A methodology for design of reinforced concrete members for serviceability in general and deflection control in particular is presented based on application of utility theory. The approach is based on minimizing total cost including both initial construction and cost of failure considering variability in structural behavior and various forms of serviceability loss function. The method is demonstrated for the case of a simply supported slab for example.

The RMS statistical approach has demonstrated its potential in developing pharmaceutical dosage forms and in improving tabletting performance. Using an optimized formula, the tabletting performances of vitamin C-90 such as compressibility, disintegration time, lubrication and friability are significantly enhanced when compared with the performance of a traditional test formula. More important, this method also enables us to serve our customers better. Any customized modification of a suggested formula or any technical problem related performance etc. can be readily resolved by simple examination of the models.

Lighting is the most critical aspect of any machine vision application. Choosing the proper lighting scheme can result in increased accuracy, system reliablity, and response time. Many goof applications have failed for the lack of appropriate lighting. It is a serious and costly mistake to assume that inadequate lighting can be compensated for in an algorithm Therefore, this paper will cover the most commonly used forms of lighting methods.

In this paper, by introducing some parameters we establish an extension of Hardy-Hilbert's integral inequality and the corresponding inequality for series. As an application, the reverses, some particular results and their equivalent forms are considered.

Cyclodextrin glucanotransferase (CGTase) and endoxylanase genes of Bacillus sp. were subcloned down-stream of yeast ADH1 promoter and expressed in S. cerevisiae. Most of the CGTase and endoxylanase expressed were detected in the extracellular medium with activity of 0.6 and 7-8 unit/ml, respectively. The recombinant enzymes were secreted as N-linked-glycosylated forms, resulting an enhanced thermal stability. CGTase predominantly produced $\alpha-cyclodextrin$ from starch and endoxylanase produced xylobiose and xylotriose from xylan.

Bluetooth is the wireless solution which lay emphasis on Short Range, Low Power, Low Cost using a 2.4GHz frequency hopping. And the wireless interface of digital machinery and the various application studies, which are based on that, is making progress lively. This paper provides "Ethernet Connection for Bluetooth Piconet". Ethernet Connection is usually used in our life and can make the Connection of Internet for Bluetooth Piconet. Therefore, this system forms the basis of "Home or Office Remote Control System".

The robust stability problems for nominally linear system with nonlinear, structured perturbations arc considered with Lyapunov direct method. The Lyapunov direct method has been utilized to determine the bounds for nonlinear, time-dependent functions which can be tolerated by a stable nominal system. In most cases quadratic forms are used either as components of vector Lyapunov function or as a function itself. The resulting estimates are usually conservative. As it is known, often the conservatism of the bounds we propose to use a piecewise quadratic Lyapunov function. An example demonstrates application of the proposed method.

I discuss the preliminary version of an investigative software, GSE, - Genetic 3D Surface Explorer, in which genetic operations interact with AutoCAD to generate novel 3D Forms for the Architect. GSE allows us to comment on design issues concerning computer aided design tools based on evolutionary algorithms.

An information structure of large size hypermedia application is usually hierarchical, and the sibling nodes in this structure have same or similar tags and contents. a word "개그" that means the common set of sibling nodes in the hierarchical information structure is used in this paper. It proposes a design method that divides form and content from nodes and it proposes HTML page generation algorithm from forms and contents. This method has reusability of form, maintainability of documents and reduction of cost for authoring.
