The feature extraction using remotely sensed imagery has been recognized one of the important tasks in remote sensing applications. As the high-resolution imagery are widely used to the engineering purposes, need of more accurate feature information also is increasing. Especially, in case of the automatic extraction of linear feature such as road using mid or low-resolution imagery, several techniques was developed and applied in the mean time. But quantitatively comparative analysis of techniques and case studies for high-resolution imagery is rare. In this study, we implemented a computer program to perform and compare GDPA (Gradient Direction Profile Analysis) algorithm and Hough transformation. Also the results of applying two techniques to some images were compared with road centerline layers and boundary layers of digital map and presented. For quantitative comparison, the ranking method using commission error and omission error was used. As results, Hough transform had high accuracy over 20% on the average. As for execution speed, GDPA shows main advantage over Hough transform. But the accuracy was not remarkable difference between GDPA and Hough transform, when the noise removal was app]ied to the result of GDPA. In conclusion, it is expected that GDPA have more advantage than Hough transform in the application side.

A cell phone is very close to the user and therefore should be considered in digital forensic investigation. Recently, the proportion of smartphone owners is increasing dramatically. Unlike the feature phone, users can utilize various mobile application in smartphone because it has high-performance operating system (e.g., Android, iOS). As acquisition and analysis of user data in smartphone are more important in digital forensic purposes, smartphone forensics has been studied actively. There are two way to do smartphone forensics. The first way is to extract user's data using the backup and debugging function of smartphones. The second way is to get root permission, and acquire the image of flash memory. And then, it is possible to reconstruct the filesystem, such as YAFFS, EXT, RFS, HFS+ and analyze it. However, this methods are not suitable to recovery and analyze deleted data from smartphones. This paper introduces analysis techniques for fragmented flash memory pages in smartphones. Especially, this paper demonstrates analysis techniques on the image that reconstruction of filesystem is impossible because the spare area of flash memory pages does not exist and the pages in unallocated area of filesystem.
This study was conducted for the purpose of developing an education program using smart apps that supports free play of children based on STEAM education and verifying its effectiveness. In order to achieve the purpose of the study, contents for using smart apps based on STEAM education for children's free play were derived through literature and data collection and field surveys in related fields, and a program was developed based on this. This program is a teaching strategy in which teachers and children interact at the start, middle, and end of free play using the 'Free Play' app installed on a smartphone. An experimental study was conducted to verify the effectiveness of the program using smart apps that support children's free play. The present study aims to identify the factors that affect the continuous use and discontinuance of the hospital information seeking applications(hospital apps thereafter) by employing the post acceptance model. The surveys were conducted with people who used the hospital apps from October 11 to 18, 2019. Researchers collected 125 valid data and analyzed them by using the structural equation model. The study found that the satisfaction and confirmation of expectation for the hospital apps users had significant effects on intention for continuous use and perceived usefulness, respectively. However, the perceived usefulness did not have a significant effect on the intention for continue use. The present study has identified the variables that influence the continuous use of these innovative technologies. The findings of the study confirmed the post acceptance model by observing the adoption and use of the hospital apps and extended the literature of the post acceptance model by discussing the unique characteristics of the hospital apps that satisfy the urgent help-seekers under emergency situations or the information needs emphasizing promptness. In addition, based on the benefits and limitations of hospital apps reported by consumers, the study provided practical implications for designing more user-friendly apps to hospital app developers or managers.

Due to the improvement of surveying, mapping and communication techniques, various apps for road direction guides and vehicle navigations have been developed. Although such a development has impacted on walking and driving, there is a limit to improving the daily convenience of the socially impaired people. This is mainly due to the fact that the software have been developed for normal pedestrians and drivers. Therefore, visually impaired people still have problems with the confusion of direction and/or non-provision of risk factors in walking. This study aimed to propose a scheme which constructs data for mobility-impaired or traffic-impaired people based on various geospatial information. The factors and components related to walking for the visually impaired are selected by geospatial data and a walking route guidance network that can be applied to a commercial software. As a result, it was confirmed that road direction guidance would be possible if additional contents, such as braille blocks (dotted/linear), sound signals, bus stops, and bollards are secured. In addition, an initial version of the application software was implemented based on the suggested data model and its usefulness was evaluated to a visually impaired person. To advance the stability of the service in walking for the visually impaired people, various geospatial data obtained by multiple institutes are necessary to be combined, and various sensors and voice technologies are required to be connected and utilized through ICT (Information and Communications Technologies) technology in near future.
With the development of blockchain technology, play-to-earn (P2E) games, one of the decentralized applications (dApps), are receiving great social attention. P2E games are positively evaluated as areas with high growth potential based on blockchain technology, and at the same time, they are negatively evaluated as speculative as people can cash P2E game items in the form of cryptocurrency. In this situation, the purpose of this study is to investigate factors affecting the intention to use P2E games. Along with the discussion of hedonic system adoption, we consider the factors with perceived enjoyment, economic incentive, and social influence. In order to verify our research model, data were collected from 350 adults with P2E game experience or recognition, and a structural equation model was carried out. The analysis results find that perceived enjoyment and subjective norm have a significant positive effect on the intention to use P2E games, and economic incentive does not have a significant effect. In addition, peer influence and external influence have a significant positive effect on subjective norm. Drawing on these findings, we present several academic and practical implications for future research.

