  • In this study, it has compared and investigated the architecture of Six-Dynasty in China which was the same period of Baegje. There are no buildings to remain as a Baegje's architecture, but the architectural traces are remained. Especially, the architectural traces in Six-Dynasty are much left in cave temples. The reason to compare the architecture between China and Baegje intends to restore the Baegje's architectural style ultimately. The two countries, China and Baegje, were very close and they traded each other at that time. In the method of comparison, it has been investigated the form, the style and characteristics in each parts such as podium, column base, column, doors and windoors, brackets and roofs. As a result of the study, it has shown that the Baegje's architecture was not splendid compared to the architecture of Six-Dynasty. Baegje developed it's own architectural technique and used it only to the Baegje architecture. Since there was historical records that Baegje sent it's own architectural engineers to surrounding countries, Silla and Japan, it confirms that Baegje's architectural techniques were excellent. We need more time and constant research to restore the Baegje's architectural style ahead of time.

  • 'Lu' is one of the Korean traditional building structure. The architectural characteristics of the 'Lu' can be classified two types with its use. One is single building type and the other is a part of building type within building complex. This study is about the two-storied 'Lu' that was built on part of building complex. 'Lu' built in building complex such like Sa-chal, Hyang-gyo, Seo-won, Jae-sil, has the similar characters. 1. It is built by taking slope site. 2. Ii is one of four buildings that forms court yard. 3. It uses simple building structure on the purpose of openness 4. It can control view with using window. The column type of 'Lu' can be classified with 3 style. These are $5{\times}2$ Kan style, $3{\times}2$ Kan style and $5{\times}3$ Kan style. It would be assumed with the result of study that $5{\times}2$ Kan style has its origin in Hoe-Rang structure, $3{\times}2$ Kan style is originated from Joong-Moon(middle gate) structure, and $5{\times}3$ Kan is originated from Kang-Dang structure.

  • This study has to do with the architectural exchanges between the ancient Korea and China. There are two parts in this paper. The first part is concerned with bibliographical and archeological studies between two regions. The latter part is to compare and syudy the architectural style of china with the architectural style of BAEGJE in those days. At any rate, this paper is related to the first part of them. The most important purpose of this paper is more clearly to inquiry the BAEGJE Architecture. BAEGJE Architecture is the most insufficient in researches of the era of Three Kingdoms' architecture of Korea until now. Because the architectural Matrrials is also the most insufficient condition in Three Kindoms, in order to inquiry the architectural style of BAEGJE clearly, we will be able to get the clue as inquring the relations of the chinese which they exchanged most frequently. The first part of this paper is $appraoc{\sim}ed$ in two methods of the study. One is the biblilographical research and the other is the archeological research. The writer could find that there were many exchage relations in the bibliographocal and archeological fieds, as a result of this study. The writer could confirm that there were nearly coexisting similiar styles of the Architecture.

  • Pinson Hall is a dormitory building of Chosen Christian College, built in 1922, and it still remains comparatively well preserved as original form. This building is worthy in that it shows the living space of western style college in Korea, as well as characteristics of collegiate gothic style and building technology, designed by western architect in 1920s. At first, based on literate review and field survey, this study aims to trace the construction background and process of Pinson Hall, and find out its architectural characteristics with the original form when it is used as dormitory. Additionally, it deals with historic meaning and value of Pinson Hall as a modern western style college dormitory, through comparison with other dormitories in the same era. In conclusion, Pinson Hall is a Western style dormitory which allows students to accustom themselves to Western life style, using bed and desk, as well as it shows the new building technology in the early 1920s which has mixture of masonry and reinforced concrete structure.

From the early time to today, several posts of Office of Korean National Railroads have controlled the Station Buildings Design by Standard Drawings. Sometimes, private architects joined in designing the Stations, that have the value as historic architecture. Under the Japanese imperialistic rule, Japanese Officer designed all of the stations ; that can be classified 1) wooden compromise style, 2) renaissance style, 3) northern European house style, 4) general station by standard drawing, 5) Korean house style. 6) modernism style. Especially, Korean house style was not planned to commemorate the old Korean Architecture, but to beguile the Japanese tourists' monotony of the journey in Korea. After the Independence, the Station Buildings are grouped into 1) international style, 2) modernism style with traditional details, 3) Station Complex Buildings. In the future, design of the Railroad Station Building needs to be diversified to satisfy tourists' emotion.

  • To upgrade home style recommendations and user satisfaction, this paper proposes a personalized and optimized recommendation algorithm for interior design style based on local social network, which includes data acquisition by three-dimensional (3D) model, home-style feature definition, and style association mining. Through the analysis of user behaviors, the user interest model is established accordingly. Combined with the location-based social network of association rule mining algorithm, the association analysis of the 3D model dataset of interior design style is carried out, so as to get relevant home-style recommendations. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm can complete effective analysis of 3D interior home style with the recommendation accuracy of 82% and the recommendation time of 1.1 minutes, which indicates excellent application effect.

  • There have not been many debates on the subject of Korean architecture during the transformative period of Gae Wha Gi (開化期: Enlightenment Period of Korea), when Western-style buildings first appeared in Seoul. This study begins by finding and recording those buildings in Seoul that show the gradual adoption and appropriation of Western architectural elements at the turn of the 20th century. By exploring the confluence of two different architectural styles, this paper attempts to look carefully at the hybrid conditions that resulted from encounters between the Koreans and the Westerners in the late 19th and early 20th century. Beginning with discovering the first products of the Western architectural influence in Seoul, this study explores the uneasy co-existence between the traditional Korean architectural style, and the Western architectural style. This co-existence ultimately bred new building techniques, and interior layouts; the appearance of these hybrid buildings illustrate the gradual transition from the traditional way, in which users modified, combined and appropriated various elements from both styles. Analyzing historical documents and photos, this study tries to capture a detailed image of the period when the influence of the Western architecture had an unavoidable impact and brought change to the traditional architecture of Korea.

  • The main focus of this paper is to apply contemporary aesthetics and psychological study with interior design analysis. Up to now, the methodology of interior design analysis has been developed toward a more qualitative way. By the virtue of the perception , congnition , and information theory, which oriented toward a quantitative approach, it became possible to investigate interior space analysis to a more objective and scientific ways. The purpose of this study is to investigate Modern and Post-Modern interior - architectural style with quantitative analytical method. The subjective interior critique studied by intuitive research will be transferred to scientific way by using quantitative formula . Savoye Villa and Guardiola House were selected as study model, because each architectural works ware regarded as masterpieces of Modern and Post-Modern style. These two oppositional style model will be distinguished with mathematical quantity by calculating Iave , Hmax, and Redundancy formula.
