  • Nowadays, as the importance of service-oriented architecture software is recognized, the market of service-oriented software is getting bigger. In response to this, the requirements of high reliability and quality about service-oriented architecture software is getting increased. In this research, we clearly suggested the evaluation method by giving a specific evaluation example to evaluate the reliability qualify of service-oriented architecture software. It is expected to raise the objectivity and the utilization by inducing the reliability qualify improvement from this research.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide guidelines for planning, designing and managing neighborhood parks. Results form POE(Post-Occupancy-Evaluation) and RPOE(Re-Post-Occupancy-Evaluation) are analyzed for this study. Bundang Central Park in Bundang Newtown was selected for this study. This study compared the previous POE completed in 1996 with a RPOE conducted in 2001 to find out how the user, proximate environmental context, and the park administration changed in time and apply feedback for purposes of immediate problem solving. The results of this study showed that RPOE has to be initiated and utilized periodically as a device and the guideline for neighborhood park design, conservation, administration and operation.

  • In order to ensure building energy management at an appropriate level continuously, it is necessary to define clearly service work of energy management and to suggest evaluation index whether energy management in buildings is fit and improvement is needed or not. But, evaluation index of energy management level in buildings is not suggested yet in Korea. So, the purpose of this paper is to suggest evaluation index of energy management level in buildings, investigate the present state of Korean buildings and evaluate energy management levels. As a result of surveys of evaluation index of energy management, it is found that portion of level 1, which is the best level, is higher than any other level, level 2, level 3. And, throughout analysis, it is found that as total floor area is larger, evaluation index of energy management level is better, and, in order to increase energy management level, first of all, there is necessary for building's users to change understanding about energy saving and make a reform of national policy of energy management in buildings. Because there is rich relationship between items among evaluation index of this stuff and result value of evaluation index, evaluation index of energy management suggested in this study is available to evaluate energy management level in buildings.

  • Since the education law was changed in 1997, schools for K-12 education are required to build a multi-purpose auditorium which accommodates auditorium and a gymnasium functions. Evaluation of the present status of multi-purpose auditoriums will provide a clear direction for improvements in planning and design stages. The purpose of this research identifies the current status and major drawbacks of the multi-purpose auditorium through applying a performance evaluation tool kit called the Advanced Building Quality Evaluation Techniques(ABQET) and Graphic Analysis of Quality Quotient (GAQQ). In addition, the research will provide future foundations for planning and design methods for a multi-purpose auditorium.

  • WTO/TBT requires that, for technical regulations affecting trade, technical regulatory requirements must be specified where possible in terms of performance rather than design or descriptive characteristics. The movement which made "performance" a keyword in landscape architecture was activated in Japan, one of the leading counties in performance-based regulatory system(PBRS). The Japanese recent movement of systematization activity on performance-based standards and specifications was reviewed and operational applications for performance-based regulatory system in South Korea are summarized as follows: 1. The establishment of performance standards that can be properly evaluated by assessment indicators is necessary in cases when quantitative evaluation is difficult. 2. As a preparation for PBRS, a brief procurement system by technical proposal for the landscape design and construction is necessary. 3. As a preparation for PBRS, activation of an environmental performance evaluation on experimental construction is necessary. 4. As a preparation for PBRS, a certification system of environmental performance on various landscape construction methods is necessary. 5. The Private Finance Initiative Project is the most similar to PBRS therefore, activation of the Private Finance Initiative Project is necessary in landscape architecture projects for park rehabilitation.