Physical activities are decreasing and sitting time is increasing due to the automation, smartization, and intelligence of necessary household items throughout daily life. Recent healthcare studies have reported that the likelihood of obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and early death increases in proportion to sitting time. In this paper, we develop a sitting posture correction cushion in real time using capacitive pressure sensor based on conductive textile. It develops a pressure sensor using conductive textile, a key component of the posture correction cushion, and develops a low power-based pressure measurement circuit. It provides a function to transmit sensor values measured in real time to smartphones using BLE short-range wireless communication on the posture correction cushion, and develops a mobile application to check the condition of the sitting posture through these sensor values. In the mobile app, you can visualize your sitting posture and check it in real time, and if you keep it in the wrong posture for a certain period of time, you can notify it through an alarm. In addition, it is possible to visualize the sitting time and posture accuracy in a graph. Through the correction cushion in this paper, we experiment with how effective it is to correct the user's posture by recognizing the user's sitting posture, and present differentiation and excellence compared to other product.
This study uses the bidet 4D double diamond design process model to propose an improvement for "senior-oriented bidet product service design" that reflects the characteristics and needs of seniors. This study was based on the product service system concept. To this end, qualitative research on seniors was conducted to derive user value factors, and, based on this, product service ideas were discovered, and a prototype reflecting the usefulness review of a working-level expert group was proposed. First, a "smart application service for user-customized function setting guide" was proposed. A bidet incorporating Internet of Things technology and a smart phone are linked to provide an app service that automatically interprets user characteristic information and information on bidet products to guide customized functions. Second, a control panel and remote control user interface to "user-oriented product service interface" was proposed. In consideration of the usability and cognitive ability of seniors, a simple and intuitive physical user interface such as a configuration centered on main functions, button arrangement according to task sequence, and a touch screen remote control was presented. Third, we proposed a "bidet care service linked with products and health/hygiene care" that provides a wide range of services such as user health and hygiene, cleanliness, entertainment, etc., in addition to regular bidet product service. This study proposed a product-based service design methodology that can improve user experience and relationship quality by discovering and improving the pain points and needs of users (seniors) in the process of using bidet products (before, during, and after use).

Purpose: Automated External Defibrillator (AED) usage in out-of-hospital cardiac arrests (OHCAs) improves the survival of patients. In Singapore, public AEDs are protected by locked boxes with a 'break glass' mechanism to deter theft. Community responders have sustained injuries while breaking glass to retrieve AEDs. This unprecedented study aimed to elucidate the factors influencing successful retrieval of an AED and to document the prevalence of injuries. Methods: A survey was created and distributed. Participants were required to have responded to an OHCA in the past 12 months. Comparison tests were performed with the Fischer-Freeman-Halton Exact test or Pearson chi square test at 5% significance levels, and with multiple logistic regression with a logit link function. Results: Eighty-eight participants were eligible. The success of retrieving an AED was found not to be impacted by occupation, age, gender or time. Participants who responded to an OHCA because of activation by the myResponder App were more likely to retrieve an AED successfully. (AOR 11.111, 95% CI: 2.141-58.824) Conclusion: Use of the myResponder mobile application is associated with the greater success of retrieving an AED. Successful retrieval of an AED is not impacted by time, gender, age, or the occupation of the responder. Community responders in Singapore remain motivated to respond to Cardiac Arrests despite risk of injury.
In this study, the definition of "digital therapeutics" was clarified by examining related studies, and the development trend of digital therapeutics at the domestic level was investigated. Further, research data and technologies applied to various communication disorders since 2015 were analyzed. From all these, digital therapeutics can be defined as software that can support evidence-based treatment when used on patients to prevent, manage, and treat disorders With huge investments and research efforts increasingly made in the field of digital therapeutics, 17 of the 22 studies examined were on digital therapeutics applied in the treatment of language disorders. In the research papers examined, the technologies applied were virtual reality and augmented reality, with augmented reality used in most cases. The effects of applying digital treatment were positive, and most studies focused on content development in relation to the development of digital treatment, although one study was conducted for app development. Future studies could examine the application of digital therapeutics to more diverse communication disorder subjects. Active government support is expected in developing more sophisticated software that can be applied using a wider range of technologies in the field of digital therapeutics to treat more communication disorders.
