  • The battery pack which is a main component of E-scooter needs the cooling system because it is the matter of battery safety in spite of the incresing of charge efficiency due to decress the internal resistence in the condition of high temperature. The purpose of this study is to analyse the effects of cooling methods which is the control of air's inlet and outlet operating timing. When each battery had large temperature deviation in the battery pack, the difference of battery's performance and efficiency were appeared. In this study, the cooling performance of battery pack has been improved by changing the operation timing of inlet and outlet fan, it improved the performance and efficiency of battery. The numerical analysis using a commercial code ANSYS CFX version 17.0 were used for the study.

  • The addition of steel fibers in concrete mixture is recognized as a non-conventional mass reinforcement scheme that improves the torsional, flexural, and shear behavior of structural members. However, the analysis of fiber reinforced concrete beams under combined torsion, bending, and shear is limited because of the complicated nature of the problem. Therefore, nonlinear 3D finite element analysis was conducted using the "ANSYS CivilFEM" program to investigate the behavior of fiber reinforced concrete L-beams. These beams were tested at different reinforcement schemes and loading conditions. The reinforcement case parameters were set as follows: reinforced with longitudinal reinforcement only and reinforced with steel bars and stirrups. All beams were tested under two different combined loading conditions, namely, torsion-to-shear ratio (T/V) = 545 mm (high eccentricity) and T/V = 145 mm (low eccentricity). Eight intermediate L-beams were constructed and tested in a laboratory under combined torsion, bending, and shear to validate the finite element model. Comparisons with the experimental data reveal that the program can accurately predict the behavior of L-beams under different reinforcement cases and combined loading ratios. The ANSYS model accurately predicted the loads and deformations for various types of reinforcements in L-beams and captured the concrete strains of these beams.

  • Nowadays, one lift among the fundamental equipments at auto-repair must withstand the heavy weight of car. Therefore, the strong lift which is easy to make repairs on cars is the indispensible equipment. In this study, three kinds of lifts are modelled and the simulation analysis is carried out with the finite element analysis program of ANSYS. The durability of lifts due to each configuration can be estimated on the background of this study result and the data to be contributed to the development of new lift for car with safety and durability can be accumulated ultimately. And it is possible to be grafted onto the convergence technique at design and show the esthetic sense.

  • The use of equivalent circuit models of piezoelectric energy harvesters is inevitable when power circuitry including rectifying and smoothing circuit elements is connected to them for evaluating DC electrical outputs. This is because it is difficult to incorporate the electro-mechanical coupling resulting from the additional circuitry into the conventional finite element analysis. Motivated by this observation, we propose a method to accurately extract the equivalent circuit parameters by using commercially available FEM software such as ANSYS which provides three-dimensional AC piezoelectric analysis. Then the equivalent circuit can be analyzed by circuit simulators such as $SimPowerSystems^{TM}$ of MATLAB. While the previous works have estimated the circuit parameters by experimental measurements or by analytical solutions developed only for limited geometries and boundary conditions, the proposed method has no such limitation because piezoelectric energy harvesters of any shapes and boundary conditions can be treated in FEM software. For the verification of the proposed method, multi-modal AC electrical power output by using a corresponding equivalent circuit is compared with that by ANSYS. The proposed method is then shown to be very useful in the subsequent evaluation of DC electrical output which is obtained by attaching a bridge diode and a storage capacitor to a piezoelectric energy harvester.

  • A nonlinear, three-dimensional finite element analysis was conducted on six intermediate L-shaped spandrel beams using the "ANSYS Civil FEM" program. The beams were constructed and tested in the laboratory under eccentric concentrated load at mid-span to obtain a combined loading case: torsion, bending, and shear. The reinforcement case parameters were as follows: without reinforcement, with longitudinal reinforcement only, and reinforced with steel bars and stirrups. All beams were tested under two different combined loading conditions: T/V = 545 mm (high eccentricity) and T/V = 145 mm (low eccentricity). The failure of the plain beams was brittle, and the addition of longitudinal steel bars increased beam strength, particularly under low eccentricity. Transverse reinforcement significantly affected the strength at high eccentricities, that is, at high torque. A program can predict accurately the behavior of these beams under different reinforcement cases, as well as under different ratios of combined loadings. The ANSYS model accurately predicted the loads and deflections for various types of reinforcements in spandrel beams, and captured the critical crack regions of these beams.

  • In our country, domestic species can not be used as a structural member because we have not yet grading system. So, to utilize as a basic data of grading system, bending test and numerical modelling on structural member were conducted in this study. 35 of Douglas-fir, 2" ${\times}$ 6", span 2.4 m were tested for the bending properties, and Ansys software was used to analyze the numerical modelling on the structural members. The data of knots were inspected and applied in numerical modelling. To obtain the accuracy of analysis, nonlinear numerical analysis was carried out instead of linear numerical analysis. Ultimate load had a wide range from 4883N to 11,738 N, and maximum deformation also had a range from 26 mm to 68 mm. Average of ultimate load was 8,616 N, and that of maximum deformation was 48 mm. The distinctive features of failure types were simple tension type and cross-grain tension type. Ulitmate load and maximum deformation from numerical modelling were 7,504 N and 37 mm. The numerical modelling drawn by this study is available to all species, and reasonable prediction on the bending performance is possible with only some material properties.

  • The purpose of this paper is that investigates the dynamic behavior characteristic of W.T.S (wind turbine system) and carries out the evaluation analysis during operating W.T.S. To investigate the dynamic behavior characteristic of W.T.S, the experiments to measure vibration of the blade from the attached accelerometer on the flap and edge section of the blade that is one of the most important elements of dynamic characteristic of W.T.S are performed. Natural frequency and mode shape are calculated with commercial program ( ANSYS) using the measured vibration acceleration that receives the signal with F.F.T Analyzer from the accelerometer For validation of these experiments, the finite element analysis is performed with commercial F.E.M program (ANSYS) on the basis of the natural frequency and mode shape. The results indicate that experimental values have good agreements with the finite element analysis.

  • The turbulent flow in the rotor-stator mixer is based on shear characteristics generated by the interaction of the stator with the rotor rotating at high speed. In this study, the flow characteristics analysis of the unsteady state generated by the interaction of the rotor and the stator in the prototype model of the emulsion-fuel related mixer development was performed with the MRF and SMM by applying the ANSYS FLUENT $k-{\varepsilon}$ (RKE) turbulence model. The behavior and shear characteristics of the flow particles generated at the interface between the designed rotor and stator, and trends such as velocity distribution and turbulence eddy dissipation, were predicted and verified using the CFD analysis.

  • Blast loads may considerably affect the response of structures. In previous years, before computer analysis programs, the parameters of blast effects were calculated with empirical methods, consequently some researchers had proposed equations to find out the phenomenon. In recent year's computer analysis programs have developed already, so detailed solutions can be made numerically. This paper describes the blasting response of the structures using numerical and empirical methods. For the purpose, a reinforced concrete retaining wall is modelled using ANSYS Workbench software, and the model is imported to ANSYS AUTODYN software to perform explicit analyses. In AUTDYN software, a sum of TNT explosive is defined 5,5 m away from the wall and solution is done. Numerical results are compared with those of obtained from empirical equations. Similar study is also considered for equal explosive which is the 4 m away from the wall. The results are represented by graphics and contour diagrams of such as displacements and pressures. The results showed that distance of explosive away from the wall is highly affected the structural response of it.
