  • The widely used medical isotope technetium-99 m (99mTc) is a daughter of Molybdenum-99 (99Mo), which is mainly produced using dedicated research reactors from the nuclear fission of uranium-235 (235U). 99mTc has been used for several decades, which covers about 80% of the all the nuclear diagnostics procedures. Recently, the instability of the supply has become an important topic throughout the international radioisotope communities. The aging of major 99Mo production reactors has also caused frequent shutdowns. It has triggered movements to establish new research reactors for 99Mo production, as well as the development of various 99Mo production technologies. In this context, a new research reactor project was launched in 2012 in Korea. At the same time, the development of fission-based 99Mo production process was initiated by Korea Atomic Energy Research Institute (KAERI) in 2012 in order to be implemented by the new research reactor. The KAERI process is based on the caustic dissolution of plate-type LEU (low enriched uranium) dispersion targets, followed by the separation and purification using a series of columns. The development of proper waste treatment technologies for the gaseous, liquid, and solid radioactive wastes also took place. The first stage of this process development was completed in 2018. In this paper, the results of the hot test production of fission 99Mo using HANARO, KAERI's 30 MW research reactor, was described.

The quality expense where the most is caused by but with increase of production initial quality problem occurrence is increasing to is actuality. Like this confirmation amendment. with the problem which is forecast in the place development at the initial stage which it does completeness it does not confront not to be able, production phase to be imminent, the problem accumulates and it talks the development shedding of which occurs. In opposition, prediction confrontation. is forecast in development early stage to and it is a structure which does not occur a problem to production early stage. Like this development is a possibility of accomplishing competitive company from production phase. Which attains an goal of, chance cause it leads a APQP activity (common cause) with special cause prevention & detection the connection characteristic of the focus technique against a interaction is important. And the customer requirement satisfaction and must convert a APQP goal of attainment at the key characteristics action step. • Along with the trend of internet use, various web application developments have been performed to provide information that was managed in the internal database on the web by making a web server page. However, in most cases, a direct program was made without a systematic developmental methodology or with the application of a huge developmental methodology that is inappropriate and decreased the efficiency of the development. A web application that fails to follow a systematic developmental methodology and uses a script language can decrease the productivity of the program development, maintenance, and reuse. In this thesis, the auto writing tool for a dynamic web server page was designed and established by using a database for web application development based on a fast and effective script. It suggests a regularized script model and makes a standardized script for the data bound control tag creator by analyzing a dynamic web server page pattern with the database in order to contribute to productivity by being used in the web application development and maintenance.

  • The ultimate goal of satellite development is to use information obtained from satellites. Therefore, national-levelsatellite development program should include not only hardware development, but also infrastructure establishment and application technology development for information utilization. Until now, Korea has developed various satellites and has been very useful in weather and maritime surveillance as well as various disasters. In particular, KOMPSAT (Korea Multi-purpose Satellite) images have been used extensively in agriculture, forestry and marine fields based on high spatial resolution, and has been widely used in research related to precision mapping and change detection. This special issue aims to introduce a variety of recent studies conducted using KOMPSAT optical and SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) images and to disseminate related satellite image application technologies to the public sector.

  • Recently, the development of UAV application system using augmented reality (AR) has received much attention. In general, the design and implementation of UAV application system are verified with SILS techniques before actual flight experiments. However, existing SILS environment cannot be used to verify the application system based on AR and UAV because it does not include key features related to AR. To overcome this problem, we proposed an SILS platform that could be effectively used for the development of application systems based on AR and UAV. Simulation results on accuracy, efficiency, and scalability show that the proposed platform could be effectively utilized for the development of AR and UAV based-application systems.

  • This experiment was carried out to clarify the causes of sterility in terms of pollination characteristics for the sterile-type cold damage as influenced by amount of nitrogen application and shading conditions in rice plants. The results obtained are as follows: The number of young microspore per anther was not changed greatly by amount of nitrogen application. The number of ripened pollen grains per anther decreased according to increase in nitrogen application and shading degree, but the anther length and stigma length were not significantly affected by those factors. The number of pollen grains on stigma decreased by intense shading. The fertility decreased with increased nitrogen application and intensified shading. The elongation of auricle distance per day was less in less nitrogen application and intense shading. The internode length of the first and the second from the top were shortened with intense shading, but that of the fourth was elongated. The number of spikelet per panicle decreased with increase in shading intensity.

  • This study designed, developed and evaluated an application to improve the social skills of students with Autism Spectrum Disorders(ASD) based on the stage of the ADDIE model. The design stage aimed to factor in the characteristics and needs of students with ASD, and created guide maps and story boards accordingly. In the development stage, the application was made through a total of fourteen processes and four official tests. In the evaluation stage, heuristic usability evaluation was conducted on 10 teachers based on the their experience of using the application in the implementation stage. The results of the evaluation were all close to 'very good' in the areas of educational value, content implementation technology, content information and convenience. Finally, the application was fully developed after reflecting the corrections in accordance with the result of the usability evaluation. It is expected that this study have a role in invigorating the development of special educational software content.

  • As the use of various IoT devices increases, the importance of IoT platforms is also rising. Recently, artificial intelligence technology is being combined with IoT devices, and research applying a neuromorphic architecture to IoT devices with low power is also increasing. In this paper, an application scenario is proposed based on NA-IDE (Neuromorphic Architecture-based autonomous IoT application integrated development environment) with IoT devices and FPGA devices in a GUI format. The proposed scenario connects a camera module to an IoT device, collects MNIST dataset images online, recognizes the collected images through a neuromorphic board, and displays the recognition results through a device module connected to other IoT devices. If the neuromorphic architecture is applied to many IoT devices and used for various application services, the autonomous IoT application integrated development environment based on the neuromorphic architecture is expected to emerge as a core technology leading the 4th industrial revolution.

  • In order to evaluate the effect of nitrogen application levels on yield and protein content of rice varieties, a field experiment was conducted at National Institute of Crop Science of Korea in 2020. Five levels(0, 3, 5, 7, and 9 kg·10a-1) of nitrogen fertilizer were treated to six Korean rice varieties. The nitrogen uptake amount, soil nitrogen content before and after rice cultivation, milled rice yield, and protein content in head rice were analyzed. As the treatment of nitrogen fertilizer increased, the nitrogen uptake amount of plants increased significantly. However, changes in nitrogen content in the soil before and after rice cultivation were different for each cultivar. The amount of nitrogen change in the soil decreased as the amount of nitrogen application increased in the three cultivars of Haepum, Gopum, and Odae, and the other three cultivars showed the opposite trend. As a result of correlation analysis of nitrogen application amount, nitrogen uptake amount, milled rice yield, and protein content of head rice, the five varieties except for Haepum showed a high correlation between these factors. The amount of nitrogen application and nitrogen uptake of plant showed a positive correlation about the milled rice yield and protein content of head rice. In particular, the protein content in head rice appeared to be more affected by nitrogen uptake amount than nitrogen application amount. As a result of this study, the yield and protein content of rice had positive correlations with the level of nitrogen fertilizer, and had a high correlation with the nitrogen absorption of plants.
