장벽이론과 인가조건 (THE Theory of Barriers and Licensing Condition)

  • Chomsky(1986b)가 제안한 장벽이론은 하위인접조건과 공범주원리를 장벽 이라는 하나의 개념으로 통합하려는 시도이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 그의 장벽 이론은 의도한 목적을 달성하지 못하고 있다. 본고는 공범주원리가 이접적으로 적용되도록 하고, 어휘지배를 핵인가조건으로 재정의하고, 선행어지배를 선행어 조건으로 대치함으로써, 후자가 하위인접조건과 선행어지배를 동시에 포괄할 수 있도록 하였다.이러한 시도는 의문사구 섭제약, 복합명사구제약, 주어조건, 부가어조건 등을 적적하게 설명해준다. 이러한 시도에 전제되는 것은 IP와 함께 VP가 의문사구이동에서 뿐만아니라 명사구이동에 있어서 예외적 범주로 취급되는 것을 막기 위해 Chomsk가 제안한 이동이론을 수정하여 통사부의 이동규칙은 부가를 허용하지 않는 것으로 보았다.

길랑-바레 양상으로 발현한 무통성 대동맥 박리 1례 (Painless Aortic Dissection Simulating Guillain-Barré Syndrome)

  • A 61-year-old man with an antecedent febrile illness presented with progressive flaccid paraparesis, but no sensory or sphincter involvement. Magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) of the spine was negative and nerve conduction study (NCS) showed the absence of F-waves in his legs, suggesting $Guillain-Barr{\acute{e}}$ syndrome (GBS). However, abdominal pain after admission led to the consideration of the spinal cord ischemia secondary to aortic dissection confirmed by computed tomography. We report the rare condition of painless aortic dissection simulating GBS.

On Subjunctives in Korean: Exploiting a Bilingual Corpus

  • This paper provides a corpus study on subjunctives in Korean in a way of comparative semantics. The whole arguments of this paper are bolstered by distributional evidence taken from naturally occurring bitexts (i.e. a bilingual corpus), in which one sentence in a language is aligned with one translation in the other language. Since previous studies regard past tense morphology as the main component to express irrealis and uncertainty, this paper accordingly checks out whether the past tense morpheme (e/a)ss in Korean is also responsible for conveying the meaning of subjunctives. My finding is that the past tense morpheme (e/a)ss is a sufficient condition for forming subjunctives in Korean. The current corpus study verifies that the past tense morpheme is not obligatorily used in present conditional counterfactuals in Korean, unlike English. Yet, if (e/a)ss is used and the antecedent denotes a present situation, the conditional sentence can only be interpreted as conveying counterfactuality. On the other hand, wish constructions in Korean, irrespective of the semantic tense, often contain the past tense morpheme. Hence, this work substantiates Iatridou (2000)'s theory of 'fake past tense' is applicable to Korean subjunctives. The present corpus study, additionally, reveals that a conditional marker telamyen is a component of expressing past counterfactuals in Korean.

유출곡선지수 회귀식을 이용한 보청천유역의 직접유출 모의연구 (Direct Runoff Simulation using CN Regression Equation for Bocheong Stream)

  • NRCS Curve Number (CN) method is widely used for practical purposes in the field by engineers and researchers to calculate direct runoff from total rainfall. However, CN is obtained from antecedent moisture condition and soil characteristics and so it has some problems due to its uncertainty. Therefore this study estimated CN of a watershed using asymptotic CN method which can estimate CN by rainfall and runoff data and compared the result with representative CN given by WAMIS. And we performed runoff simulation for rainy season of Bocheong stream by CN regression equation. From the result, we showed that it could be more reasonable to simulate direct runoff using watershed CN regression equation than WAMIS CN. Furthermore, we knew that the equation is more sensitive to small rainfall event.

남사천 하류지역 홍수피해 분석 (The Analysis for Flood Damage on Nam-sa Down Stream Region)

  • Where no records are available at a site, a preliminary estimate may be made from relations between floods and catchment chatacteristics. A number of these chatacteristics were chosen for testing and were measured for those catchments where mean annual flood estimates were available. Although the improvement using extended data in regression of flood estimates on catchment characteristics was small, this may be due to the limitations of the regression model. When an individual short term record is to be extended, more detailed attention can be given; an example is presented of the technique which should be adopted in practice, particularly when a short term record covers a period which is known to be biassed. A method of extending the peaks over a threshold series is presented with a numerical example. The extension of records directly from rainfall by means of a conceptual model is discussed, although the application of such methods is likely to be limited by lack of recording raingauge information. Methods of combining information from various sources are discussed in terms of information from catchment characteristics supplemented by records. but are generally applicable to different sources of information. The application of this technique to estimating the probable maximum flood requires more conservative assumptions about the antecedent condition, storm profile and unit hydrograph. It is suggested that the profile and catchment wetness index at the start of the design duration should be based on the assumption that the estimated maximum rainfall occurs in all durations centered on the storm peak.

