 오차가 초기 센서 배치보다 84% 감소하였다. 또한, 다중연결 해양부유체 모형시험 결과를 이용하여 불규칙파랑하중에 대한 최적화된 센서 배치의 차수축소모델의 구조응답 예측 성능을 평가 및 검증하였다.

전기-유압 유사성을 활용한 단방향 섬유 강화 복합재료의 수직 방향 투수 계수 예측 알고리즘 (Prediction Algorithm for Transverse Permeability of Unidirectional Fiber Reinforced Composites with Electric-Hydraulic Analogy)

  • 본 연구에서는 복합재료 제조 공정 과정 중 수지의 유동 저항성을 대변하는 인자인 투수 계수를 예측하는 알고리즘을 개발하였다. 단방향 연속 섬유 복합재료 내부에서 섬유와 수직인 방향 투수 계수의 정확한 예측을 위해 대표 체적 요소의 단면 형상을 고려하였다. 섬유의 유체 유동 저항성을 정량화하기 위한 인지로 섬유 간 간격이 사용되었고, 등가 길이는 섬유 배열에 따른 수지의 유로 변화를 나타내는 인자로 사용되었다. 전기-유압 유사성을 접목하여 투수 계수 예측 알고리즘을 개발하고 그 타당성을 확인하였다. 알고리즘은 Matlab과 Python으로 구성되고, 타당성 검증을 위해 FLUENT를 통해 예측된 투수 계수와 비교하였다. 알고리즘과 수치 해석을 통해 얻은 투수 계수가 거의 일치함을 확인하여 알고리즘을 검증하였으며, 소요 시간은 수치 해석 대비 약 1/450로 감소하였다.

  • A swept volume is a useful tool for solving various types of interference problems. Previous works have concentrated on sweeping an object along an arbitrary path, that results in complex algorithms. This paper concerns the volume swept by translating an object along a linear path. After analyzing the structure of the swept volume, we present an incremental algorithm for constructing a swept volume. Our algorithm takes O(n/sup 2/ *.alpha.(n)+T/sub c/) time where n is the number of vertices in the original object and T/sub c/ is time for handling face cycles.

  • In this paper we propose a new algorithm which extracts spatial arrangement information of texture elements in structural textures. In the proposed algorithm, by the use of projection information in several directions obtained from the texture image we can get two directions which determine the texture structure and the parallelogram grid which isolates texture elements. The isolated texture elements are analyzed and used to synthesize texture images. Computer simulation shows that the proposed method can extract proper spatial structure of the texture element even when the texture image is highly corrupted by additive noise.

  • The effect of bypass diodes on the output energy of solar cells was investigated under the condition of partial shading. The maximum power point was estimated using the perturbation & observation algorithm, taking into account the correlation effect between the arrangement and number of bypass diodes. The performance of the bypass diode was tested under the consideration of the partial shading effect and simulated using a Matlab/Simulink.

  • We develop an algorithm to determine the optimal loading policy, which minimizes the congestion in general queueing networks with variable stations. Under more specified condition, majorization and arrangement ordering are established to compare, respectivity, various loading and assignment policies. Implications of results are also discussed.

  • The selection and operation of tower cranes at construction sites are dependent on the personal experience of engineers in charge of lifting work. It often causes to overestimate the safety factor resulting in increase of construction cost, or underestimate it resulting in disastrous accident. Therefore, selection of tower cranes needs to consider cost, safety and maximum lifting condition. This study, for resolving such problems, was intended to propose the algorithm designed for even the inexperienced person to select the optimal lifting equipment in timely manner. The algorithm presented herein is an optimization algorithm that enables automatic arrangement of tower crane and minimization of costs by analyzing such conditions as vertical height and lifting load, etc.
