  • Purpose - Organizational individuals can gain profit from any trials and errors concerning the knowledge others have been able to accumulate. The culture also states the organizational behaviors by identifying the principal aims, and the way members handle personal relationships. This study aims that how corporate cultures can be connected with particular occupations. Research design, Data, and methodology - For the systematic review in prior literature dataset, the present author used the PRISMA which is a set of items that are evidence-based and utilized in reporting systematic reviews. It includes the reporting of meta-analyses. Result - The present author figured out that corporate culture is one of the most crucial factors that workers consider in deciding whether or not they want to be employed in an organization. Having an excellent corporate culture sets the company apart from the competition and increases the company's status to new positions of recruiting and business success Conclusion - The current research concluded that possessing an excellent corporate culture positions the company apart from the competition but boosts the company to new recruiting and business success levels. The two traits of an excellent corporate culture include the culture allowing every individual in the organization to succeed, and the culture works for every individual involved.

  • This study estimated influences of the Ulsan Fault on tectonic movement and uplift characteristics in the Eastern Block of the Ulsan Fault. The averaged uplift rate in the Northern Coast of the Eastern Block was 0.202 m/ka, while the site in Seokbyeong-ri, Guryongpo-eup, Pohang-si, showed relatively high rate of 0.249 m/ka, attributable to influences of small fault movement, called the Gangsa Fault. Higher averaged rate of 0.270 m/ka than in the Northern Coast was calculated in the Southern Coast of the Eastern Block. The site in north of Haseo-ri, Yangnam-myeon, Gyeongju-si, showed the highest rate, suggesting influences of the Eupcheon Fault. The Western Block of the Ulsan Fault indicated the averaged rate of 0.208 m/ka, similar to that of the Northern Coast. The sites approximately 10 km apart from the Ulsan Fault showed 1.3 times higher rate in the Eastern Block than in the Western Block, while similar rates were calculated in the sites >20 km apart from the Ulsan Fault. These distributions of the rate suggest that the Ulsan Fault has significantly influenced development of marine terrace and tectonic movement in the study area, while local fault movements have also played a role.

Air Pollution Effects on Soil Chemical Properties, Lichens, Denitrifying and Sulfur-Reducing Bacteria Around the Yeochun Industrial Estate (여천공단의 대기오염이 토양의 화학적 특성, 지의류, 탈질균 및 황산환원균에 미치는 영향)

  • Air pollution effects on soil chemical properties, denitrifying and sulfur-reducing bacteria and lichens were examined around the Yeochun industrial estate. Soil samples were collected from mountain and/or mountain edges around the Namhae Chemical Corp., which is located at the southern edge of the estate, and sampled plots which were selected at 2km, 4km, 6km, 8km, and 10km apart from the industrial estate. The forest soils around the industrial estate could be classified into the Reddish yellow forest soil group, but soil pH was quite lower than the soils of the group. Because of the extremely low soil pH, microbial activity related to mineralization of organic matter was expected to be very low even though C/N ratio ranged from 15 to 20. As a result, soil organic matter and total nitrogen in soil were relatively high compared to the soils of the group. In general, soil chemical properties around the industrial estate up to 4km apart from the estate were significantly different from the rest(more than 6km apart from the estate) possibly due to air pollution. However, denitrifying bacteria and sulfur-reducing bacteria did not show significant differences in colony forming units by the distances from the industrial estate. By the way, lichens showed distinct differences in frequencies and coverages by the distances from the industrial estate possibly due to air pollution. The corticolous lichens showed more sensitive response to the air pollution compared to the saxicolous lichens.

  • Making use of a certain operator of fractional derivative, a new subclass $L_p({\alpha},{\beta},{\gamma},{\lambda})$) of analytic and p-valent functions is introduced in the present paper. Apart from various coefficient bounds, many interesting and useful properties of this class of functions are given, some of these properties involve, for example, linear combinations and modified Hadamard product of several functions belonging to the class introduced here.

  • Polysomnography is used to diagnose many types of sleep disorders including sleep apnea, periodic limb movement disorder, REM sleep behavior disorder, parasomnias, and narcolepsy. It is a comprehensive recording of the biophysiological changes that occur during sleep. The polysomnography monitors many body functions parameters including EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, respiratory airflow, respiratory effort, and pulse oximetry during sleep. Multiple Sleep Latency Test (MSLT) is performed for diagnosing narcolepsy and excessive daytime sleepiness. It is usually to be done after an overnight polysomnography. The test consists of four or five 20-minute nap opportunities that are scheduled two hours apart.

  • There are various methods to detect the faulty electric facilities(esp, insulator) indirectly on power distribution lines at a certain distance apart. This paper describes the proto type equipment to detect a faulty insulator by receiving a electric discharge noises, which are generated with a periodicity of 120Hz.

  • There are many tunnels located apart short distance from each other in mountainous country like Korea. Serial tunnels are connected by snow shelter in many cases. This study presents some countermeasures against micro pressure wave at tile tunnel exit using snow shelter. Through 1/60 scale model laboratory test. we find that snow shelter with 3.6m slit and slit cover show the effect of reducing the micro pressure wave to about 60.5%.

  • This work proposes a new distributed and self-organized authentication scheme for mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs). Apart from describing all its components, special emphasis is placed on proving that the proposal fulfils most requirements derived from the special characteristics of MANETs, including limited physical protection of broadcast medium, frequent route changes caused by mobility, and lack of structured hierarchy. Interesting conclusions are obtained from an analysis of simulation experiments in different scenarios.

  • This paper presents a new approach on genetic algorithms to economic dispatch problem for valve point discontinuities. Proposed approach in this paper on genetic algorithms improves the performance to solve economic dispatch problem for valve point discontinuities through combination in penalty function with death penalty, generation-apart elitism, atavism and heuristic crossover. Numerical results on an actual utility system consisted of 13 thermal units show that the proposed approach is faster and robuster than classical genetic algorithm.

  • Today's world situation which is changing rapidly has affected conditions of furniture industries in Korea. Apart from the governmental assistance, companies are seeking for their own way to strengthen competitiveness in the international market by using the cultural identity as value added of their products. Accordingly, this study presents a furniture design process which refers to the identity of Korean furniture based on characteristics of it's traditional style. Also it could show the way to innovate quality of export furniture products.