Psychological Effect of Personalized Services on Customer's Website Loyalty in Fashion -Focusing on Cognitive Efficiency, Website Socialness, and Perceived Enjoyment-

  • Prior research highlighted personalized services as a crucial antecedent to website loyalty, yet little has been discussed on the underlying mechanism. The current study explores the intervening effects of the three psychological constructs in the personalization-loyalty relationship: cognitive efficiency, perceived enjoyment, and socialness. An experiment was conducted with a total of 414 U.S. shoppers on a fictitious e-tail site for jeans that employed different levels of personalized content. The results found that the participants exposed to the high-level personalization condition reported a higher cognitive efficiency and higher socialness perception regarding the fashion e-tail site; however, no direct effect of intensity of e-personalization was found on perceived enjoyment. Cognitive efficiency and enjoyment perceptions on the site significantly increased customers' loyalty intentions regarding the site, while website socialness perception had no direct effect on loyalty intentions. Website socialness showed indirect effects on website loyalty intentions only through cognitive efficiency and perceived enjoyment; however, no direct effect from website socialness was found. Implications and limitations of the study were discussed.

Impact of Service Quality and Perceived Value on Customer Satisfaction and Behavioral Intentions: Evidence from Convenience Stores in Vietnam

  • This research investigates the relationship among product quality, service quality, perceived value, customer satisfaction, and behavior intentions. Validated measurements were identified from a literature review. The measurement model and the conceptual model depicting hypothesized relationships were evaluated based on responses from 220 customers using confirmatory factor analysis and structural equation modeling. The testing results show that, for the direct path, product quality has a significant, positive influence on customer satisfaction, and behavioral intentions. Also, perceived value directly influences customer satisfaction and behavioral intentions and satisfaction is an antecedent of behavioral intentions. For the indirect path, service quality has a significant, positive influence on behavioral intentions through the customer satisfaction. The major finding of this study suggest that service quality easily attract more customers, especially the young consumers. About the sale personnel, communication skills, knowledge and ways of treatment to customers are crucial to retailers to gain competitive advantage over competitors. Therefore, it should have clear and consistent processes, procedures with criteria that create the best condition for organization and individual to open this kind of retailing store. Furthermore, product quality improvement is essential; all products must have clear originality; and diversifying products and services is also the way to appeal more consumers.

SCS-CN방법을 이용한 평창강 유역의 강수 함양량 선정 (Estimation of Precipitation Recharge in the Pyungchang River Basin Using SCS-CN Method)

  • The methodology developed by Soil Conservation Service for determination of runoff value from precipitation is applied to estimate the precipitation recharge in the Pyungchang river basin. Two small areas of the basin are selected for this study. The CN values are determined by considering the type of soil, soil cover and land use with the digital map of 1:25,000. Forest covers more than $94{\%}$ of the study area.. The CN values for the study area vary between 47 in the forest area and 94 in the bare soil under AMC 2 condition. The precipitation recharge rate is calculated for the year when the precipitation data is available since 1990. To obtain the infiltration rate, the index of CN and five day antecedent moisture conditions are applied to each precipitation event during the study period. As a result of estimation, the value of precipitation recharge ratio in the study area vary between $15.2{\%}\;and\;35.7{\%}$ for the total precipitation of the year. The average annual precipitation recharge rate is $26.4{\%}\;and\;26.8{\%}$, meaning 377.9mm/year and 397.5mm/year in each basin.

  • Geographic data which are difficult to handle by the characteristics of spatial variation and variety turned into a possibility to analyze with tlie computer-aided digital map and the use of Geographic Information System(GIS). The purpose of this study is to develop and apply a GIS application model (GISCELWAB) for the spatial simulation of surface runoff from a small watershed. This paper discribes the modeling procedure and the applicability of the cell water balance model (CELWAB) which calculates the water balance of a cell and simulates surface runoff of watershed simultaneously by the interaction of cells. The cell water balance model was developed to simulate the temporal and spatial storage depth and surface runoff of a watershed. The CELWAB model was constituted by Inflow-Outflow Calculator (JOC) which was developed to connect cell-to-cell transport mechanism automatically in this study. The CELWAB model requests detail data for each component of a cell hydrologic process. In this study, therefore, BANWOL watershed which have available field data was selected, and sensitivity for several model parameters was analyzed. The simulated results of surface runoff agreed well with the observed data for the rising phase of hydrograph except the recession phase. Each mean of relative errors for peak discharge and peak time was 0.21% and2.1 1% respectively. In sensitivity analysis of CELWAB , antecedent soil moisture condition(AMC) affected most largely the model.

전자상거래에서 물류서비스품질, 관계지향성, 고객만족, 고객충성도 간의 구조적 관계 (Structural Relationships of Logistics Service Quality, Relationship Orientation, Customer Satisfaction and Customer Loyalty in Electronic Commerce)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of logistics service quality and relationship orientation factors on customer satisfaction and loyalty in the electronic commerce context. Based on extensive review of relevant literature, nine components of logistics service quality(i.e. information quality, ordering procedures, ordering release quantities, timeliness, order accuracy, order quality, order condition, order discrepancy handling and personnel contact quality) and six components of relationship orientation(i.e. trust, bonding, communication, shared value, empathy and reciprocity) are introduced in this study. And a conceptual model is developed and five research hypotheses are empirically examined using structural equation modeling. The findings indicate that logistics service quality and relationship orientation are positively and significantly associated with customer satisfaction, and customer satisfaction is the antecedent variable of customer loyalty in the Internet Shopping Mall. In addition, a significant impact of logistics service quality on relationship orientation of the customer is revealed. Implications of these findings are discussed, and limitations of the study as well as further research directions are addressed.
