A new crab spider(Araneae; Thomisidae) from Korea

  • Two species of the genus Oxytate L. Koch, 1878 have been recorded in Korea to date. The spider fauna was surveyed in the mountainous terrain of Mt. Hallasan National Park in 2019. A female of Oxytate lobia sp. nov. was collected with a sweep net between shrubs in mixed forests during a seasonal spider survey and is described with measurements, morphological illustrations, and a diagnosis. The new species can be easily distinguished from similar species within the genus by the long copulatory duct conjugated with a spermatheca, a pair of triangular pits at the bottom, and no ditches.

Descriptions of Clubiona bakurovi and Otacilia ansula sp. nov. (Araneae: Clubionidae and Phrurolithidae) from South Korea

  • The spider fauna of mountains, including national parks, in Korea was intensively surveyed in 2018-2019. During the seasonal surveys, males of Clubiona bakurovi Mikhailov, 1990 (family Clubionidae Wagner, 1887) and Otacilia ansula sp. nov. (family Phrurolithidae Banks, 1892) were collected from shrub foliage and leaf litter, respectively, in mountainous mixed forests. The males of Otacilia ansula sp. nov. can be easily distinguished from those of other its congeners by the slender and hook-shaped retrolateral tibial apophysis, ovoid distal tegular apophysis, and one dorsal spine on the femur with seven pairs of ventral spines on the tibia of leg I. This study provides descriptions of these two species with diagnosis, measurements, and morphological photographs.

  • 애접시거미류 5종을 그림과 함께 기재하였다: 1 신종, Saitonia pilosus n. sp. (털애접시거미), 와 한국미기록종 4종, Ceratinella brevis (Wider, 1834) (껍질애접시거미), Erigone atra Blackwall, 1833 (긴톱날애접시거미), Maso sundevalli (Westring, 1851) (마소애접시거미), 그리고 Parasisis amurensis Eskov, 1984 (대륙애접시거미). 4 속, Ceratinella Emerton, 1882 (껍질애접시거미속), Maso Simon, 1884 (마소애접시거미속), Parasisis Eskov, 1984 (대륙애접시거미속), 그리고 Saitonia Eskov, 1992 (이마애접시거미속), 역시 한국미기록속이다.

경기 화성지역의 농업경관 내 하천유역에 서식하는 토양성거미류 (Ground-inhabiting Spiders (Araneae: Arachnida) of Streamsides in Agricultural Landscape in Hwasung Areas, Gyeonggi-do, Korea)

  • The fauna of spiders in streamsides were surveyed by pitfall trapping at three sites (Gichun-ri, Duckwoo-ri and Haechang-ri) in Paltan-myun in Hwasung areas, Gyeonggi-do. Total 83 spider species and 63 genera belonging to 20 families were identified from 3,128 spiders collected. Species richness and abundance are high in Linyphiidae and Lycosidae and these two groups comprised 60.7% of total collected spiders. Thirty-six species (43.4%) were Iveb builders and 47 species (56.6%) were hunters. This study was the first survey on streamside spiders form Korea and will be valuable in the management of biological resources and description of biodiversity, and augment for utilizing them as a biological control agent in agricultural landscape.

한국산 Phintella속(거미목, 깡충거미과)의 재기재와 다변량분석 (Redescription and Multivariate Analysis of Genus Phintella (Araneae, Salticidae) from Korea)

  • 한국산 Phintella속에 속하는 6종의 기재와 동정은 불충분하고 불확실한 상태에 있다. 본 논문에서는 한국미기록종인 P.popovi를 포함한 7종에 대하여 그림, 검색표와 함께 재기재를 하였고, Wesolowska(198la)에 의하여 한국산으로 보고된 바 있는 Icius munitus를 P. cavaleriei로 synonym처리를 하였다. 또, 본인의 동정과 찍짓기를 검정하기 위하여, 134개체에 대한 표준편차 0.05 이하의 13개 형질비값으로 다변량분석을 실시하였다. 134개체에 대한 13개의 형질비값으로 시행된 판별분석의 결과는 만족스럽지 못하였으나, 13개의 형질비값에 대한 14개 OTU의 평균비값으로 시행된 군집분석의 결과는 다른 쌍들에 비하여 비유성이 큰 P. abnormis를 제외하고 저자의 짝짖기 결과와 일치함을 보여주었다. 완벽한 결과를 보여주지는 못하였으나. 단 한 종만 찍을 만들지 못하였기 때문에 전체 7종의 쌍을 얻을 수는 있었다. 이 방법이 보다 개선되면, 옳바른 짝을 검정하거나 동정할 때 유용하게 사용될 수 있을 것으로 생각된다.
