The purpose of this study was to investigate not only the change and characterisitics of armours design, item, and material but also the social change which was represented them from the ancient to the middle age. The result of the study as follows : 1. In the ancient, a painting tattoing, and scar had used to express a threating attitude or fear instead of armour. Also the natural material including leather and fur had used for armour's material and it caused by their life style. 2. The change of war method and appearance of new arms introduced the various kinds of armours, helmets, materials, etc. 3. In various parts of Europe, armour's design and material were indicated similar character. 4. Armour's color and a flag were used by a means that distinguish between region and nation.

In the late of 1990s, a super-high-rise residential started with the concept corresponding to a natural view, as the habitants' desire for spaciousness worked on an initiative factor. The appearance of the new style of residential form was encouraged and habitants' items desired were increased by the security of spaciousness for view. The purpose of this study is to understand spatial trans orientation through the plan type focusing the recent case study of super-high-rise and to interpretate spatial changes of residential space following it. For the case study, 20 apartments(or apartment complex) were selected from more than 25 storied super-high -rise located in Seoul and the metropolitan area. On the other hand, the objective facts about super-high-rise were cited in the results of the established studies and the selected cases were extracted from a catalogue and internet

To standardize the recipes for healthy fast food market potentiality, a sensory acceptability analysis, instrumental texture analysis and nutritional evaluation were performed on Korean style mung bean pancake (MPC) and modified MPC containing squid meat and soybean. Optimal ingredient formulation was revealed to be 34% mung bean, 49% pork and 17% vegetables for traditional MPC, and 21% pork, 66% squid meat and 13% soybean for modified MPC, using response surface methodology. Flavor and hardness correlated highly with overall acceptability, rather than appearance and color of traditional MPC. Higher squid levels raised adhesiveness, springiness and resilience of modified MPC, but the higher soybean levels decreased these textural attributes. Protein, lipid and total calories of modified MPC were lower than those of traditional MPC. Degree of gelatinization of modified MPC was superior to traditional MPC.

This study aims to clarify the characteristics of townhouse corresponding to the changing life style for the future, and suited to the small and medium urban areas of Korea(focused on Chongju area) from its traditionality and regionality's point of view. The results of this study are as follows; 1. The traditional design elements of Chongju area : 1) A court; a court of inner building - light, wind. 2) A balcony; intermediate space, cornice. 3) Eave line; a horizontal line for approach. 2. The regional design elements of Chongju area : 1) Maintenance of skyline which had the same building height as strip of road. 2) The formal spatial design elements to think about natural view. 3) Simple appearance and delicate detail.

In this paper, the mechanism that works by using eight legs is proposed. The walker has eleven bars instead of wheel, it shows a Biologically-inspired movement method. their driving appearance is very similar with creature which walks by its legs. For example, a crab and spider so on. This mechanism has simple style that can expand its size and attach more legs beside. For the competition regulation, we had to find working parts in the science box and some other things that can be found easily in the surroundings only usual material. The mission is making a machine that is enable to pass obstacle and to walk well. This paper followed the rules by regulation.

This study is about the interactive self-portrait which provides the experience of self-consciousness reflection of the viewer to modern people who are easily alienated in rapid social change. We proposed interactive self-portrait is implemented by an interactive mirror that reproduces the appearance of the viewer acquired using a webcam. The interactive mirror, which can directly project its own image, is drawn by searching news articles in real time and using the extracted characters as pixel information in real time. The viewer has the opportunity to experience a new style of active self-expression while watching his/herself composed of news characters that are issues of modern society. The virtual self-portrait designed with news characters can attract viewers' attention by visually expressing the interests of modern people and can act as an incentive to generate positive interaction.

The emergence of coffee shops and other public spaces in modern Shanghai shows the appearance of the "mass" centered on the middle class. Furthermore, we can further explore the different development paths of the publicity of modern Chinese urban society. The emergence of new public leisure spaces, such as cafes, provides a model of modern life style and a stage of daily publicity for the middle class in Shanghai. With the convenience provided by this kind of public space, people are able to clean up their old opinions and be better at accepting new ideas. A more sensitive and flexible public opinion of Enlightenment has gradually formed in urban life.