A Study on Indicators Selection of Management Effectiveness Evaluation for World Cultural Heritage used by Delphi Technique (델파이 기법을 이용한 세계문화유산의 관리효과성 평가지표 설정에 관한 연구)

  • This research is a progress in order to answer the research question of 'how the listed World Cultural Heritage is being managed now?' the alternate indicators of management effectiveness evaluation were set up based on international principles which were published by UNESCO, ICOMOS etc. Meanwhile the international contents of management and requirements were reflected in the alternate indicators of management effectiveness evaluation. The results were five evaluation categories included context, planning, setting, tourism and community were divided and total 46 alternate indicators in all were selected. In addition, to develop evaluation criteria for Management effectiveness evaluation of world cultural heritage by using Delphi Technique, three rounds of surveys were conducted on a selected expert group to derive and structuralize the evaluation factors. 46 factors got channeled into 32 factors after Delphi survey on appropriateness and credibility. The selected indicators were 7, 6, 7, 6 and 6 respectively in the five evaluation categories. According to the results the follow-up study, it selected management effectiveness evaluation index of world heritage.

A Study on Efficient Test & Evaluation Methods in Naval Ship Acquisitions (함정사업 시험평가의 효율적 수행방안에 관한 연구)

  • The purposes of this study is to identify the problems arising from current Test & Evaluation process of the naval ship acquisition program and to suggest methods to increase the acquisition efficiency. Considering that the present rule of developmental test &evaluation(DT&E) and operational test & evaluation(OT&E) has caused an inefficiency effect on the acquisition procedures due to the limited practices on it, the DT&E and OT&E procedures through test & evaluation master plan(TEMP) is proposed based on the selective practices of the defense instruction articles. Also, considering characteristics of naval ship acquisitions, efficient procedure systems are derived through case analysis results by comparing each performances of the system. The suggested methods are able to meet the requirements of the changed acquisition environments and also increase efficiency of acquisition systems by adoption of DT&E and OT&E combined test scheme.

  • The purpose of this study is to provide a quantitative evaluation index of object-oriented software development productivity for EJB 3.0 and EJB 3.1. A lightweight container architecture is a newly-developed architecture in order to solve demerits that N-Tiers enterprise architecture has and to support merits therein. A lightweight container architecture is not as heavy as EJB(Enterprise JavaBeans) architecture is, whereas it provides all the functionality of the EJB container. However, there have been insufficient studies on a performance evaluation of EJB 3.0 and EJB 3.1 on an identical platform. Since a quantitative analysis has been performed only with respect to a partial LoC(Line of Code) analysis, there have been insufficient objective evaluation indeces and guidelines for a new specification released. Accordingly, there has been limited evaluation of software development productivity and on new innovations in a project. Therefore, this study designed and implemented a movie reservation system in EJB 3.0 and EJB 3.1, which was based on the same development platform environment. This study then intends to provide evaluation guidelines for an objective software development productivity cl LoC(Lineand standardization thereof by development platform environment.

  • This thesis investigates the scanning time ; one of the most important performance index of Programmable Controller(PC). The multiprocessor architecture of the large PC considered in this thesis are classified as architecture 1 and architecture 2 by the bus control methods. The queuing model of each architecture is developed. Form the analysis it is observed that in the case of the number of processors less than 3 the best architecture of the large PC is the architecture 2 and in the case of the number of processors greater than 2 the best architecture of the large PC is the architecture 1.

A Study on the Development of Environmental Indicators and the Evaluation of Environmental Amenity (쾌적환경평가 및 지표개발에 관한 연구 - 경기도를 중심으로 -)

  • In this Study, indicators for the evaluation of environmental amenity were determined through the investigation of the resident's consciousness in all thirty one cities and counties of Kyonggi. Also, environmental amenity that the resident feel in terms of recognition level was evaluated and based on the determined environmental indicators, environmental amenity for the physical environmental situation was evaluated. By analyzing the results, basic data for the planning of the future environmental management were prepared. The results of this study can be summarized as follows First, the developed indicators for the evaluation of environmental amenity consist of four intermediate evaluation items and fifteen individual evaluation items, and fifty four evaluation standards in total . Two to five evaluation standards were determined for the respective individual evaluation items. Second, using the developed indicators, the evaluation of environmental amenity were implemented based on both resident's consciousness and statistical data. Third, by analyzing the difference between two evaluation results, future research plan was proposed.
