Selection procedures of earth retention systems are increasingly complex and directly related to the serviceability of the retaining structure selection systems since significant changes in earth retention technology motivates the review of design, and selection processes of earth retaining structures. Collection and classification of retaining structure selection knowledge are key issues because two expert groups, geotechnical and structural engineers, are mainly involved in the retaining structure selection. The course of natural tendency of expert knowledge are investigated considering the decision factors. The decision factors for selecting retaining structures are divided into four categories: application of the structure, and spatial, behavior, and economic constraints.

Recently remote sensing technology is applied for construction projects planning and design areas by use of high resolution satellite images according to engineering application technology in the various experimental tasks. In this study, It was applied for optimum route selection methods and basic design by comparing to present railway and new expand dual railway route on the new construction plan path of 20km at national railway lines, and then showed 3-dimensional images and fly simulation images to possibility for various application as low cost and short time compare to airplane and helicopters survey methods. As a results of its applied, It gained the results not only improvement of present methods but also real various application possibilities.

Recently companies are aggressively Pushing ahead with integrating the systematical applications of internal and external information systems such as Data level, Application level, Process level in the company, Process level between companies. The EAI solution is generally considered as the necessary tool to integrate companies, but the appraisal standard for the EAI solution has not Vet settled in Korea, so the companies have difficulty in deciding whether to adopt the EAI solution or not. Through this report, we first introduce the KRA Project as the best practice in making an application of the settled standard to evaluate and adopt the EAI solution, and then suggest that it can be adapted to companies considering applying to the EAI solution.

In this paper, we propose a prototype of the SpeechWeb application using the information selection agent. We describe its design and implementation method and illustrated the processing results with the aid of some screenshots. Proposed SpeechWeb application presents the associated contents to the user by the aid of dynamic voice-anchors. These contents are presented using the apriori algorithm, which is one of data mining techniques. The application is better than the existing user-initiative structure from the viewpoint of making the user's interesting induction. Moreover, we believe that our proposed application is effective in information retrieval through wired and wireless telephone networks.

This research has suggested a method to select pipe wall thickness by application of the value engineering to reduce the cost and quantity that are major part of construction materials. This research shows that the application of value engineering reduces the cost of piping materials by optimizing pipe wall thickness while maintaining process flow date of design pressure and design temperature. Based on this knowledge, the application of the value engineering will lead to the cost reduction and quantity reduction by effective selection of pipe wall thickness. The application of the value engineering will help the EPC companies to win a contract in the overseas plant market.

본 연구는 20대 소비자를 대상으로 뷰티제품의 모바일 쇼핑동기와 애플리케이션 속성을 분석하고 모바일 쇼핑동기가 뷰티 어플리케이션의 속성과 어플리케이션의 채택에 미치는 영향을 분석하였으며 그 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 모바일 쇼핑동기는 유희성, 편리성, 충동성으로 구분되었으며 뷰티 어플리케이션 속성은 콘텐츠, 커뮤니티, 지속적 관리로 분류되었다. 둘째, 모바일 쇼핑동기는 선호하는 뷰티 모바일 어플리케이션 채택에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났는데 유희성은 뷰티 전문브랜드 앱과 뷰티쇼핑몰 앱에, 충동성은 온라인 종합 쇼핑몰 앱과 뷰티커뮤니티 앱에, 편리성은 TV홈쇼핑 기반 앱에 영향력이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 모바일 쇼핑동기는 뷰티 어플리케이션 속성에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 콘텐츠 속성에는 유희성, 편리성, 충동성이 유의한 영향이 나타났고, 커뮤니티 속성에는 유희성이, 지속적 관리에는 충동성이 영향력이 있는 것으로 나타났다.

There have been dramatic technology changes in telecommunication sector during last two decades. New application services like the introduction of international mobile services, fiber optical home services and satellite personal services are expected to play a major role in the whole field of telecommunication services. In the users' viewpoint, the proper selection and the efficient application of the specific telecommunication service among the various alternatives at hand are recognized as principle means for ensuring the whole business competitiveness. Despite the definite need for the telecommunication service selection strategies, very few researches have been reported in this field. In this paper, attempts are made to identify the companies' decision factors considered in selecting the telecommunication services, to draw the strategic dimensions and categorize each company with respect to the identified dimensions, and to finally find the characteristics of each strategic group in selecting the telecommunication service.

A power system designer may have difficulties in choosing a suitable multiple-input converter topology for a specific target application because each multiple-input converter topology presented in the literature has its own advantages and disadvantages. In this perspective, this paper presents a systematic topology selection method for multiple-input converters with three comparison criteria including cost-saving effect, modularity potential and flexibility. Based on these criteria, this paper proposes a strategic flow chart example for choosing a proper multiple-input converter topology. This flow chart will provide a powerful selection tool to a power system designer when he or she chooses a specific multiple-input converter for a given application.

This paper demonstrates the application of a Quality Function Deployment (QFD) and Zero-One Goal Programming model for selecting interdependent information system project selection, there are a few research for interdependent IS project selection. Effective project evaluation necessities incorporating the many conflicting objectives of decision maker(s) into decision models. Among the many proposed methodologies of multi-criteria decision making (MCDM), Goal Programming (GP) is the most popular and widely used. The model departs from an earlier GP formulation of the problem that suggested QFD method for selection of priorities among the considered attributes or criteria. The application of the proposed methodology illustrated through an example.

In this paper, we propose a new conjugate gradient method for solving unconstrained optimization models. By using exact and strong Wolfe line searches, the proposed method possesses the sufficient descent condition and global convergence properties. Numerical results show that the proposed method is efficient at small, medium, and large dimensions for the given test functions. In addition, the proposed method was applied to solve practical application problems in portfolio selection.