This paper focuses on 'clean(cheong: 淸)' kinds of style terminologies among various style terminologies appearing in Heo Gyun's Seongsushihwa("惺?詩話") and tries to analyze the distinctive points which 'clean(cheong: 淸)' kinds of style terminologies include. In Heo Gyun's Seongsushihwa, 11 of 'clean' kinds of style terminologies, such as "cheonggyeong(淸勁), cheonghryang(淸亮), cheongryeo(淸麗), cheongseom(淸贍), cheongso(淸?), cheongweol(淸越), cheongjang(淸壯), cheongjeol(淸絶), cheongjeol(淸切), cheongchang(淸?), cheongcho(淸楚)," were used. This paper focuses and analyzes 'cheonggyeong(淸勁)', 'cheongjeol(淸切)', 'cheongcho(淸楚)', and 'cheongweol(淸越)' that he suggested through applying to real literary pieces. The result of analysis indicates that 'clean' kinds of style terminologies 'cheonggyeong', 'cheongjeol', 'cheongcho', and 'cheongweol' share the same 1st character 'clean(淸)', yet have distinctive qualities by the 2nd characters. These 4 style terminologies all share 'cheong(淸)' image which means clear and clean, yet each one has the attribute of the 2nd character that indicates each one's individual characteristic. It is apparent that 'Cheonggyeong(淸勁)' reflects the 'gyeong(勁)' image meaning upright and solid and implies poems of poets' steadfast spirit within clear boundary; 'cheongjeol(淸切)' reflects the 'jeol(切)' image meaning either desperation and imminence or pitifulness and sorrow and implies poems of poets' urgent and pitiful emotions within clear and clean boundary; 'cheongcho(淸楚)' reflects the 'cho(楚)' image meaning either delicacy and fineness or slenderness and tenderness and implies poems of poets' beautiful but not luxurious, delicate and tender emotions within clear and clean boundary; and 'cheongweol(淸越)' reflects the image of 'weol(越)' meaning unworldliness and excellency and implies poems, within clear and clean boundary, of excellent appearance and mentality surpassing mundane world. Compared with the 1st character's attributes of the style terminologies which Heo Gyun used, the 2nd characters's attributes do not appear that vivid. Especially, in the case that the 2nd characters have similar meanings, it is not easy to clarify the categories. Indeed, in order to grasp clear and distinctive qualities of style terminologies, the kinds of them need to be initially categorized by the 1st characters, and then sorted by the 2nd characters. In this case, the contents which the 2nd characters of style terminologies indicate should be considered. It is because style terminologies explain both literary pieces' aesthetic qualities and writers' personalities, and because explanations about literary pieces' aesthetic qualities includes not only the conclusive poetic or semantic boundaries which literary pieces' created but also literary pieces' creation processes and expression techniques. Through the style terminologies with Heo Gyun used in Seongsushihwa, it can be aware that he evaluated poems focussing more on the conclusive semantic boundaries that poets' spirits and poems created than expression techniques or creation methods. The overall aspects Heo Gyun's such style criticism has will be checked out in more detail through further studies by examining more materials.

Most marketing practitioners prospect that the beauty industry, which consists of various services and product related to the beauty, will be one of major industries in future. Thus they have been paying more attention to dramatic changes of the beauty industry. Furthermore they have been trying to differentiate their services and products from existing ones because of the tough competition in the market. For scientific marketing of the beauty services and beauty products, the beauty should be able to be measured. However marketing practitioners have no actual method to measure the beauty. In this study, we tried to find the beauty dimensions which are necessary to measure the beauty, based on Langmeyer and Shank(1994)'s study. We collected a total 258 samples as data through survey on university students, and explored the beauty dimension related to human attractiveness, and derived the implications for measuring the beauty. Based on the quantitative analysis, we derived the 4 beauty dimensions related to human attractiveness. The two of them were the inner beauty dimensions(energetic personality and thoughtful personality) whereas the others were the outer beauty dimensions(appearance and style). Additionally we analyzed if the variables, which are gender, perceived social value of beauty, and appearance satisfaction, affect on respondents' beauty perception. The empirical results showed that the beauty perception in the derived beauty dimensions is affected by the perceived social value of beauty and the appearance satisfaction: 1)The both of the inner beauty and the outer beauty are evaluated more positively when the appearance satisfaction is higher, 2)The outer beauty is evaluated more positively than the inner beauty when the perceived social value of beauty is higher.

The Picturesque Style of the $18{\sim}19th$ Century Romantic landscape gardening had features of both irregularity and variety. These features were applied to $19{\sim}20th$ Century urbanism, which was called 'Urban Picturesque'. Preceding research has found that pedestrians take more interest in streets modeled after 'Urban Picturesque' principles mainly focused on physical appearance. further development of this research was undertaken through an experiment focused on pedestrian activity as well as physical factors through a case study of the Duksugung-gil, Insadong-gil and Myoungdong-gil. The results of the research are as follows. Although the physical conditions of the street in Duksugung are fitted more on Urban Picturesque principles than the other two case studies, the degree of pedestrian interest was highest for the street in Insadong due to excellence both in physical appearance and the diversity of cultural activities available in it. In conclusion, it can be said that to achieve the fdl effect of a Picturesque urban scene, a diversity of place-appropriate activities related to socio-cultural programs should be combined with an excellent physical appearance.
